  1. The Master is the arch enemy of The Doctor, a fellow time lord, he has the ability to regenerate at the point of death and like The Doctor has been played by a number of actors. I present the 6 incarnations of The Master in minifigures form, hope you enjoy- all feedback welcome! The First Master The Master was first introduced during the Third Doctor era, an old friend turned enemy of The Doctor, the first Master was a shadowy and maipulative figure who often used others to do his bidding. The character was retired after the real life death of actor Roger Delgado.
  2. I would love to build it for real but unfortunately the main colour is extreemley rare, LDD calls it medium nougat (it's the colour they used for the pigs if that helps) and I don't think they make bricks in it at all. The sand green roof pieces I'm pretty sure don't exist either. The curtain idea is something I have considered, possibly using the method in the GE changing room but unfortunately it cannot be realised in LDD. The table and chairs are a good idea, I'm going to be revamping the interior soon!
  3. Thanks to everyone for your kind feedback, I have done a substantial redesign because I was concerned that it was too much of a big square box. I have also added a SNOT sign to more clearly define it as a hospital and added air condioners and a skylight to the roof. I am also experimenting with rendering at the moment and will hopefully add some referred images of the interior soon!
  4. Thanks, I chose the colours very carefully, every modular seems to have a 'signature' colour (sand green on GG, dark orange for TH etc) so I chose the medium nougat because it stands out and looks like the old brick that Victorian era hospitals were made from, the light grey is concrete and the brown frames are wood.
  5. There is a back door and some space behind (it's most visible on the first picture) I considered a helipad, but it wouldn't fit with the time period.
  6. Hi everyone This is my first MOC on Eurobricks that isn't for a contest, hope you enjoy! A few people have said that a Modular Hospital would be impossible, but I have had a go. I have tried to stay within the syle and restrictions of the official modular line whilst still keeping the essance of a hospital of this period (1950's/60's). Any constructive feedback is welcome! On the outside, I have attempted to add texture with brickwork and the rod of Asclepius (the snake around the staff) and the date in a similar style to the TH and FB. Parked outside is a period appropriate ambulance. The ground (first) floor has an emergency triage to treat patients, a reception desk and a Doctor's office where a poor woman is getting a booster shot! Details on this floor include a gold statue of the hospital's founder and (not visible in this picture) yellow bins for medical waste. Like the TH, there is an elevator rather than stairs, I prefer stairs, but a lift is more realistic for a hospital and there is not room for both. The middle floor contains the pharamcy, laboratory and X-Ray room. X-Rays are a slight anachronisim, but I couldn't not include them! The top floor is the ward where two patients are recovering. The man has a leg in plaster and the little girl has had her tonsils out, so she has ice cream. Also on this floor is the operating theatre where the surgeon is preparing to operate on a man who appears to be wide awake! Unfortunately there are no sleeping faces! I'm still fine tuning my creation, so I hope to post some updates soom. Sorry for the poor quality pictures, I'm still getting used to things around here! If you like the General Hospital, it is on Lego Ideas.
  7. Brickfactory has scans of the actual instructions or they're on the lego website
  8. I'm bricklinking it, but that's because I have over 1000 pieces for it in my collection already, so it's working out much cheaper that way
  9. I couldn't agree more! I am personally enjoying my hunt for the FB, especially since I've decided not to build any of it until I have all of its parts
  10. That's why I decided to skip GG for now and go for FB instead (947 parts and counting) my fingers are crossed that TLG will bring out a new set that uses sand green, in particular 1x2 with grooves so that it will become financially viable, but I fear I'll have arthritis before that happens!
  11. The large black bricks do indeed have metal in them, they are ballast for one of the old (mid to late 90s) ships that were designe to float in water
  12. I guess that's true for most sets, unfortunately I was late to the party!
  13. So far it's coming in at £302.97 via PaB and BnP that doesn't include the red garage door panels or the 6x5 doors which aren't available. I still need to check the pieces I already have which will bring the cost down considerably. It originally cost £99.99 I think
  14. Hi, I recently got the Palace Cinema as a present and am totally bitten by the modular bug! I'm going to try and bricklink some of the ones I've missed, starting with the Fire Brigade (I've decided to skip the GG for now due to the cost of the sand green bricks), am I the only one bricklinking the FB? I'll keep you posted as I go along!
  15. Have you tried Abraham Lincoln's torso from the Movie CMF series? It looks quite like the Doctor's outfit in this episode
  16. In the TV show Only Fools and Horses, the character Del Boy refers to their government issued flat as a 'council built Lego set' no actual Lego appears on screen, but it's a funny line!
  17. In the London Olympics CMF series, the relay runner has 1948 as his number, 1948 was the last time London hosted the games
  18. 20 gazumpty 2 1 Paperballpark 2 2 lightningtiger 1
  19. I have improved my post with better pictures, my thanks to lightningtiger for your advice! I have based my entry on the Hog Roast seen at many Winter Markets such as the one in Belfast. A whole pig is roasted very slowly over many hours to create soft tender meat for sale. I have taken inspiration from all of the previous Winter Village sets in my design, such as the flooring and the bench seen outside. I have also used a red 2x3 light brick to represent the open fire used to roast the pig. There are also five minifigures, The Stall Owner, two Customers (like everything in the Market, the roast apparently costs $100!) and a couple getting into the festive spirit under the mistletoe! This is my first post on Eurobricks and my first MOC created for a contest, so your comments are most welcome!
  20. Hi I am from Northern Ireland and have been building lego for almost twenty five years. I stumbled on Eurobricks completely by accident and was immediately taken by the Expand The Winter Village contest (if only I'd found it four years ago!) I'm already working on my entry and can't wait to share it with you all, along with my other MOCs!
