But I must say, there is not supposed to be windows, it is a Central Bank that among other things stores the nation's gold reserves, it is not a bank open to customers popping in off the street...

Thanks alot Big Cam. Yes, as you can see alot of the pieces look old, kinda yellowy, but I was thinking that it added to the overall look of a higgledy-piggeldy castle feel so I was happy using those pieces. It took about 3 hours but of course was never finished.

Hi all, I decided to post some pics of my first castle in a long long time. I mainly focus on town stuff but after speaking to my friend's 8 year old kid I wanted to show him that Lego castle's can look cool (not just Playmobil, as he believes).. The castle was never finished, but the front was more or less done. It is a rush job and Im sure people can spot it. I even messed up the portcullis, forgot to leave grooves. Well that's what can happen if you don't build a castle in about 15 years however I was happy with the front (esp the brown thingy, as last time I made a castle I didnt have one brown piece), and Keep (kinda), although the inside yards needed some work, maybe some houses, barns/stables etc but I realised my horses were in my parents house so... However I must say it was a pleasure to be building castle again as I felt freer to place bricks any old way without thinking ;)

That kid needs to watch where he is going on his skateboard =) This has a real nice classic feel to it, maybe apart from the skateboard which is a relatively new piece. Nice job!
