  1. Must be sweet opening that press :) Some great sets you have there, I love the Pizzeria, burger joint and Octan station especially!
  2. LOL! funny comment.. Nice moc for sure. :)
  3. This is fantastic Yanzl! absolutely love the doors and boot. Great job. Would be nice to see it in bricks.
  4. Neat moc. I like the lights bar alot.
  5. Sweet. Is that you in the blue?
  6. Yes, the way the sides can open up and close so neatly is very impressive! Great train!
  7. I suggest you just buy basic pieces and build your own. I'm sure you can make stuff alot better than any Post or Pre 1995 set!!
  8. Well colours are the same as DHL and few other postal companies I know of but believe it is just coincidence. LEGO didn't have many colours in the 1980s Joebot, any more pics of your modified hospital?? Looks good from what I see!
  9. I'm not into SW but I appreciate a great SW moc when I see one and this is one such. Well done and kudos to your friend for the instructions, very good!
  10. Between 10 and 15. I only have 10 fingers to count
  11. Seems very good for an official set. Sure beats the recent trains which were pretty bad.
  12. Very nice.
  13. Thanks for the tips guys, although I got them after I registered with dream-hosting .. I was impatient I suppose. I have registered www.minifigtimes.com as the name for my new site. I guess I will wait and see, however, so far things look OK. Unfortunately I am not web wizard so don't know what PHP is etc.. have heard it banded around, might try to see if I can learn how to use it, after I learn what it is :) Skinnyboy, the site will be my Legoland Times just transferred so not sure it will have anything specific to Ireland apart from the fact that it is where the news comes from :) .. any word on www.brickie.ie or similar site starting up?
  14. Thanks for the tips - noted :) I got a tip to consider http://www.dream-hosting.co.uk They do seem to be great value, at £9.99 a year! So far most hosting sites cost about £5 a month so this seems good? Any obvious flaw? * 500Mb of disk space * 10GB Bandwidth per month * 5 MySQL Databases with PHPMyAdmin * 5 Add-on domain name allowance * Unlimited POP3 Email Account @yourdomain.co.uk * CPanel Web Based web site Control Panel * Fantastico - Including PHP-Nuke, phpBB2, OS Commerce... * Unlimited subdomains.yourdomain.co.uk * Web Based Email / Email Forwarding / Email Auto Responders * Web Based File Manager & FTP Access * PHP & Perl * Front Page 2002® Extensions * Personal CGI-BIN * 128 Bit SSL Server (you will require a certificate) * SSH Secure Shell Access * Pre-Written CGI Scripts * Complete Web Site Backup Utility * Detailed Site Statistics Wasn't really planning on selling anything, but who knows. Not sure if the above features support that? By the way, nice site you have, those balls out of square bricks look good. I need some to throw at my brother :)
  15. Thanks for the info Thee Pirate! I suppose I want first to find out how much I'd expect to pay annually just for the site domain name, like for example www.insert-site-name-here.com ... edit: ok I found this site for example http://www.register.com/titan/index.rcmx Seems cheap to register a domain name with them: 150$ for 10 years However, if I got a domain name of them, it is a bad idea to get hosting services of another crowd? The hosting services seems to be the costly part, guess makes sense.
  16. OK! I forgive you! this time :skull:
  17. Sturdyness: Usability: Overall:
  18. I think this is good news and competition is good. I don't understand how someone can say "competition is bad". They must like monopolies. The consumer decides if they are willing to pay for a more expensive products. If they prefer the cheaper product then the quality difference isn't big enough. IMO the quality of TLC's bricks has been deteriorating anyway and those of it's competitors can only improve and close the gap. Competition is likely to force TLC to reduce set prices AND increase quality. Same with their competitors. The problem for TLC however is the recession. Expect large fall in profits next year, maybe losses.
  19. Hi there, I am thinking of buying a domain name and paying for hosting services for a new LEGO related website. The problem is I am not sure really if there are things to look out for. Cost is my main concern, I want it as cheap as possible but I don't know what is "cheap" for such products. So as a few members here seem to have their own sites, I was wondering if you had any tips, ideas on what is cheap, and whether I should look for specific features or something else? Also, perhaps you recommend a local based provider or does it matter much? Well if you have any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks!
  20. I agree with Lord Santos, the water level could be raised 1 or 2 plates higher. Also I think the fountain should be 1 or 2 studs wider from all angles, i.e. more water. However in saying that it is still a very neat lil moc good job for sure
  21. Well these guys certainly aren't vegetarians. Nice moc
  22. Very impressed. Love the wooden feel to the walls and tower. Nice job :)
  23. Great layout you guys have there. Love the building site and hotel/tourist place! Hope the 'figs are wearing sunblock :)
  24. Great review there. This set is one of my faves for sure. I love the "Black Falcons" - here I always grew up knowing them Draco and not BFs, this castle was sold here as "Castle Draco". How on earth did you buy 50 of them? These knights have the best appearance ever IMO, the crest is great and real-life, you are really lucky!
  25. I am not impressed by these, they are too large, especially if most your sets like mine are from the 1980s and 1990s. Nice to see a box of minifigs although as there are just 4 and as the road signs are ugly I won't be parting with any money in '09. Well I might buy some food. Klaus-Dieter I take it that you have high cholestrol?
