  1. Great to see someone doing 4 wides, my favourite. The second car's roof is the oddest I've ever seen. Never saw that Fabuland part before used in a Town set before. Weird but funny.
  2. Very nice. Love the sorting track. Van is real neat too. Good job.
  3. I feel 6380 Emergency Treatment Center is the best approach for the happiness and LONG TERM health of minifigs. However, one would remember that the staff and consumables are just as important as the facilities.
  4. Very nice Milan.. Would love to see it in military colours, baige preferably. :)
  5. I would have thought from a wholly business point of view it would not have made sense to have another licensed theme around the same time period, bearing in mind there was SW and HP. Obviously many people who loved SW also loved LOTR but these only had one LEGO budget. Making multiple themes at the same time would lose TLG money. As LOTR is a franchise whose interest should last amongst many people I wouldnt rule out a franchise in future. In any case, with trolls, dwarfs, and the array of new parts in the last 10 years it is becoming ever more easier to make realistic LOTR MOCs.
  6. No. Apologies. I made error on hyperlinks to pictures and clicked Back in browser as I hit submit :( I've changed the pics on one to a different scene I've made to try and make up for it.
  7. Thanks for the feedback guys. I have taken on board the suggestions you made (as I agreed with them :) ) I've made two versions of a modified tank turret. The first 2 pics is just the barrel length shortened and lowered as suggested. The last 2 pics is the tank with a new turret, lower with similar shortened barrel. Please let me know which you think is better. I'm veering for the second.
  8. Here is a simple enough military tank I made. Over a year ago I purchased 6 concept tanks from LEGO Factory and this pic is basically the "pimped" version using some pieces I had that LEGO Factory didn't. The main idea was that the tank should be as cheap as possible. I believe the concept version was around 17 euro excl. p&p. Hope you like. Pimped: Concept:
  9. The Toyota is a favourite car of the Legoban. More pics Related news
  10. The Legoban's tactic of using land mines is resulting in large casualties in the Legoland Republican Guard. More pics Related news
  11. Well in IE and many other EU countries Post Offices are also involved in banking and social welfare and therefore can hold large quantities of cash! Hope that sheds some light on Why one would rob it. They aren't after stamps :)
  12. BRICKLYN-The Empire Police are hunting an armed male minifig after a brazen hold-up at the Bricklyn Post Office shortly before closing time today. The gunfig is believed to have escaped with a considerable amount of cash and the company have offered a £5,000 reward for information leading to the apprehension of the fugitive.... The CCTV images of the raid clearly shown a hairy minifig demanding cash be put in his suitcase whilst fearful customers watched on. No minifigs were hurt in the robbery. Empire Police chief Biggus Piggus reckoned that the robber's hair was not real. "No minifig with any ounce of self-respect would have a hairstyle like that", he told reporters
  13. For big buildings where u have space to hide wiring u can use a €4 box of standard Xmas lights for cheap solution :)
  14. well it's not over yet although doesn't look good for the Reds :P
  15. Couple of pics from today's big game... and outside the ground Latest score: from the Derby
  16. Thanks Klaus, I take your comments on board :) However the one + of using the arches is if I need to feed any minifigs to the lions it will look closer to a colloseum type structure (just kidding minifig rights people) Cheers, you like T Hotspurs? Yes, the white lines, dugouts, goalposts, adverts etc need to be added but they are pretty easy to do thankfully.. For the first 20 years of my Lego hobby I had around 500 figs, with my bro having around 150, but I added nearly another 2000 from eBay a little over a year ago. Compared to buying figs through sets in shops or Lego online shop, eBay is the place to be as probably average 25% of the cost, i.e. 4 figs on eBay for 1 on Lego online shop.
  17. That's a good idea. I may put a logo on the terrace at one of the ends. Not sure I could fit a logo on the outside wall, maybe on the grey pillars but for symmetry I would probably need to put it on 2 pillars. Their crest is hard to make in Lego without being huge, closest I came to was here..
  18. Thanks for your comment Milan. Yes I probably will use some lights. In the past (See pic)I have used christmas lights as a cheap solution, the only issue I foresee is the amount of wiring they come with and the weight it could have on the roof. By the way I took out the hoover before taking the pic! Hi Aawsum, Yes I expect to fill it out in a week for the meeting of Legoland FC and United on 10 Oct 2009.
  19. Love it!
  20. Hi all, I've taken some pictures of a stadium I have made for a SuperLeague football club. The ground is moduler with the towers, roof and each 32x32 stud section easily separated aiding transport from one location to another should it be needed. Capacity should be around 1,500 as it is smaller than another which fitted just under 2,000 for a game. Some pics are during the build and the final one is where it's new home is. Some problems were experienced fitting the sides together when on carpet as opposed to wooden (totally flat) floor. I am not sure how to get around this, perhaps find a spare bit of wood or lino somewhere .. I have just installed the WCs and shower doors in the changing rooms so now minifig footballers have some privacy. More pictures +
  21. From Top Gear website: Today is a good day. Well, if you were worried about James May
  22. that's a good idea, thanks alot - I will investigate :)
  23. Hi, Does anyone know of a toy football / soccer ball that is SMALLER than the LEGO one? The LEGO one is too big for what I need, I need one about 50-65% it's size. Thanks.
