What were you chambered for? :-)

I last time I criticised :-D Did you see this before on brickshelf? Someone took a photo of you beside a weird plant!

Well I know it is not popular to moan and criticise the "Great LEGO Group" on this page but I think these sets aren't anything to get worked up about. I notice people here say this is great compared to this blah blah but what they are generally doing is comparing this with real crap sets of last 7 years. The port is not as good as the previous one (with red crane, 1 ship, 1 pilot boat). Can't you see that? The Octan station is no way near as good as the 1990s-era one. In fact it is one of the worst petrol stations I have ever seen. It just looks messy. Sure there is a lot of detail, but it is a mess. LEGO are a bunch of imbeciles making the baseplate light grey, a colour that clashes with the current road baseplates. Do LEGO do this on purpose? Do they need to see the doctor? They seem to have no idea that some people want their roads and sets to merge seemlessly, but I guess most people here don't care about having a mix-mash of various roadplates? On a more general note, why the heck do nearly all lego men have hats (especially stupid baseball ones) , and not hair. It's as scary as the lack of women!

End result was not my kind of girl anyway.

Those letters are hilarious, especially yours. I don't watch CBBC, too old etc, but I reckon you are probably right on most of those points. TV is generally dumbing down. But really, both you and the Beeb need to turn on your spell checkers :-D :-D :-D

I agree nearly completely with everyone here. The new scale of cars sucks. And What I hate most is the new wheels on cars, it prevents me from making traditional scale mocs that look nice *n* or even nearly "nice" Yes the women thing is a problem. Especially considering that nearly all the world's nations have more women than men bar China. That of course means that TLC are losing even more than 50% of the market. Btw, I think Queer is fine word to use in Europe since some queers use it to identify themselves as being queer which is cool, no problem with me. Anyway, perhaps the problem in legoland is that the women are queer and aren't having any more women kids. Ever think of that Highland! :-D

Hmmm I think you are being seriously overly optimistic. I have never seen any police station, fire station or airport that looks even remotely like one of the lego sets in 2005/6. They might have more detail on the inside, eg more PCs, phone, stickers etc but it is easy to make this kind of detail (just a few special bricks) and it doesn't make up for the exterior design which IMO is extremely poor and childish. Nevertheless, I believe the crane set in the construction subtheme was an improvement.

Celts would be better! :-D -
Hey hi. You know, the first picture of the street scene with builders, firemen etc, I saw in my local shop! I guess TLC made a few identical ones

Hi. Nice to see you *y*

It is very good. It is good to see buildings like this church being built and not just the usual stuff. The detail inside the cathedral is nice, especially the alter and tombs and stainless glass windows and bit of a boeing. Your idea of more arches is good. Perhaps you could make some flying buttresses on the outside of the building. My only recommendation would be that you could consider building a church tower or as you have some vikings, perhaps a round tower eg http://www.roundtowers.org/glendalough/PB090484ax.jpg in the church grounds. What's BFPDX and NWBC07. Competitions?

I think similarly but Transformers never appealed to me. Anyway it is probably possible to make good transformer MOCs using existing pieces?

You are always welcome to visit Asuka. Some good bargains in Legoland Stores.
