Great idea for MOCs *y* Those are some quality models of what's in the game. Are you going to build any Red Alert MOCs? Like the Prism and Mirage Tank. *wub* or the Magnetron P

I figured out a rough formula to know what the top speed of a ship is in prime conditions in knots. It's not perfect, but it's the best i've figured out so far. :-) To get this formula i used the attributes of real ships to figure it out on excel graphs. Ok... It's kind of rough right now. But the ships i've figured out so far is that the Armada flag ship has a top speed of 9.2 knots the Emporer's Ship has a top speed of 4.3 knots my Junk has a top speed of 13.6 knots **Edit: my Xebec has a top speed of 22 knots and my Dame du Loup has a top speed of 17.6 knots.** The formula is partially a multiplication of the length to beam ratio and the sail area to dispersement ratio. The real ships used were the: HMS Victory USS Constitution Flying Cloud HMS Surprise some ship called the "Albert Leo Schlageter" and the USS United States. I'll probably post the exact formula when i've simplified it to a formula that already figures in differences in scale and converting to and from english and metric. P Edit: Hey Duke, you forgot to mention that one turn is roughly equivelent to 30 seconds in real-life.

Hmm It would be interesting to see pics of people's current fleets. Maybe another index X-D An index of your current ships (oh yeah and forts) built and have the discussion to keep the Index Maker up to date when stuff is completed (or under construction) or gets destroyed for other things. P

I hope that the System pirate ships don't look anything like this :-X if TLG ever decides to make pirates that is 8-| I'd probably still buy it for the piratey piece :-/ P

oh my goodness i don't remember that at all. All of the boxes got thrown away growing up. Also, it was originally my other brother's (not duke) and i bought his legos from him. So i would have no idea what color the box is, its been thrown away for 15 years now 8-| P

I know what you mean. I've got all my new dark bley plates in one drawer and put the same type of plates together. And i see variations of each dark bley brick :'-( But i would have no idea if that was a problem in the past cause many of my bricks are 15 to 20 years old |-/

Legopirate, Your ship is getting quite far! :) Besides the mizzen and foremast, what else needs to be done on it yet? Also, is this ship going to have modualar parts to it? Thanx for the Lantern tutorial. My brother, dukeschunke, will probably use something very similar for his HMS Victory. I was going to purchase B@tP but i then decided not to for fear of having some of the figs with plain torso under their armor :-X I also don't like stickers, i know they've been around forever, but that doesn't mean i have to like them :-/ I think a lot of the star wars sets do really well, except for all the colors *wacko* It seems they get more colorful every year. P

I couldn't find one in the Piratey part of EB, but is there a glossory of these terms Mr. P? P

That's funny :'-) I think the Accessory index would make more sense in the tutorial section, a good portion of the "MOCs" are actually portions of MOCs. As for the Cannon Index, I have no idea. If you need to pick one, i don't think it really matters. Mr. P wants it in the MOCs portion while Tedbeard wants it in the tutorials. I don't think it'd be confusing to have it in both. I'll leave that up to the boss (Mr. Phes) P

Thanx Legopirate, not as color cohesive and elaborate as your ship-of-the-line, but it's my first big MOC. :) As an imperial ship right now, it can easily hold 44 long guns and 16 carronades. When the pirates take it over, there could easily be 10 more guns thrown on. X-D Commodore, I thought you quit the navy before reaching the rank of Admiral? :-D Thanx Mr. P Thanx for the promo pic.
