Two black barrels for my 32-lb carronades. Now i've got 5 :-) only need 15 more to have the correct amount on the USS Constitution And some other misc bricks on BL. P

Hey Z, Nice ship so far. How many gun-decks are going to be on it? That's a very unique build technique for a brick-built hull *y* It seems to be working out so far. :) Your cathead seems pretty flimsy though |-/ Do you have the Millennium Falcon (set #4504) or Jabba's Sail Barge? This piece is included: It's what i used on the DDW to get a solidly mounted 45 degree angle on my cathead. P

The folder's now moderated *y* I like the bell and cannons here: Looking forward to your walk through. P

(sorry for the double post; didn't think i'd get done with the HMS Charlie today) Well here it is. Red yard arms and all :-P this one should work for the index :-$ Here's the thumbnail link: Here are a couple of pics with the HMS Charlie next to the Dame du Loup: Thanx to B, I was able to get a real nice looking british flag in the back *y* P

Viva La Emporer! With the help of dukeschunke, I was able to muster up a French crew worthy of la Emporer. Since the Dame du Loup is nearing completion and almost ready for sea trials, the Emporer decided to take a look at the new crew and the ship. The crew was ready and in tight formation. The Emporer decided to bring one of his Norwegian friends. It was my first custom fig, so hopefully i did ok X-D This Boneparte fig is actually wearing a space suit underneith his uniform :-D P

Hmm. Maybe i could make a light colored fort on a platform of white plates and bricks to make a cloud :-D P

My escort frigate (yes probably not an accurate description)

Sorry mate, Cutlass Cole's been banned 8-| I think he was talking about your second ship mentioned in this post: How many ships do you have built/under construction? P -
When you're crimping the sails between plates, have the paper barely touching the studs. Otherwise it looks like the top sail here: But the bottom one was barely touching the studs and i think it turned out real nice *y* The port holes are exactly the same size, and you put 2 of the hinge plates at the exact same spot as the "flag mount". So if you wanted, you could even convert your current ships too. It's also real easy to find each piece for 0.04 USD (usually less) in large quantities. I can't really take credit for the idea cause i saw it on a another thread here somewhere. P Edit: Found the thread where i got that port hole idea: It's the HMS Bellarophon by Paladin. X-D

No I would never invade the great Z @ Fort Brighton. X-D Hmm. Sounds kool *sweet* *y* (about this theoredical ghost ship err... phantom ship :-D ) Do you know of any lego conventions in the twin cities? It'd be real sweet to eventually have yous Minnesotens and we Wiscawsinites with all our fleets together *wub* P

I have BARELY enough 1x8, 1x6, or 1x10 black plates to finish the DDW. What i had enough of was red, yellow, and white :S . Of those three i thought red was the best. Hopefully will be getting more black plates off of BL in the next month. Hey B, you get the HMS Speedy Wiki article on the Wiki index? When ya gonna have new pics and an update of the L'Oriente? Thanx for the compliments guys X-D *y* I made this ship as a practice of a couple of things: Tried using 2 and 2 and 1 for porthole covers instead of 2x2 flags. and tried using paper sails instead of cloth. P P

Hey yous guys, This is about set #851010. When i first got these bricks, i didn't realize how strong they were with magnets only in the center cylinders. I mainly got them because my wife wanted them. :-/ Then i realized that they're very strong for their relative size 8-

My Brother and I now consider to be 1-4 pound swivel.

She may look cute, but she can be very mean to everyone except me :-P The HMS Sophie is a larger Brig loosely based on the HMS Speedy in ship design and story line. HMS Speedy Wiki article Couple of thumbnail links of a model of the HMS Sophie: * P Edit: As of 20APR07, here's some pics of the HMS Charlie: The start of the crew for me ship. I'm able to make 5 british marines with shakos and a couple of blue imperials for officers. P

My name is Fred spelled with a Ph :-| but at other websites i'm derhp (phred backwards :-P ) Fun topic, even though my name's not too fun |-/ P

knew someone was gonna post something like this :-D I had HoloDocs age in my mind when i typed it ;-) Edit:

I think these stores in the UK with shooting cannons or cannon base may have some piratey elements ;-) My favorite name for a pirate ship is the Queen Anne's Revenge *y* . The Wiki Link P

Hey B, You should use Emperor Palpetine's face to get the REALLY aged look. P

There seem to be A LOT of ppl under 18. I personally didn't even really read the user agreement when i signed :-$ But i figured it was common sense stuff like no name calling or bad language, no inappropriate links or pics, etc. Just from what i've observed: It's seems to be a lot easier for ppl under 18 to get banned. Main thing i think is to do what admin and mods tell you on forum behavior when they feel you aren't behaving properly. Reason being is that it's not a democracy here and you don't have a right to be here. But on the flip side: I like reading about all the replies of ppl from all sorts of ages, from 11 yr. olds to 38 yr. olds X-D P

I wouldn't put no more than a swivel cannon on that row boat. On the Fabuland Rowboats, you might be able to have 9-12 pounder or maybe even a non-moc cannon (maybe) The silver ones aren't mine X-D , but the rest are. I've got almost all the pieces needed to build 16 of them (not in silver though), but i don't have anywhere to put them |-/ P

What country do you live in? Edit: Here's a pirate ship name generator. X-D And another website about names and some short bio's on famous pirates.

Baronsat is the only one i know off that may be interested. Here's his contact page at his website. And here's his contact info to pm him at Eurobricks. Hope that helps. P

Some other questions too: What type of duties will the ship be performing? What type of crew is she gonna have?( a rag-tag bunch, or a bunch of uniformed dudes) P
-
She's a fat cat, so probably not :-P Well i was originally was going to try to make the HMS Sophie off the cover of Master and Commander. Then i realized my beam was about 8 studs too thin so i kept the original stern and built the rest of the ship. That's why there's a little window there :-/ P
-
I mostly agree with you now. X-D My brother and i consider the cannons to have a small range of calibers now to accommodate the fact that there are more variations in caliber of actual cannons than there are small variations of lego bricks :) We now consider to be 1-4 pound swivel, to be a 9-12 pounder, to be a 18-24 pounder, to be a 32-36 pounder, and to be a 42-(maybe)48 pounder. P

That could easily fend off almost all of the individual MOCs built or being built on EB! Then you have a whole fleet of ships at your disposal. I think Ft. Brighton is safe from anybody for a while. P
