Thanks very much, cesbrick!

This is a beautiful little build. So compact yet so much life. The way you've managed to pack everything in is very clever and really gives the MOC character. I particularily like the winding path and the stone wall/balcony thing.

Nice! I used to have these too - the ship is one of my favorite sets ever. Alas, with the state their in now, there's no hope of recovery.

There's a nice little popcorn type article on the Telegraph's website rating the transfer dealings of all the Premiership clubs: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/premier-league/11069295/Premier-League-transfer-window-Club-by-club-ratings.html I reckon it makes a good talking point anyway. So how would you rate your club's transfer dealings (whatever league they're in)? Personally I think Swansea have done quite well, removing the troublesome players associated with Laudrup, holding on to their top scorer Bony and signing some quality new players (Sigurdson fits in perfectly and Jefferson Montero is looking like a superb fast and incisive winger). My only big regret is the loss of Ben Davies, he was turning into a strong and versatile left back and I fear he might be marginalised at Spurs.

Thanks very much, Commissioner Gordon. Yes, I'm working on right now; a battle scene this time. Thanks, Robert8! Yes, I'm really looking forward to that minifig, I'll definitely be getting a few of them - so many nice pieces!

Anyone following transfer deadline day? Radamel Falcao on loan to Man U - now there's some firepower, woof!

Has Bricklink fallen over ?

Seems alright to me. I just logged in. -
No, I'm in Ceredigion. But I get down that way quite often, either for rock climbing or the beach. I have no doubt I'll be down there again soon and will pop in to Carew when I do.

Thanks very much, Adolfo! Thanks very much Gary, I'm already working on the next one!

Sounds like a great day, Off the wall. I've been down the Liberty watching Swansea thrash West Brom. I have to say that the season ticket is really offering value for money this season. The Swans played really well today and I'm begining to revise my initial pessimism about their chances. I like the Baggies though and hope they turn things around. If anyone's looking for a good away fixture I can fully recommend the Hawthorns, I've had a great time whenever I've been. In other news, Burnley drop two points against United... ...I'll get me coat.

Thanks for everyone's help. In the end I bit the bullet and ordered this fellow from Penzora: This is the first time I've ordered a custom figure so have no idea how it compares to others. If I'm honest I don't rate the quality of the torso or the legs very much, but the head is exactly what I'm after since it gives me the flexibilty to use it with different characters. The printing on the head seems to be quite good, better than on the body at least, so although its quite an expensive way to get what I want I'm quite happy with it.

Great build! The internal and external parts are both really excellent.

Thanks TheLegoDr. Go for it, trying to work it out is actually really fun, even if there's quite a lot of trial and error. No worries! Thanks very much BartSimpson! It's supposed to be a mosaic or fresco rather than a window though.

Thanks bery much Flieger. I did toy with the idea of a Phrygian Cap and I did buy a gnome cap for that purpose. I also experimented with some different coloured body parts. However, when I put it all together with the bull and the mural etc, it just didn't look right to me and the contrast between a white statue and the coloured mural just looked better. So in the end I took the decision to remove it, sacrificing a bit of accuracy for aesthetics. I appreciate that this is really just a matter of personal taste! Thanks very much, Manx!

Thanks very much Flobnomdob. Thanks TheBear. These mosaics fit pretty snugly into their frames so they stay in using friction alone. It does pay to be a bit careful with them though as they will come out if knocked about.

[ Thanks mccoyed, it took ages! Thanks MontyPython, that's really kind of you.

Thanks very much, IenjoyLego89. Thanks, Steph 104th. it was great fun putting it together! Thanks Black Numenorean', I love it too!

Balotelli's going for £10.0 on FFL at the moment, which seems a bit high to me given that more reliable strikers are priced at only a little more than him, and sometimes a little less. I don't think he'll be a transfer target of mine anytime soon...

Nice! Gritstone is great stuff. I'm in Mid Wales at a point which is pretty much equidistant between Pembroke, Gower and Snowdonia, which means I have a remarkable variety of rocks to climb on. At the moment I'm supposed to be helping write the forthcoming Climbers' Club guidebook to Mid Wales, which to be honest I've been a bit slack on. Anyway - climb on!
-
Hey Boulderer, whereabouts do you climb? I've done quite a bit of climbing, though the last three years have been a bit poor on account of doing an MA while working full time. I'm now trying to get back to it on regular basis again, though motivation is proving a bit hard to find now I'm no longer as strong or as bold as I used to be...

Thanks very much Trunkbass. You could make a great little vignette with 5 legionnaires. Just get yourself a Roman Commander and you’ll have a neat little detachment to play with. Thanks Behemoth! Thanks for your comment Mutant Orc, I’m glad you like the little details as I tried to get them to be as authentic as possible. Thank you very much adventurer1. These are the first mosaics I’ve ever made, so I’m glad you like them. Thanks frumpy! Thanks very much ManInATopHat. It is meant to be a mosaic or fresco. Thanks very much robuko!

This is my latest MOC based around life on Hadrian's Wall that I'd like to share with you. Evidence for the worship of the Roman god Mithras begins to appear in the 1st century AD and disappears sometime in the 4th century. The cult of worshiping Mithras is usually thought to be of Persian origin, however since no ancient source preserves the god’s mythology, such an assumption should be treated with caution. Whatever its origins, from at least the 3rd century the cult became popular among members of the military stationed in Britain and as such temples were erected in the forts along Hadrian’s Wall, with a particularly well preserved example being located at Carrawburgh. All temples featured a representation, be it in relief, statue or fresco, of Mithras killing a bull. This is known today as a "tauroctony", and appears in the same format everywhere, though minor variations do exist. While most temples were built underground, representing the cave in which Mithras slew the bull, this was not possible on Hadrian’s Wall. Temples were therefore constructed in a way that mimicked caves, usually only being lit by torchlight and small openings in the roof. This MOC is roughly based on the temple at Carrawburgh, although I have opted for a far grander tauroctony than was actually present at the site. This is not to take anything from the archaeological remains at Carrawburgh, which still possesses three fine shrines dating from the 3rd century and is well worth visiting. This MOC is my first attempt at an interior of a building, my first go at creating mosaics and my first use of lighting as part of the MOC itself – so incorporating all of these meant it took me a bit longer to build than expected! I also wanted to create a temple that didn’t conform to the classic Greco-Roman style; I feel there are enough really good Lego examples of these already in circulation. Many thanks for viewing and C&C is more than welcome.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I don't think it looked good that he left early either. I think Rodgers is going to have his work cut out with him!
