  1. Any idea when the Summer wave Star Wars minifigures will start to go down in price on Bricklink/Ebay? Everything is ridiculously overpriced at the moment... far more than usual. It definitely wasn't this bad last year.
  2. Not all the Death Troopers wear the pauldrons (or the ammo pouches on their chest) in the movie though. The Hot Toys figure labels the ones that do wear them as Death Trooper Specialists so its possible those ones will remain exclusive to Krennic's Shuttle and the battlepack will include the standard Death Troopers.
  3. Nice to see the U-Wing's side doors are able to close like the Republic Gunship's.
  4. If anyone's looking for the Rebel Combat Frigate with Ahsoka and the Civil War Tanker Truck Takedown sets, they're both now on shelves at Toys R Us. The Ra's Al Ghul set is also out at Kmart. There's been a few rumours floating around the Australian Lego Facebook groups that the AT-TE and TIE Advanced/A-Wing set will be September releases. Guess we'll find out over the next couple weeks.
  5. His databank on the official website includes his TPM cameo under his appearances so its definitely canon, but his costume in the Turbo Tank set is clearly based off his appearance in The Clone Wars and not Episode I.
  6. I shudder to think what the Bricklink and Ebay prices are going to be for the new minifigures. The ones just for the Summer wave sets are ridiculously overpriced and don't look to be dropping anytime soon.
  7. Another UCS Falcon would be nice to have eventually, but I wouldn't want one so soon after we've already had rehashes of the Snowspeeder, Death Star and Hoth base. I prefer each year limited the two UCS sets to one remake and one thats never been made before.
  8. Han's regular costume wasn't seen in any of the set pics for 10188 either so I wouldn't count him out just yet. The Interrogator Droid is definitely included though. There's a picture of it in the prison cell on the back of the box.
  9. Disapointing we're getting another hood again. We've gotten so many new hair molds for the other characters, its a shame that we still can't get one for Obi-Wan after almost 20 years. I'm fine with the braid staying printed but it would be nice if the rest of his hairstyle actually resembled the film for once.
  10. The new Death Star Droid is awesome! Looks so much creepier with the RA-7 head than the last version did. R3-M3 looks pretty nice too. Bit surprised Palpatine's throne is the same as before. Would've thought they'd go with the new design from the Final Duel set. It does use the new window piece though. I like that despite the Imperial Navy Officer is wearing the same uniform as the Death Star Troopers, only he comes with the rank insignia. Just a nice small detail. Hopefully these new Death Star Troopers find their way into next year's Advent Calender like the Bespin Guard recently did. Leia and Tarkin are still my favourites of the new minifigures though. Both look perfect now.
  11. Didn't someone else claim Obi-Wan was coming with Finn's hairpiece?
  12. Again after the Winter Village Toy Shop, this set is exactly what I was expecting. More detailed minifigures, a couple new parts and building techniques - but the majority of the set being identical to before. Shame Luke's hairpiece is still tan and the Stormtroopers are still using the black hips. Was hoping both of those would've been updated. Tarkin looks much better than the Rebels version though and I absolutely love the new classic Leia minifigure! Also nice to see the Death Star Troopers are the uniformed versions and not the crewman ones from the Star Destroyer set. Han's new hairpiece looks even better in the new pic too. Fantastic texture detail!
  13. The negativity has definitely been blown out of proportion. The previous Death Star was as perfect as you can get for a playset. Obviously the minifigures are dated now and a few new pieces and building techniques have been introduced over the years but really... what else were you expecting to be changed with the new one? And seriously... can we move past the "Insult on Hoth" moniker already? Its pretty childish seeing grown adults name calling a plastic toy.
  14. Can't say I'm disapointed by the news since I've always suspected the new Death Star was going to be a 10188 re-release with minor updates. Still interested in seeing what differences there are compared to the old set. I'm guessing the Navy Officer is the black uniformed version seen here:
  15. The doors look way too small to be fully closed. It would be nice if they at least slide backwards to give more access to the interior, although closer inspection it looks like the top of the ship might be removable instead.
  16. I actually wouldn't mind if they were similar in style. The first Arkham videogame featured multiple buildings within Arkham Asylum so I wouldn't have a problem displaying the new and the old sets side by side together. Also nice to see Lego will be releasing plenty of new characters next year. Hopefully Lucius Fox, Vicki Vale, Black Mask and Hugo Strange will also be among them.
  17. Added. I can't believe I forgot those two!
  18. I think there's enough characters from either trilogy to pick from for the Lars Homestead. Best case scenario would be if they included a mix of characters from multiple movies like the UCS Death Star did. OT Luke R2-D2 Gold C-3PO Old Owen Old Beru Biggs Darklighter R5-D4 Jawas Holographic Princess Leia microfigure PT Anakin Padme Silver C-3PO Young Owen Young Beru Cliegg Lars ROTS Obi-Wan with Baby Luke
  19. Revising my wishlist. Bit disapointed by the lack of new characters coming out lately mainly focusing on the essential ones that are the biggest holes in my collection. The Phantom Menace Boss Nass C-3PO Naboo Royal Guard Padme Amidala (Theed Battle) Rune Haako Shmi Skywalker Attack of the Clones Captain Typho C-3PO Dexter Jettster Jocusta Nu Padme Amidala (Droid Factory) Taun We and Lama Su The Clone Wars Adi Gallia Bo-Katan Duchess Satine Mother Talzin Nightsister Revenge of the Sith Bail Organa Commander Cody Darth Sidious (Senate Duel) Mas Amedda Padme Amidala (Mustafar) Tion Meddon Rebels Cham Syndulla Eighth Brother and Seventh Sister Inquisitors Rebels versions of Maul, Leia, Lando and Hondo A New Hope Beru Lars Dr. Evazan Garindan General Dodonna Ponda Baba Empire Strikes Back 4-LOM Admiral Ozzel Captain Needa Cloud Car Pilot Luke Skywalker (Medical Frigate) Princess Leia (Bespin Escape) Zuckuss Return of the Jedi Force Ghost Obi-Wan, Anakin and Yoda Imperial Dignitaries Nien Nunb Rest of the Max Rebo Band Tessek Yak Face The Force Awakens Admiral Stratura Bala-Tik Bazine Netal Han Solo (Starkiller Base) General Leia (Resistance Base Gown) Sidon Ithano (Won't include Luke or Snoke since they'll likely be coming in Episodes 8-9) Updated Minifigures Biggs Darklighter Bossk Jedi with CW printing (Aayla Secura, Eeth Koth, Even Piell, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti) Lando Calrissian (Bespin) Luke Skywalker (Bespin and Dagobah) Princess Leia (Bespin) Zam Wesell
  20. I'd love to see more location based sets, especially the UCS kind like the Ewok Village. The ones I really want to see covered are: Cloud City Yavin IV Rebel Base Lars Homestead Mustafar Base Geonosian Arena Theed Palace Jedi Temple On a smaller scale other settings like Yoda's Hut, Maz's Cantina and the D'Qar Resistance Base would be welcome too. I do wish we'd get better remakes though. Was a bit disapointed to see we're getting another Landspeeder and Desert Skiff so soon when there are others in much more need of an upgrade. The main ones I want to see remade most: Bounty Hunter Pursuit Jedi Starfighter Jango Fett's Slave I Imperial TIE Fighter TIE Bomber TIE Interceptor Twin-Pod Cloud Car Blue Jedi Interceptor (preferably with Commander Cody and Tion Meddon )
  21. Sounds like next year is going to be a cheap year for me. I'm really have no interest in characters like Coulson, Detroit Steel, Kamala Khan or Sam Wilson Cap (he will always be Falcon to me) Hopefully the MCU sets will be more exciting.
  22. I think someone previously confirmed the battlepack will include OT Stormtroopers and Death Troopers.
  23. That piece actually looks pretty good on him. One thing that would improve it even more is if they toned down the colour a bit. Dark orange never quite looked right for Obi-Wan. I think the dark flesh colour on the Naboo Pilot's torso would look a bit better.
  24. Do you know if Obi-Wan will be updated with a proper Padawan hairpiece this time? Or is he just the same minifigure as before?
  25. There's no certainty. Again this is only guesswork comparing the placement of the rumoured set numbers with the last Winter wave. But I don't think its that much of a stretch that Thrawn would be included in a fairly cheap set. We still don't know who is coming in the second Rebels set or what its based on. The Seventh Sister and/or Eighth Brother would also be pretty desirable characters and unlike Thrawn would require new molding which would justify the higher price. Will be interesting to see how they pull it off. I imagine it will be pretty similar to the Final Duel set with the shaft, sliding doors for the hanger and possibly the retractable catwalk feature. That plus a play feature for the laser barricades. The only downside to that price range is if it really did only come with 3 minifigures.
