  1. Explain step by step what you do exactly.
  2. Could you provide a screenshot of your LDD? (note that you will probably need an external file/image hosting site to host the image. Provide it as a text link, because it will be almost surely oversized) The problem is strange, because even if you are using the Extended Mode the default colour for bricks is red. Does OpenGL works fine in your video card? Are you using the Extended mode? Or the standard LDD mode? Did you read the LDD manual?
  3. That's interesting, how did you introduced new geometries editing the lxf file only?
  4. I use this simple page. It is indexed in the section index, anyway.
  5. You can use that lamp, but you can't maintain that "vertical", they will follow the curvature of the street. About attaching images and lxf files, you can open a free brickshelf account and direct link the files.
  6. This one could be an example LXF File.
  7. Could you share the lxf of the road and the streetlamps you intend to use?
  8. Note that Superkalle's LDD Manager can examine the lxf file and check if you are using existing bricks or not.
  9. In some cases this problem could be avoided in this way: Select all the parts you want to replace using the proper selection tool (usually the shape selection tool) Move these parts apart from the model so that they results unconnected, but maintaining the relative positions. Replace these parts with the new desired parts Place again the new parts in the model In this way, as the parts are identical, even a different zero point from the replaced part should not be a problem. NOTE: with the bbqqq method there is no need to do that because the new parts will be imported, so they are already disconnected and with the relative positions.
  10. Index updated with informations reported until here.
  11. @Lego Otaku Try to contact them. If you don't receive answer, update the sets as new entries, but inserting credits and a link to the original post. Are the rules not clear about that?
  12. Index updated. 37 Sets has been added to the index (16 alternative, 0 duplicate, 1 incomplete). 13. It resulted to me already updated ad LDD 4.3.6 Maybe you only updated using the new brickset? (1128 -> 1182)
  14. @cmg Thanks! Now vean can restore his entry.
  15. @vean If you can provide me scans of the instructions, for me is good too. Otherwise, inform me when instructions will be available (use the same post above, don't post the set again).
  16. @vean The set 40071 results unreleased and I can't find build instructions on the LEGO site. Could you provide official instructions? @blitzard Hi blitzard, and welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. Your entries are good, but there is a thing you should fix: images are not cropped. Besides, I can't find the links to the lxf files. Could you fix that?
  17. Did you try to use the bike or the motorbike template instead? Maybe the handlebar position is compatible.
  18. A similar problem has been recently discussed here. Take a look there if it can helps.
  19. Even better than. It seems to be well developed and have a good looking graphics. Besides, the software is very small size and standalone. Do you use it? How do it manages connections in full 3d mode? Does the software rely on to the LDraw ecosystem? (EDIT: yes, it uses LDraw parts)
  20. Not bad LDCad, I didn't know about it. The approach seems similar to MLCad, not a fully 3D environment such as LDD or SR3D. Another software to add to the section index.
  21. @Lego Otaku I'm not sure about this set. We can consider the set as official, but there are not official build instructions (the one you linked are cad images made by someone...). For the moment I'll index it, but remember to replace the image because renderings are not allowed (see the rules in the first page).
  22. Is the project thought to connect to a baseplate with studs?
  23. I'd like some improvement in the custom palette mode: If I add to the model parts that are not included in the palette, the new bricks should appear in the palette. I think they should be recognizable (for example with a different colour background) and maybe their count should be negative. A checkbox (or any other "one click" accessible way) to show/hide bricks whose count reached zero. This chance could be very useful to detect parts when the model is almost complete and somehow provide a most realistic use of parts when you built a model. Easily crate a custom palette, for example some menu voices like "create palette from the present scene" or "...from the selected parts" and "add selected parts to existing palette".
  24. Alternate models have to be posted as separate sets. So please edit your post, remove the B model and insert it in a new post. Once you insert a model, the post have not to be edited inserting other models. @Brawl Good work. Did you work with the model before peterski fixed it or with the correct model?
  25. @peca89 Welcome here in the LDD Official Sets topic. Your post is very good, you should only fix the image removing blank/white striped around the subject. Perfect naming for the lxf file! The size of the image is good now, but, as peca89 next to you, you forgot to crop it. The link to the lxf file is still uncorrect. Fix it is of primary importance.
