  1. @Vee Two things. - When you report uncommon sets as this one, provide a link where I can verify the entry. - The image is oversized for such a small set. The 512x size is good for big sets. Thanks!
  2. Could you post the destination of the shortcut that you use in the Windows 8 Start Screen? It seems that LDD is not able to place the right shortcut in the Start Menu. Maybe you can solve the problem simply editing the shortcut.
  3. It would be useful if you provide part's ID or an lxf file with all the parts.
  4. @Stephan Don't forget to report updated files in the "LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report".
  5. Maybe because of the great number of studs? 48x48=2304 studs, with 30 triangular meshes for each one, reach about 70 thousand triangles for studs only.
  6. @Blip But, exactly, where is the problem? Could you make a concrete example of what you was able to do before and that you can't do now? Or it is only a matter of appearance?
  7. Oh, so it was not a "deja-vu" The argument has been discussed previously. Maybe some moderator will merge the old and the new topic.
  8. @marco9999 and all others Now that the new LDD 4.3.8 has been released, it is necessary to specify if the entry has been build with a previous versione of the software. @Vee Your post is perfect now
  9. Finally the autumn update! Few bricks this time, hope something interesting for me! Any volunteer for an hight quality screenshot with the new bricks?
  10. Hi Vee, welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. Your entry is very challenging for a new user, good work! As you can see in the first page, this topic has a bunch of rules to follow when you post e new entry. Your post is not adequately formatted and you should fix it, I suggest you to look at other entries as example. As this is your first entry, I can help you directly editing your post, if you want. You should fix: set's data missing. You should write that as a title, well highlighted. Image is not cropped. I suggest you to use CTRL+K to take a screenshot, this will remove the grid and the image will have a transparent background. You may find interesting this guide on how to make good quality screenshots. Other notes: The forum's attachment function is not much adequate for these kind of entries, you did the right thing using an external file hosting that allows hotlinks (the most common used here is brickshelf, suitable both for images and lxf files). You can compact the issues list using the bbcode list tag (as I did in this post). Is a good habit to add comments at the bottom of the post instead than at the top.
  11. @Stephan The images of 60054 and 60055 are oversized for such a small sets PS: please try to group consecutive entries in a single post (without editing old posts!), this helps me to gather data for the index.
  12. @Stephan I can't, but I'll ask to Superkalle (EDIT: I see you've already recovered it, so I'll not ask to Superkalle). Remember to never add models to existing posts, as I remembered to another user few posts above. If you build more sets in a short period of time, accumulate them and then post them all together.
  13. @Kerilk Thanks. You forgot to report that the Prop Plane is the A model for 8855.
  14. @Kerilk As specified in the topic's rules, please don't add entries to an existing post, but wait to have a bunch of sets ready and post them all together. The risk is that the indexer (me! ) don't notice the addition and the sets will not be indexed.
  15. Did you read the related topic in the Section Index?
  16. Hi Kerilk and welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. Your entry is very good, with a single flaw: you should crop the image. In the meantime I converted it in a text link.
  17. LDD2Powray allow to add custom decorations. If your aim is to create a rendered image, LDD2 PowRay could be a good solution.
  18. @dsoffers You could compare the list imported in BL with the BOM generated with LDD instructions. Detect the difference in the quantities should not stole you much time. PS: If you can share the lxf file with him, that could help Superkalle to detect the problem.
  19. @Yooha About your the technical questions, I leave the word to those who are more experienced than me. About tricks to make renders faster, I can suggest you to read bbqqq trick here. He split the rendering in three lighter "sub-renderings", and then merge them with an Image Editing software that supports Alpha Layers. The result is usualy very close to the complete rendering.
  20. Take a look at this old topic, it could provide some answer to your question.
  21. Hi, Did you read this topic reported in the section index? Probably the problem is due to the preview thumbnails: LDD loads the last accessed models wholly. If you have a small model, try to open LDD double clicking on its lxf file. What is your hardware config? What about your system?
  22. You can open the LXF files with the LEGO Digital Designer (LDD).
  23. Looking at rebrickable website, it appears that build instructions are shared as PDF files. So any software able to open a pdf file should be fine. You should share additional information (about your system and about the file you downloaded) for a more specific help.
  24. @Stephan As the last sets you posted results unreleased, you have to provide a link to the original instructions. PS: links to bricklink and peeron for the set 3868 are wrong. EDIT: I added direct links for the build instructions.
  25. Maybe the lxf format allow to store custom bricks inside the lxfml file. A "for future use" feature that never has been used. bbqqq told he will spoke about that in private with Superkalle, maybe the staff is evaluating if the technique infringes the LDD EULA (as it don't involve the hacking of the LDD software, I hope there are not problems about that).
