  1. Say what now!? You actually got a sneak peak at the UCS B-Wing Cavegod? How does the official UCS model compare to the MOC you posted a few years back? I can't wait to see some pictures, i've been really anticipating this set!
  2. I too placed an order just after midnight and received email confirmation about an hour later. The order has been "in process" ever since. I was getting a little worried that it still hasn't shipped by now, but reading this thread i realize i'm far from the only one in this situation. Well, as long as they make sure i'm getting TC-14 with my order, i don't mind waiting for just a bit longer.
  3. Nice one Anio! You captured the design of both the ship and the fighter very well, and the chrome is just deliciously shiny!
  4. Very recognizable and very cute! The whole scene looks deceptively simple, but i'm guessing it was stil quite a challenge to get all the details right in that scale. Well done!
  5. Impressive... most impressive! Like Legonator before me, i wasn't expecting such an elaborate build when i clicked this topic. And what a treasure it is! You captured the scenes from the movie very well, they are instantly recognizable. And the build itself is very beautifully done and rich of detail. Keep up the good work, this is very inspiring!
  6. You still would've gotten only one promo. It's one per order, no matter how big that order is. I only wish the number of promo's was linked to the amount of money spent, i placed an order for the Imperial Shuttle. Even with the discount it's a bit out of my budget, but the combination of the set and the promo was just too good for me to pass up. The crome protocol droid just looks sooo shiny and lovely, gotta love it
  7. What an interesting topic! I have been a fan of both Lego and the Star Wars movies long before Lego even introduced a Star Wars theme, so i can't say i got into the one because of the other. But i don't think i would have built such an extensive collection of Lego sets if it wasn't for the Star Wars theme. That really took me in and got me hooked.
  8. Just got mine last weekend. The middle section with the cockpit and pylons is quite nice, the new window piece looks a lot better than i expected. But the real gems are the side panels, the designers did a really REALLY good job on those this time! And that is just looking at the model itself, the pretty decent selection of minifigs is a nice bonus! If you are considering to buy this but aren't sure yet, take my advice and go get it. You won't be disappointed!
  9. My jaw just dropped to the floor, this is a stunning model of the ARC-170! I can't say there is one part i like best, because it's all deliciously good. The SNOT-ed wings don't bother me at all. The wings aren't even that thick considering the sheer size of the model, and i doubt that any plated alternative would look more smooth and elegant.
  10. Nice force choke there! Instantly recognisable
  11. Impressive! Though i slightly prefer the militarized version with gun turrets and the white and red colours reversed, your model has been extremely well designed and i would be very tempted to buy this should this ever be released as an official UCS set. My compliments on a job well done!
  12. Loving these latest additions guys! Had a good laugh reading back a bit the other day, but these are just as funny!
  13. The Falcon looks quite good from this angle. I'm seeing lots of interesting detailing, and the mandables turned out very nicely. With the underside done in similar fashion, this would be an awesome model i think. But the A-Wing i like even better, i think you captured the basic shapes of the model very well here!
  14. Leia doesn't look too pleased either. I'm having a good laugh at this scene, it has a lot of humor and is well made too!
  15. I kinda like the idea, this would be the ultimate army builder. Especially when you can get a similar instant-army for other major factions as well. For the right price i'd be very tempted to buy these.
  16. Hate to disagree with you here, but there are still plenty of eagerly awaited sets we haven't seen any pics of yet. I for one would love some pics of the UCS B-Wing, and a sneak peak at the set that features queen Amidala wouldn't be bad as well.
  17. Soooooo... how about a nice review with lots of pics for those of us who can't buy it yet?
  18. That's quite a statement there Brickadeer. LEGO Star Wars has been one of the best selling LEGO themes for over ten years, that's quite a record to beat. But i have no doubt that the LotR theme will be a huge hit, will probably be tempted to buy some myself. Still, i can't wait to get my hands on some of the new SW sets. The X-Wing and TIE-fighter are definately on my must-buy list, and i'd love to see some pics of the UCS B-Wing. (anyone on the inside who can urge TLC to leak some?)
  19. Oh wow, thats a nice one Rook! The only nitpick that i can find is the lack of roundness in the sails, they should form a semi circle when deployed. But the fact that they fold is a great feature and the design of the fighter is just stunning!
  20. Awesome! A nice blend between the mecha, samurai and Vader themes. But the head is without a doubt the best part, as it really brings all the themes together!
  21. Wow, the brick built cockpit window really stands out as one of the most creative parts of this MOC! It really looks way better than the old pre-molded piece that has been used for official TIE models so far. I have to agree with the comments above that some parts could use a bit more work, but you have done a great job so far. So i'm hoping you will continue to refine this great MOC and keep us updated of your progress!
  22. I would certainly buy this! What a great brick-built bantha!
  23. I really like the concept of forward folding wings on your V-Wing, it looks far better than the rotating system on official models! I have some doubts if the hinges you used provide much stability though, did you test this on a real model? Not minding the rainbow colors, your Lady Luck is quite accurate! You might wanna beef up the engines just a little when you rebuild it in proper colors, they seem a bit wider in the pictures i googled. Still, impressive work there!
  24. I was eyeing those too (pun intended)
  25. I hate to agree with you here, but yeah, your miniland scale figures aren't the best models of the calendar. But i absolutely love your renditions of the ships and fighters so far!
