  1. It had been a while since my 33rd review. Let's go into the most anticipated Endgame set in 2019. Disclaimer: Only four infinity stones were provided in this set. I took the other two from 76131. Overview Name: 76144 Avengers Hulk Helicopter Rescue Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Endgame Year: 2019 Pieces: 482 Minifigures: 4 minifigures 1 big fig. Price: £54.99 / $59.99 / 59.99€ Box I bought this from my local Toys'Rus at RM299.90 as the sticker shows here. The scene in the box art sets in 2014 when the Chitauris attack Earth. They are fighting in the sky but I really don't remember any scene like this in the movie. Why is the moon there? Here we have the play feature of the set where you can 'shoot' Hulk out of his carrier and round tile shooters at both sides of the helicopter. Side of the box showing 1:1 Black Widow in Quantum Suit. I thought we already have the exact same one in the other set? Sticker sheet. The golds are quite majestic here and the rotors look nice too (I prefer them printed). Haha. The Build First, let's have a look at the villain's vehicles. Here we got a dragon with wings and teeth and an old ride with a slightly different design from the previous one. They still preserve the trans purple bullets and I like the trans purple panel in front of the laughing Chitauri on the dragon. To my surprise, that glowing green console is a printed piece with alien words on it. I like the tapered design of its tail making it looks very detailed. The wings are also well decorated with those quarter-circle gold parts and that trans purple dish. The Chitauri can sit on the dragon while the other can't. The dragon is really very well designed although it appeared dark dull grey in the movie. This is a comparison between the current design and the old one from 6865. They can still match each other with this dark tan and gold colour scheme! The Helicopter. Nothing special from the front and the back here but the trans orange rotors are very nice here. That Avenger tile is printed and here you can see the tile shooter loaded with three trans orange round tiles inside. The cockpit has enough space to occupy one minifigure with ample arm room. As a Hulk carrier, this Helicopter has a really large hollow space after releasing Hulk into the battlefield. I love the Caution sticker at the side warning you that something dangerous is inside the Helicopter. However, if you don't want to see the hollow space after Hulk left, you can swing the technic arm forward and make that Helicopter smaller and sturdier. I like it better this way. Loaded and unloaded view of the Helicopter from below. The trans orange 2x2 round reverse tile behind the main rotor at the top view picture is the 'button' to push Hulk out from the studs. If I have to choose between LEGO building and LEGO vehicle I will prefer the building but in this case, I am fond of the design of this Helicopter which is way better than other city Helicopters. Tada! The completed build. Trust me. They are gratifying. The Minifigures Newly designed Chitauris. There are two identical ones in this set. The torso print is nice with low cut armour showing the muscles. Head print is not bad with the gold rim helmet but why is it not continuous to the back of the head? Hmm... Comparison with the previous FORGOTTEN exclusive Chitauris. They are heavily printed until the legs although I still couldn't understand the design as the new ones are more movie accurate. Why is she even here? I thought she went to Vormir with Hawkeye? New batons. Not bad but I still don't like her being here. That's the exact same minifigure from 76126 Avengers Ultimate Quinjet. Comparison with previous black widow minifigures. Finally an exclusive big fig. After so many repeated torso and legs of Quantum suits, this one looks very special and nice on a big fig. Nano Gauntlet!!! Read on. I have another picture on that. Different versions of Hulk. Do let us know whether you have this condition in your copy of Hulk. Here we are. The Highlight of the set. NANO GAUNTLET!!! The red glove is very nice and it is PRINTED!!! The main excitement in the set is to collect all the stones and put them in the slots! Now we have left and right-handed infinity gauntlets! Now we are talking. This is my favourite minifigure in the year 2019. Pepper Potts in Rescue suit! As you can see in the back of the torso, this suit is actually Mark 49 specifically designed for Pepper. The little set back here is the enclosed helmet. However, the print on that purple helmet is impeccable! Torso and legs are fully printed with blue and silver on the purple minifigure. The orange hair is also an addition to the minifigure with two alternate facial expressions. The 'backpack' is quite heavy for her where she has to lean forward to stand on her own without any support. They are stickered but I'm not complaining. Favourite minifigure of year 2019. Purple! Oopss I forgot that green and purple stone is not in this set. The minifigures in the set. The pros outweigh the cons here, so I'm happy that I bought this set. Please teach me how to shrink this gauntlet. Now I can snap and own ALL LEGO sets! (Green and Purple stones are from 76131) Review summary Playability: 8/10 - Releasing Hulk, tile shooters and posing the dragon is quite fun for this set. Design / Building Experience: 9/10 - The Helicopter and Dragon are very nicely designed. Minifigures: 9/10 - Pepper's Rescue and that big fig in white is the main attraction here. Pepper saves the points here. Price / Value for money: 10/10 - Absolutely! Overall: 9.25/10 - This is a great set with exclusive Pepper Rescue suit, red nano gauntlet, Hulk in Quantum suit and a nice Helicopter and Dragon. What are you waiting for? Thanks for reading! 2. Here is my review on 76144 Avengers Hulk Helicopter Rescue. Our local retailers have started putting this on shelves. THE GOOD: Rescue minifigure, this is one excellent minifigure. Exclusive hulk although this version only made a very brief appearance in the movie. Stark Gauntlet! Very interesting way to build the helicopter compared to other typical Lego Choppers. THE NOT SO GOOD: Way too overpriced. The other minifigures are not that interesting. I wish they included scarlet witch instead of Black Widow. Leviathan larvae =( The helicopter doesn't look like a helicopter and the propeller doesn't spin smoothly. Not really representing any scenes in the actual movie. Overall, this is a very overpriced set. I bought it purely because I wanted the Rescue minifigure and the stark gauntlet and I was able to get this with 20% off. Having said that, the Resuce minifigure is excellent. The build of the helicopter is surprisingly refreshing even though it doesn't look like a helicopter. Other components in the set to me are just there to justify the price. I will only recommend to collector of MCU version of lego minifigures and only if you can get a discount.
  3. Hi it has been a while since my last review of 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition on 24 January. Endgame will be showing in the cinema this 24th April and I'm very excited for the movie! Let's put on the Quantum Realm suit and go time travel! The Polybag I got this one as a gift from @makoy and it's my precious now. Thank you so much my friend. The bag looks pretty clean with white background like those Quantum suits and the front art features Iron Man Mark 85 and the content of the bag. Here is the two paged instruction of a small build of Iron Man in Quantum suit and Dum-E. As you can see, there's still room for advertisement of other Avengers Endgame LEGO sets at the top right corner of the first page. The Minifigure. Here is the main character of the set featuring Iron Man in Quantum suit. This is the exact same Quantum suit (torso and legs) of the other sets so it is not so 'exclusive' to the set as you can take the helmet and mark 50's Tony Stark head to put on other Quantum suit. Tony's head is also the exact same Mark 50's head. But this will be exclusive when you need to take a group photo of all of them wearing the same suit with different heads. About the suit, despite being so common in this series, it is actually a very clean and nice looking suit with the matt finish of the center part of the torso, Avengers logo and a pinch of reds sprinkled on the torso and legs. Good thing is the legs are also printed makes it look cooler. The Build Dum-E. This is a simple build of Dum-E that assists Tony in his lab. The design of this build is simple yet wonderful. The base is actually resembling its wheels with the use of two black 1x1 round plate. The connector between the arm and the base is kind of 'decorated' by some yellow bricks and connected with the blue technic pin in the middle. The mechanical arm of this build is actually one hinged arm and can only be moved upward and downward. However as it goes nearer to the flame, the articulation improves by the use of this Light Bluish Gray Bar 1L with 1 x 1 Round Plate with Hollow Stud which makes 360 degree rotation of the flame possible. The Light Bluish Gray Bar 1L with Top Stud and 2 Side Studs which connects the flame part also helped in articulation of the mechanical arm. The 'play' feature of this polybag is kind of making Iron Man fly with the help of the Trans-Clear Bar 12L with 1 x 2 Plate End Hollow Studs and 1 x 1 Round Plate End and the Trans-Clear Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Open Stud which is labeled NEW part in Bricklink. I really loved the dish and bar here which can be used to make lots of other things fly and helped a lot in LEGO flight photography! Conclusion This set features the new design of Dum-E which can be easily MOC out and the 'exclusive' Iron Man minifigure. To me it is quite special that the Iron Man here uses the round trans blue tile instead of plate which is quite surprising yet interesting. Other than that it is a quite simple polybag to me. Review SummaryPlayability: 6/10 - Very simple posing features of Dum-E and flying Iron Man.Design / Building Experience: 6/10 - Very simple build.Minifigures: 8/10 - The Quantum suit is actually very nicely designed and printed.Price / Value for money: 8/10 - It is a free promotional item. But it is a priceless gift for me by a very good friend.Overall: 8/10 - A crucial polybag to be collected if you really need a complete Quantum suit Avengers. It can still be replaced by putting iron man head on the other Quantum torso and legs. After some research in bricklink, the NEW Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Open Stud is actually exclusive to this polybag! So it's a worthy polybag after all. Hope you enjoy the review, do share your thoughts in the comments!
  4. Here is my latest review on Avengers Endgame set 70126 Avengers Ultimate Quinjet. THE GOOD: Space to fit minifugres inside the quinjet. Some new design with interesting build. (e.g. the engine) Villain minifigures other than Outriders. THE NOT SO GOOD: Underside is very bland. Some parts of the quinjet feel incomplete. Inaccurate hair piece for Blackwidow and Hawkeye. I think it's lazy to have the exact same torso for Black Widow, I wish they designed a female version with the avengers uniform torso rather than everyone uses the same. It's one of the better set in this wave but I still only recommend to buy this only if you don't have a quinjet before or you desperately need the minifigures. And try get it when there is a discount.
  5. Here is my latest review on Avengers Endgame set: THE GOOD: Iron Man Mk.85 A few interesting ways to build things Orange effect parts Extra Ant-Man micro figure THE NOT SO GOOD: Over priced It feels like a LEGO CITY police station rehashed to be Avengers HQ There is a MAJOR SPOILER in the set. (Which I have skip it in my vid review) Lazy attempt in Thanos BigFig A couple of places feel incomplete Overall, another half baked attempt from Lego in my opinion. Infinity War wave was so much better. Only get this set if you really need it and still I advise you wait for discount or clearance.
  6. Here is my latest video review on Endgame sets, 76125 Iron Man Hall of Armour. THE GOOD: Iron Man suit variants. (Mk.1 is my favourite, very nicely done.) Nice look hall of armour. (Really captures the look as in the movie) Great concept to make it modular. THE NOT SO GOOD: Igor is just bad .... While the hall of armour looks nice and great idea making it modular, the build is very very repetitive. (like 70% of the time is building the same thing) Outriders again ... Price is a bit high. Overall, it's a mixed set in my opinion. Good if you are into collecting all iron man variants but the Igor is really really disappointing. Would prefer they include Pepper in Rescue suit instead of more outriders. The Hall of Armour looks nice and good concept but it's very very repetitive build experience. Given the price, recommend only if you can get a 20% off from RRP or you are Iron Man suits collector. Having said that, it's one of the better ones in this Endgame wave.
  7. Here is my latest review, this time on Captain America: Outriders Attack THE GOOD: The new Helmet Printed Avengers logo 2x2 round piece If you are into Outriders Army Building THE BAD: Way over priced Poor printing on cap's face Motorcycle scale is a bit off and the look is dull Overall, only buy this set if you really have to. Just for cap may be but you might able to just get the helmet piece from brick link. The printing is very disappointing but it is not the first time LEGO did this and the price.... (I wish they did something similar to the iron man vs ultron if they decided to not include more variations of minifigures.) All I can say is, LEGO will do WHAT EVER IT TAKES to get us into it. Some people ignore the temptation... BUT NOT US lol
  8. The emerging of custom and bootlegs minifigures made a lot of us confused in which ironman is actually official LEGO Iron Man. So let's compile this up. There was an idea. To make all LEGO Iron Man to fight Thanos in Infinity War. There are total 18 figures here including hulk buster and the nanofig. 76007: Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack 76006: Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle 76031: The Hulk Buster Smash 76032: The Avengers Quinjet City Chase 76038: Attack on Avengers Tower 76029: Iron Man vs. Ultron 76051: Super Hero Airport Battle They appeared in these sets. 6867-1: Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape 30167-1: Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone 6869-1: Quinjet Aerial Battle 10721-1: Iron Man vs. Loki 76008-1: Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Showdown 76083-1: Beware the Vulture According to bricklink, the torso and legs are the same. Even the head inside also have the same code number. So I assume they are the same iron man. Thanks Bo-Ching Su for asking! There is a very nice comparison by Jay's Brick Blog about these two minifigures and they are more or less the same. 76042-1: The SHIELD Helicarrier 76072-1: Mighty Micros: Iron Man vs. Thanos 76077-1: Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes sh027: Iron Man (Toy Fair 2012 Exclusive) 76048-1: Iron Skull Sub Attack 76049-1: Avenjet Space Mission 5002946-1: Silver Centurion *Added on 3rd April 2019 5005256 2018 Bricktober Marvel Infinity War Minifigures 30452 Iron Man and Dum-E 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown 76131 Avengers Compound Battle Added 76125 Iron Man Hall of Amour for Mark 50.
