WhiteFang posted a topic in Special LEGO ThemesHello everyone, No one knew what this series is going to be like before seeing the official released images in earlier November 2013. There are lots of discussion accompanied with a high level of hype and excitement among the LEGO community, wondering what could this whole new concept is going to be based on? I also believe most of us have seen this earlier and as well as this which focus on the upcoming 'The LEGO Movie' which is slated for global release in 7 February 2014. All of these promotional materials which we can currently relate to, are definitely continue to build the hype and making this complete new series into a totally exciting new dimension which I will be sharing in this Eurobricks review. Before I begin this review in proper, I will like to give my very most sincere thank you and gratitude to The LEGO Group (TLG) for continuing to facilitate and giving me this very exclusive rare opportunity to access to this 'early' insight before many others, so I could have adequate spare time to work, evaluate and review this absolute newly LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series. I will also like to give my utmost thank you to the Eurobricks Staff/LEGO Ambassador, CopMike and my fellow Eurobricks Staffers for being so helpful and supportive to this reviewing endeavour. Lastly, the most important person which I must thank, is my beloved wife, Kim/Belun for being so understanding and supportive throughout this reviewing period! I am truly very glad that I am able to able to continue to share this very special reviewing achievement with everyone once more. I hope I have not disappoint anyone in this review, if so, I will like to offer my humble apologies and I really hope I can continue to meet your expectations for this exclusive reviewing coverage. As the Eurobricks tradition depicts, let's do a formal re-cap for all of the past Eurobricks Collectable Minifigures polls once more. It started with a humble beginning of Series 1 followed by Series 2 in the year 2010 and it continue to spread like wildfire with another three strong waves of minifigures craze in the year 2011, putting Series 3, Series 4 and Series 5 in an excellent harvesting year. In the year 2012, we celebrated with Series 6, Series 7 and recent Series 8. With the beginning of the year 2013, we have the recent Series 9, Series 10 and Series 11. Now, I will like to invite the Eurobricks Community to cast their votes into this complete brand new LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series poll statistics as well. Name: 71004 LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series Theme: LEGO System / Collectable Minifigures / The LEGO Movie Year: 2014 Minifigs: 16 unique minifigures Price for 1 box: USD N.A, GBP N.A, EURO N.A, SGD $294.00 Price for 1 packet: USD 2.99, GBP 1.99, EURO N.A, SGD $4.90 Resources: Brickset, BrickLink An image of an 71004 LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series The LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series come in a very nice strong blue schema for this entire release. Please do not be mistaken with the close relative of the blue colour family line such as the 8684 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 2 colour schema or even the 8805 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5. These two series come with complete different blue shade. Pardon me, I won't be showing all of the previously released of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series for comparison. [Reference 1] [Reference 2] [Reference 3] [Reference 4] What could possibly contain within these mysterious sealed packets? This is the superb new LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series group picture The LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series is slated for worldwide release on the 1st December 2013 (unlikely to be correct) or 1st January 2014 (most likely). This complete new series has also taken on a new LEGO Theme name, and it will be regarded as 'The LEGO Minifigures' (MFs) instead of the traditional name known as 'The LEGO Collectable Minifigures' (CMFs). In this case, this will be different and special unlike the usual approach. So, what does this entail for the LEGO minifigures fans? Does this change the playing field? Fortunately, the fundamentals and principles of the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Theme remain to be a force to be reckon with and have found their way into the new LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Movie Series. This entire selling approach serve as an excellent opportunity for the TLG to leverage the success of the CMFs and introduce into an one-off promotion to promote the very own upcoming licensed theme of The LEGO Movie in February 2014. This will certainly go right down into the marking of a significant milestone for the LEGO Minifigures history. So, does this spell the end of the success of the LEGO CMFs? I bet my gut feelings that this entire new marketing outreach approach has opened a new window of opportunity to introduce more variations into this LEGO Theme. It is most likely that the LEGO CMFs is taking a short hiatus and who knows, we may also see its return in the near future, like in 2015, for example. Too bad, I am no TLG fortune teller and only time will tell if my guess is right. Meanwhile, let's focus and see if the LEGO MFs design team has indeed wow us with lots of surprises and treats like they always do for previous CMFs series. Please do note that the naming that I have use for this review are official TLG minifigures naming for LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series. So, there is absolute no doubt or misinterpretation on the naming used. Is this going to be LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 12? Earlier ago, there is an upbeat discussion on whether this LEGO Movie is going to be regarded as LEGO CMFs Series 12 or LEGO Movie CMFs something of that sort. Being LEGO AFOLs, we like to get our facts right and at that point in time, without sufficient clear evidence, things may get a little quite complicated peppered with high tensions from our fellow members and our Eurobricks Staffers had to intervene to calm things down. I will quote myself again in the past discussion: "This upcoming brand new release is to be regarded as "LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series". This is the official naming for this Series. In short, it also meant that this minifigures packaging will be similar in the CMF design which we are familiar with. However, this is not exactly a LEGO CMFs Series 12 in exact but to infer as Series 12 shadow. This is not related to any of the LEGO CMFs Series 1 to 11 concept which I believe will take a short break and taking on another new perspective to present and market other LEGO Minifigures Theme. In this case, this is all about the upcoming LEGO movie. Am I making any sense?" In short, this is not exactly the LEGO CMFs Series 12 which we are looking forward to, but instead you get a surprising twist to treat this new release as the LEGO MFs - The LEGO Movie. This is just to clarify the pending matter and to help one another. No pointing of fingers of who claiming the rights of credit will be allow. We are an educated community, so let's just refrain and play well with one another. Front view comparison with the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series packet and together with all available LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 1 to 11 packets Now, let's put the LEGO MFs - The LEGO Movie Series packet, along with the rest of the released LEGO CMFs Series. You could see the distinct differences from one another especially on the top right hand corner where it now only state '16 to collect' instead of the series number. The rest of the packaging location is standardised with one another, except for the new placement of the LEGO Movie logo instead of using minifigures. Nonetheless, it is very impressive to see so many of these unique packets being arranged together. It is a pity that I did not include the Team GB Olympics Minifigures packaging in this picture. It will definitely make this showcase look much complete. Take a closer look at these. This is the front view of the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series packet, while this shows the back view of it. Last but not least, this is an image that shows the back view comparison for all of these packets. I am going to repeat this very 'same' golden rule, likewise in all of my previous reviews. If you are intending to narrow the precious and hard-to-find minifigures that you are bending to collect, please continue to hone the touch and feel method. It is an useful skill set to acquire and locate the minifigures that you want without wasting additional money to randomly acquire them especially when you are intending to buy large quantities. Your sole mission is to memorise and remember the minifigures assortments for each of the specialised designs. Isolate and identify the most unique accessory or accessories that appeared for the particular minifigure. From there, eliminate the torso, head and legs away and feel for other parts. The only disadvantage of this method is much idle time will be most likely wasted if the minifigures that you are seeking for does not exist in the box or ending up having sore numb thumbs after feeling. However, I personally feel that this approach is the most practical that works the best for me than any other uncommon approaches. Front view of the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series promotional poster Back view of the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series promotional poster 1) The destructive Calamity Drone This destructive Calamity Drone is the first listed minifigure in this LEGO Movie Series. She is a cyborg robot and certainly work for the evil President Business. Judging from her appearance, she seem to come from the Wild Wild West settings and I have absolute no idea on how this Calamity Drone will relate in this movie. Perhaps, she is being deployed to catch the main characters, Emmet and Wyldstyle. If you just look her from behind, you may actually assume that she is a damsel but whereas it is not entirely true. I also wonder if there is any strong association with the real Calamity Jane in the late 1800s or just a mere coincidence. Parts assortment The parts assortment is decent which include the brown musket as a choice of weapon. I am much pretty fond of her new hairstyle design, where the red hair accessory cap can be detached from the hairpiece. It is well positioned from the top and it is able to show a forward slant appearance. You can admire her gracious wild west outfit from her side view. However, you can see the true colours of her robotic skeletal from her clear front and back which clearly show her non-human nature. Watch out for my firearm Do I look fine to you? Bring it on... 2) The ruthless President Business President Business is the main antagonist in the LEGO Movie. I also understand that he is also known as Lord Business, presented in his other evil originator form. In normal circumstances, President Business will be wearing in his usual brick brown hairstyle and smart grey suit. President Business is the Chief Executive Officer of many global businesses, and one of which is the LEGO Octan Fuel company. As his other alter-ego, he is bending to dominate the world through his robotic cyborg army. Parts assortment The parts assortment is quite average even though I must admit that I am pretty fond of the red Octan printed mug. President Business comes with dual emotional mode and one of which showcase his anger. You can view his grey suit outfit in detail from the side view and back view. One of the interesting feature is President Business's brick brown hairstyle which is very unique and different from traditional design. My Octan Sales are not doing well... Find the culprit and bring him to me 3) The imaginative Hard Hat Emmet Let's welcome the ever jovial, happy and stress-free Emmet, the main protagonist of the LEGO Movie who will be going up against President Business to stop his plans from dominating the world. Emmet is foreseen to be or believed to be the saviour of the LEGO Universe to become the most extraordinary Master Builder, where in fact he is just an ordinary looking LEGO Town citizen that got himself involved in a bigger adventure of his lifetime and also to meet his dream girl through this quest. Also not to mention that, at any glance, you will most likely remember his name as "Emmet" since his name tag can be found printed on his left leg. Parts assortment The part assortment is quite average but there are lots of fun in deriving Emmet. I believe the main new feature is Emmet traditional classic red construction helmet which come with a new variation that include his brown hair colour all around his helmet to show his hairline. You can see the clear comparison in this image, followed by taking a closer look from his side view and back view. This printed 1x2 tile is a piece of interest, which illustrate something of an manual or work orders of some sort and I can't help but to think that in Octan, if you failed in your mission, you will feed to the sharks and be happy for it. Geez, I think the LEGO Movie will probably shed some truth in it. Did I not mention that Emmet also come with an extremely happy mood? Everyday I'm shufflin I want my construction of oil refinery finished! Why are you so happy everyday? Another busy day at work 4) The charming Wild West Wyldstyle "Come with me if you wanna not die.", as quoted by this main lead actress in the LEGO Movie, Wyldstyle donned in her beautiful Wild West outfit. Wyldstyle is also Emmet's love interest but I am not sure if Wyldstyle will reciprocate the love. Her iconic signature hairstyle is pretty nicely done and is unique to her character, which is evidently seen in her Wild West outfit. I wonder what sort of adventures do both share in this Wild West settings. Parts assortment The parts assortment is decent and the nicest thing about this minifigure is the black dress which is suitable for the medieval or pirates themes. You can also see the details from her front which even contain a small skull button at the centre of the neck as well as the dress laces at the back. Her only accessory is the black ornamental fan. Welcome to Wild West Isn't these exhibits cool? I do not fear you Superheroes assembled 5) The determined Abraham Lincoln I don't recall remembering TLG ever using any official representation of any certain real-life characters. In this case, this is certainly and surely one of the first non-fiction historic character, known as Abraham Lincoln appearing in the LEGO Universe. Historic fans of the United States history will definitely like to own a piece of history especially when Abraham Lincoln was once the 16th President of the United States. Furthermore, I am very fond of his famous quote in the upcoming LEGO Movie, "A house divided against itself... would be better than this!" and I felt it might be implying to the abolishment and banned of slavery in the United States. I can't be certain if it hold any true to it, but I thought it might be related in some form. Parts assortment The parts assortment is not too bad, especially the introduction of the printed tile that titled "Four Score and seven years ago...", which refer to the Gettysburg address by Abraham Lincoln that touch on the "Declaration of Independence", written at the start of the American Revolution in 1776. You can view the unparalleled detail of Abraham Lincoln from the side view and back view in LEGO minifigure format. The hairpiece assortment is a combination of his tall black hat and his black beard. It is non-detachable and is make up of a little mild soft ABS hard plastic. You can view the clear difference without his hairpiece on. Do you know my real identity? We came a long way in history Going back into history 6) The caring Mrs. Scratchen-Post This is Mrs. Scratchen-Post and I got absolute no idea of what is her role in the upcoming LEGO Movie. I supposed I describe her as a caring woman, mainly is because for her love of cats, similar to our Series 11 Grandma. I am quite certain she should be playing a fairly important role in order to get herself included into the movie series. Parts assortment The parts assortment is pretty neat especially the inclusion of a new design for the cats. Her grey colour hairstyle is nice on its own and we take this opportunity to compare with the Series 11 Grandma from the side view and back view. Their love of the cats is evidently shown on their torsos which will make a sweet treat for cat lovers identifiers. Swap with one another Blind date Who are you? 7) The nasty Scribble-Face Bad Cop The nasty Scribble-Face Bad Cop is employed not for serving justice but solely following the orders of President Business. He is also the right-hand henchman of President Business and is hunting Emmet and Wyldstyle in this wild goose chase, hoping to arrest either one of them. He has a good side and a bad side personality. In this case, this minifigure design does not show any good side of him, but instead you will notice his appearance being scribbled by hand-drawn sketches right on his face. I really wonder what is the main cause of it and I will expect the movie to explain the outcome. Parts assortment The parts assortment is decent and it include a handcuff in this packet. More importantly, I am particularly fond of this printed tile which feature the usage of a LEGO Smartphone. It contains numerous applications at the main page and one point of interest is the Octan app and the rest of the apps aren't too hard to guess either. You can view his smart black appearance of this injustice cop from his side view and back view. The minifigure design is versatile and can be easily applied and transformed into a generic LEGO Police Officer with his cool sunshades and unfriendly face. HELP ME... Law Enforcers On assignment 8) The poetic William Shakespeare As I have mentioned earlier on the Abraham Lincoln minifigure, this is the next second non-fiction historic character and it is none other than the poetic William Shakespeare. He is a well respected and renowned poet and playwright of the 16th century. His accomplishment include works of Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and many more. It is truly surprising to see this real life character coming to assume as a LEGO minifigure and it is a sweet treat for literature and arts enthusiasts and can be matched together with the Series 8 Actor. Parts assortment The parts assortment is not too bad as it include a quill and a 2x2 printed tile which feature an interesting quote "To build or not to build", which is very nice to note for LEGO fans like ourselves to contemplate whether if we should go ahead to build or not to build a LEGO set. This is very delightful surprise and I came out with my own rendition of "To brick or not to brick", in the earlier LEGO CMFs Series 8 review. The original quote is from Hamlet and is infer as "To be or not to be". The hairpiece is nicely done which reflect the close resemblance of the real life William Shakespeare. You can view the close details from his back view. Personally, this minifigure can also be used in other historic settings as well. You are part of my creation? Let me tell you a story and it all begins with... 9) The strong Gail the Construction Worker Although I am not very sure who the character, Gail is all about in the LEGO Movie but she is the first female LEGO Construction Worker ever created. In the past, it is proven that the LEGO Construction industry is a male dominating environment until she comes about to show us that females can also equally handle this tough construction job. Judging from her rugged appearance, Gail is no frail damsel in distress. You can probably guess that Gail is capable as well as her male counterparts. Parts assortment The parts assortment is average and the drill equipment is something which we have seen before. However, the nicest thing about Gail, is focusing more on her traditional red construction helmet which encompass her long brown tied hair at the back. It is non-detachable and the details can be spotted from the side view and back view. The back view comparison of the highly visible safety vests for Gail and Emmet are of two different printed designs. Working colleagues Lots of drilling down here 10) The hardworking Larry the Barista Let me introduce the famous LEGO Barista, Larry. He may look kind of dull and lethargic but he brew great coffee that will just perk you up in office. Larry seem to be quite popular among the LEGO fans as I understand that his expertise is require in many town areas for his great coffee brewing skills. As of now, you will probably recall from the movie trailer, seeing Larry charging Emmet for $37 LEGO Dollars for a cup of takeaway hot drink. Oh, he can be easily identified as "Larry" especially when his name tag is printed on his right hand side of the apron. Parts assortment The parts assortment is good and most of us will likely aim to acquire the printed takeaway drink for our minifigures to hold onto. It's awesome to know that the drink can be held by the minifigure. Larry's hairstyle is in dark brown colour and I am also fond of his styling. You can view the outline of his hairstyle from the back. I will surely be using his hairstyle for my other male Townies for different variations. What is your order? Hot cups of cuppa 11) The scheming Velma Staplebot This Velma Staplebot is a very scheming robotic cyborg which I believe the one who has engineered the cryptic world domination plan for President Business on this Super Secret Plan: Taco Tuesday. When I first saw her picture, I find this minifigure design to be very familiar to another character and true enough, it might just be referring to Velma Dinkley, a cartoon character from Scooby Doo. When I discovered this, I realised this is actually an interesting fact to behold. Perhaps, it's too much of a coincidence but Velma Dinkley and Velma Staplebot could just be a reincarnation of herself since she is regarded as a highly intellectual individual with science as her specialisation. I really wonder what kind of diabolical plan will they come out with. Parts assortment The parts assortment is not too bad especially taking into account of her overall minifigure design and the 2x2 printed tile featuring the clipboard mentioning the Super Secret Plan: Taco Tuesday. Her iconic new hairpiece is something which I am very fond of. It is retro looking and you can admire more of it from the side view and back view. A change of appearance The full hunt begins My evil minions Carry out the 'Super Secret Plan' 12) The excited Taco Tuesday Guy Without having an opportunity to watch the movie first, it is very hard to infer or guess if the Taco Tuesday Guy is truly innocent which is being 'used' by President Business or Velma Staplebot or at the same time, thinking if he also knowingly participate in this elaborate set up. Some of us are happy to see the return of this fellow especially for those who have missed it earlier in LEGO CMFs Series 2. It never hurts to get a similar counterpart for our Series 2, Mariachi, so it is nice to see a new re-hash of this guy. Parts assortment The parts assortment is great, especially when we see a new sombrero and poncho designs and you can see them altogether in here. You can see some of the details from the back view. The detailed printed Taco Dish where you can place 1x1 yellow flat tile to represent as a form of cheese tacos, is truly nicely done up. Boss, all ready Taco Tuesday Fiesta Taco Tuesday 13) The unpredictable ’Where are my pants?’ Guy Come on everyone! Let's search for his 'pants'. Oh great, I hope this is not some sort of publicity stunt by President Business or even probably a reality show by this infamous ’Where are my pants?’ Guy. Apparently, he seems to be losing his white pants all of the time. I wonder why he can't keep it on. We will leave it to find more details in the upcoming LEGO movie, hoping it will shed some light onto this matter, because it is very hilarious and weird to see TLG coming such a strange conceptualised design. Parts assortment The parts assortment is average and the best thing about this entire concept, is the addition of a minifigure leg. This ’Where are my pants?’ Guy is the first minifigure ever that comes with two pairs of legs. Indeed, it is strange but pretty useful for fans who are searching to stock up white leg pieces for minifigure customisation purpose. I also find the torso design to be quite refreshing with the Hawaiian fitting and it add some colour vibrant into the background as well. Unfortunately, there is no back printing for the torso. I am wearing my pants now Howdy everyone Say 'cheese' My other twin brother Finally found my pants! 14) The dangerous Wiley Fusebot I have absolute no idea of how Wiley Fusebot come about, and the closest that I could guess is Wile E. Coyote cartoon character. It might be close but this is just a rough guess, since the other two minifigures designs are somehow related to something else that we are familiar with. Wiley Fusebot is a robotic cyborg like the rest and he appear to specialise in explosives and pyrotechnics. Still, he make a fine addition in the outback settings or hunter of some sort. This make probable sense since he might just be hunting Emmet and Wyldstyle. Parts assortment The parts assortment is very good especially the inclusion of the revolver and dynamite. I like his head piece very much and the amount of details is shown clearly at the side view and back view which include back printing. You can see the amount of details present in this minifigure design. A refreshing look Are you a zombie? I have explosives with me 15) The cute Panda Guy This little fellow is widely regarded as the cute Panda Guy and is now officially to be my most favourite minifigure in this series. First of all, this is a panda in minifigure scale and it is too cute to resist. I am very curious to find out what kind of hopefully angelic role that the panda guy will act in the LEGO Movie. For now, let's welcome the sixth furry outfit in the LEGO Universe. Parts assortment The parts assortment is good and my favourite part is the Panda soft toy. At first, I am wondering if this panda guy will be merely filled up as a real panda sizing instead of a minifigure fitting in there. True enough, you can see the hardworking panda guy ready to don his panda suit. Just look at his panda adorable eyes, and the sheer amount of pandy details from the side view and back view including the zip presence. Uniting them together The furry animals Latest city news highlights My favourite animal character 16) The beautiful Marsha Queen of the Mermaids Hurrah, for LEGO Mermaid lovers. Yes, we are getting a new mermaid variation. The last time we had one was back in Series 9, Mermaid. Apparently, this mermaid is regarded as Marsha, Queen of the Mermaids, which mean she is one of the highest ranking individual, along with Series 7, Ocean King that control the seas creatures in their underwater empire. It is really very nice to see some different LEGO Mermaid designs in their original form. Parts assortment The parts assortment is pretty good. The LEGO mermaid design is done in an excellent manner especially on the front and the side as well. It is also good to see a pink gem and white calm which both are useful accessories for using in other building purpose. Her hairstyle contain a purple starfish print to increase the level of details. Look at what I have found Underwater Royal Kingdom Members This party is getting crowded General Statistics for 71004 LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series Below is the combination which I have received from my box, 2 Calamity Drones 6 President Business(s) 6 Hard Hat Emmet(s) 4 Wild West Wyldstyle(s) 4 Abraham Lincoln(s) 2 Mrs. Scratchen-Post(s) 6 Scribble-Face Bad Cops 2 William Shakespeare(s) 2 Gail the Construction Worker(s) 4 Larry the Barista(s) 2 Velma Staplebot(s) 4 Taco Tuesday Guys 4 ’Where are my pants?’ Guys 4 Wiley Fusebot(s) 6 Panda Guys 2 Marsha Queen of the Mermaids Based on the above distribution, I have managed to achieve only two full complete sets of 16 one-of-a kind minifigures each. It means I will have 28 remaining random spares left. Read down to find out what are the remaining spares I have. My remaining spares 0 Calamity Drones 4 President Business(s) 4 Hard Hat Emmet(s) 2 Wild West Wyldstyle(s) 2 Abraham Lincoln(s) 0 Mrs. Scratchen-Post(s) 4 Scribble-Face Bad Cops 0 William Shakespeare(s) 0 Gail the Construction Worker(s) 2 Larry the Barista(s) 0 Velma Staplebot(s) 2 Taco Tuesday Guys 2 ’Where are my pants?’ Guys 2 Wiley Fusebot(s) 4 Panda Guys 0 Marsha Queen of the Mermaids Data Analysis Based on the complete new data which I have complied, I have indicated my basic analysis based on my own take. Buying one full complete MISB box will allow you to achieve two maximum complete unique sets. I believe this is the new distribution which is being considered for a full box of 30 since TLG is intending to market the LEGO CMFs series with effect of the not quite recent LEGO CMFs Series 9 to be sold in a box of 30 and 60 to market and reach out to new and different group of consumers. Therefore, if you are buying a box of 30, you will definitely be given a full complete set, while a box of 60 will certainly give you two complete sets. This is probably for the first time ever in the LEGO Minifigures Collectable history that there is no specific army building minifigures unlike previous LEGO CMFs Series. All of these current 16 minifigures designs are mostly specific characters tied into the upcoming LEGO Movie. The main lead actors and actress such as Emmet, Wyldstyle, President Business, Abraham Lincoln and William Shakespeare are such good examples, where you don't need an army of it. In addition, other characters are pretty quite generic and largely revolved around the LEGO City settings and the closest army building minifigure and yet generic looking is probably the Scribble-Face Bad Cop. With the constant release of LEGO Police in the LEGO City Theme, I don't really think the Scribble-Face Bad Cop will be hardly sought for especially when there are six of the same designs present in a sealed box. Other minifigures designs such as the Panda will be also well looked out for and it is really great to know that he is also in the six of the same design distribution, while Larry the Barista, Abraham Lincoln and some others are in the four of the same design distribution which will not cause a huge panic to locate it. I foresee that the Marsha Queen of the Mermaids will be one of the hardest to locate especially since this design is in the two of the same design distribution. Overall, I am pretty pleased with the way in how the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series distribution listing. What do you guys think about this round of distribution? Do you share the same sentiments? To conclude and summaries, based on the probability demonstrated by this review, as an example, here are the results, Very High probability 1) President Business(s) 2) Hard Hat Emmet(s) 3) Scribble-Face Bad Cops 4) Panda Guys Total range: 40% (increases by 15% more based on 3 complete sets equation) Each: 10% Medium probability 1) Wild West Wyldstyle(s) 2) Abraham Lincoln(s) 3) Larry the Barista(s) 4) Taco Tuesday Guys 5) 'Where are my pants?’ Guys 6) Wiley Fusebot(s) Total range: 40% (remains the same based on 3 complete sets equation) Each: 6.67% Very Low probability 1) Calamity Drones 2) Mrs. Scratchen-Post(s) 3) William Shakespeare(s) 4) Gail the Construction Worker(s) 5) Velma Staplebot(s) 6) Marsha Queen of the Mermaids Total range: 20% (decreases by 15% less based on 3 complete sets equation) Each 3.33% The LEGO Movie Series will be launching on the 1st December 2013 or 1st January 2014 (worldwide) To conclude, the LEGO Minifigures – The LEGO Movie Series has done a remarkable job to introduce more new minifigures designs into this new minifigure theme, even though it is not directly classified under the LEGO Collectable Minifigures category. This is the very first time all 16 minifigures are being released and grouped under one single selling theme and in this case, it is all about marketing and promoting the upcoming LEGO Movie next year. This release also allow us to see the highest numbers of LEGO female minifigures in a single series. There are actually a total of six female minifigures in The LEGO Movie Series and this clearly show a gradual increase of more female counterparts. Many thanks for the hardwork of the TLG Minifigures Team to carry out much research and design work for these designing concepts. Your dedication has paid off indeed as this series continue to live up to expectations. Now with a total of 192 minifigures released for the entire Series 1 to 11 and the current LEGO Movie Series, not including Mr.Gold which unfortunately I do not have the blessings to own it and the recent acquired Toy Soldier that can only be obtained through The Minifigures Character Encylopedia. I have decided not to take the super big traditional group photo, is mainly largely attributed to the fact that this series is considered as LEGO CMFs Series 12. Therefore, I have reviewed this entirely and reflect it as an individual series under the minifigures umbrella. This entire theme had evolved and transformed to a brand new endless dimension which I strongly believe will continue to marvel all of us with their future releases. With this LEGO Movie Series releasing soon, I am still very unsure and uncertain of the next subsequent series, even though it is rumoured to be of a certain licensed theme. Well, we shall see in the next few months after the launch of the LEGO Movie itself. Meanwhile, let's enjoy these wonderful new minifigures designs. Please note that the The LEGO Movie Series do not contain the placement of LEGO spare parts/accessories. This was practiced since the start of LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3. Summary review Playability: 8/10 (More new LEGO Minifigures integration across many new and existing themes.) Design: 8.5/10 (Good detailed and limited new LEGO minifigures' parts and accessories such as the new take-away cup, hairpieces, new printed tiles, etc.) Price: 8/10 (I believe pricing will remain the same and overall quality has certainly improved.) Overall: 8.2/10 (Another high rating for this new series and it is very much worth buying and continue to collect these new minifigures.) I gave it a "5" based on my Review Score Card.
