Hello guys! I came up with a nice idea, let's see if it starts to fly or not... ;) What I had in mind was to create an awesome Lego-animation trailer about the Thrawn-trilogy (Heir to the Empire) that would be released slightly before the official Episode VII -movie in celebration of the new Star Wars -movie. The thing is that to make it to be awesome, all of the cutscenes should contain only MOCs. Also it should have many frames per second to make a smooth appearance. This apparently sounds very difficult and workful and so it is. Actually there is no one on the Earth I guess that would have all the necessary MOCs for the effort. So what I propose is to make this trailer as a team work. There are many highly skilled builders that have made some fabulous scenes or vehicles of the Thrawn-trilogy already. And of course the ones that could still build one scene in due time, but not all. If enough enthusiastic persons would agree to make this, all it would take would be to animate a very short clip or two by each individual from the scene they have built. You know what they are like in real trailers, something like less than 5 to 10 seconds maximum and cut to the next shot. Of course, there are a couple of key persons that should put here some more effort. - One would be the director (not me) that should have some experience on animating and leading projects. The director should also hold contact to the builders. - Script writer. I can help with this, but in such a big community, maybe here is someone with some professional experience actually? - A semi-professional editor would do good, too, because there should be some vehicles flying around. Then we would need the MOC-builders. Luckily as I said we already have some and I know here are many super talented builders/animators so this shouldn't be impossible. A couple of examples I know: Thrawn's Command Room http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=107447 Hyllyard in Myrkr http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/402528 Cloning Chamber in Mount Tantiss http://www.eurobrick...pic=101238&st=0 Vehicles: X-Wing, Imperial Shuttle, TIE-Interceptor, Speeder Bike, AT-ST, Probe Droid http://www.brickshel...gi?f=543035&n=0 Vehicle: Y-Wing http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=84780 So, what do you think? Do we have the necessary enthusiasm and are there persons for this project in this forum? If there is something you would like to do, make a post beneath and let's see if this can actually work or not... ;D Personally I can help to make contacts with the people. And I can also provide a busy supply of detailed MOC vehicles. Imperial Star Destroyer and AT-AT on the way as next. -Samppu

Hello Animation fans, This is an old animation I made based on the TV series Band of Brothers and Medal of Honor Airborne. I think they turned out OK, but what do you think?

Hi all! I have recently bought a Dino-Attack T-rex for an animation i'm planning on doing in the near future. It's such a beautiful and underrated model that i really want to do it justice onscreen. However, my issue with the model is the articulation; with the legs, arms and head all being on exo-force style ratchet joints. (NOT my image. Belongs to -R8- on Flickr. For demonstration purposes only) Would anyone know a way to mod the creature so that the legs retain their strength but enable smoother motion? I'm considering sanding down the ratchets to a point where there is still friction but no places for the leg to 'snap' into. My only worry with this is that the friction will be lost and the legs will become loose. Any suggestions? They would be much appreciated! Many thanks :)

Hello Eurobricks! My name is Isaac, I am a student living in England and have been playing with lego since I was 4, like many of you, i'm sure! I've been doing animations on Youtube sporadically for a good 6 years now, mostly related to the hit BBC show Doctor Who. However I don't like to feel limited to it. A lot of the lego creations that I share will be made as sets or props, like some train projects i am working on; but I will occasionally enjoy creating ideas for commercial sets. Who doesn't! I'm looking forward to sharing ideas and suggestions with everyone, and I hope I can be a help where I can! All the best, Isaac

Pirates, Mermaids, monsters and adventure in this crazy new video by the Trash Monsters. This video answers the question who would win in a fight between a giant lobster and a band of ruthless pirates. Tell us what you think. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

On his Flickr photostream, lk.lkaz posted several GIF animations of his "running" Lego Technic Kinetic Animal Frame prototype. The 4-second GIF animation shows how it works. A small, continuous 320x240 GIF loop appears below (from his Brickshelf gallery); he has a larger 800x600 continuous GIF loop that you can see here (but is not deeplinked here in the interest of bandwidth). He wrote that he "...tried to make a cheetah-like mech, but many problems remain :( 1. There is a gap of the stroke speed bitween the front and rear legs. 2. The front and rear legs can't cross each other. 3. A static head and a dynamic tail mechanisms are needed." His MOC was "Inspired from Cheetahs on the Edge--Director's Cut by NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC by Andrew ChaseLEGO Knuckle walker KONG by ぴこ(PIKO or PICO) (.mpg) ." He made GIF animation details about the backbone, rear leg, front legs (all below), and gears (above):

This brickfilm animation "LEGO Minecraft - Episode 1: The Forest" is based on the hit game Minecraft from Mojang. This was my one of my first animations and was part of my coursework for college. Steve's adventure begins, collect resources and build a shelter before the Creepers come out at night. Please leave your comments and thoughts down below.

A short animation about the Red River War, featuring mainly the Comanche Indians, buffalo hunters and the US army. The reason why there is text is for speech is because I am really bad at voice acting! Please give feedback so I can improve...
