  1. Well, Scrooge and the nephews are happening for me, no question. Given how beloved Uncle Scrooge comics are all over the world, I was always surprised we didn't see him in wave 1.

[MOC] The Supermobile (or an attempt at it, anyway)

When I get around to version 2 I definitely want to use snot bricks in the back... and I love your suggestion for the arms, thank you so much!

    Decal Wish List

Lego hasn't made enough members of the Legion of Super-Heroes yet... any chance someone could do a Wildfire torso decal? - https://comicvine.gamespot.com/images/1300-480540

  5. I have a deep and unironic affection for the Supermobile, goofy as it is, thanks to owning the Corgi toy as a kid and have wanted to make a Lego version for a while. I've seen several really good ones from other folks through the years, a few of which even included some great step-by-step instructions, but I never had the time or patience to figure out what I was lacking brickwise and put in an order for whatever I still needed. I also wanted to make my own version more than just build someone else's, so a week or two ago I figured I'd sit down and see what I could make with what I had available. I'd love to go back and redesign someday to try and cover all the visible studs, but I'm pretty happy with the results of my first attempt. Here's the side view to start... Front view... Cockpit interior (with that scope that allows him to focus his vision powers...

I tried the Tony Stark hair, but since I'm using a Tony Stark head, it just looked like Tony Stark. Jack's hair could get kinda pompadour-ish at times, though, so I kinda like it. Can't make any of the existing goggle pieces fit around it, though. I've seen some ones from BrickForge that might work out, though.

Stargirl isn't purist (so, you know, ignore that part of the pic), but I figured if the gray market folks were going to make her, then she needed a Jack Knight version of Starman to go with her, and he is 100% purist: Both of their cosmic staffs (staves?) are purist creations, too. Not 100% satisfied with those, but they were the closest I could come to the hooked ends of 'em with the pieces I had available.
  8. Thanks, folks! Using the elf headpiece on GG made me a little nervous because it was the first time I had ever used paint on a Lego piece, but I'm happy with how it came out (and that the guy at the hobby store hooked me up with the perfect paint for the job). And the back Stan Shunpike's torso was unexpectedly perfect for Norman's front! Who knew? And extra thanks for the praise on my son's Finn the Human. He'll be pleased that people enjoyed it.
  9. Some (bad) photos of recent creations: Green Goblin: Carl Sagan: The pie is because of his quote "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe." Also, it was a handy way to cover that Gryffindor crest. Ro-Man (from the movie Robot Monster): My son wanted to get in on this, too, so he made Finn from Adventure Time:

    The Amazing Spider-Man (1977)

I like it! I'd just say to slap an LotR ring on his wrist to represent the one webshooter he wore on the show... it'd be the wrong color, but it would get the point across. Or you could paint it gray/silver, I suppose/

ianmrid, that Strong Guy is amazing. And autorazr, Screwball is great, too. She's one of my favorite characters to come out of Dan Slott's Spider-Man run.

Darkrattyop, those are awesome. Very clever approach to the movie version of Falcon. And wow, Madcap... I forgot all about him! Nice. That Lockjaw is my favorite, though. Fantastic work there.
  14. These continue to be awesome, Thrash. I'm looking forward to stocking up on BW gear at BrickFair New England in a few weeks!

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets

Pretty much, yeah, though 4 figures instead of just 3 would be preferable.
