  1. Purist Superhero Figures

I tried the Tony Stark hair, but since I'm using a Tony Stark head, it just looked like Tony Stark. Jack's hair could get kinda pompadour-ish at times, though, so I kinda like it. Can't make any of the existing goggle pieces fit around it, though. I've seen some ones from BrickForge that might work out, though.
  2. Purist Superhero Figures

Stargirl isn't purist (so, you know, ignore that part of the pic), but I figured if the gray market folks were going to make her, then she needed a Jack Knight version of Starman to go with her, and he is 100% purist: Both of their cosmic staffs (staves?) are purist creations, too. Not 100% satisfied with those, but they were the closest I could come to the hooked ends of 'em with the pieces I had available.
  3. Thanks, folks! Using the elf headpiece on GG made me a little nervous because it was the first time I had ever used paint on a Lego piece, but I'm happy with how it came out (and that the guy at the hobby store hooked me up with the perfect paint for the job). And the back Stan Shunpike's torso was unexpectedly perfect for Norman's front! Who knew? And extra thanks for the praise on my son's Finn the Human. He'll be pleased that people enjoyed it.
  4. Some (bad) photos of recent creations: Green Goblin: Carl Sagan: The pie is because of his quote "If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first create the universe." Also, it was a handy way to cover that Gryffindor crest. Ro-Man (from the movie Robot Monster): My son wanted to get in on this, too, so he made Finn from Adventure Time:
  5. The Amazing Spider-Man (1977)

I like it! I'd just say to slap an LotR ring on his wrist to represent the one webshooter he wore on the show... it'd be the wrong color, but it would get the point across. Or you could paint it gray/silver, I suppose/
  6. [MOD] Modularized Daily Bugle Communications

This? This right here? This is outstanding.
  7. Purist Superhero Figures

ianmrid, that Strong Guy is amazing. And autorazr, Screwball is great, too. She's one of my favorite characters to come out of Dan Slott's Spider-Man run.
  8. Purist Superhero Figures

Darkrattyop, those are awesome. Very clever approach to the movie version of Falcon. And wow, Madcap... I forgot all about him! Nice. That Lockjaw is my favorite, though. Fantastic work there.
  9. These continue to be awesome, Thrash. I'm looking forward to stocking up on BW gear at BrickFair New England in a few weeks!
  10. Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets

Pretty much, yeah, though 4 figures instead of just 3 would be preferable.
  11. Captain America - The Winter Soldier

What torso is that on Winter Soldier, a Death Star gunner or Imperial officer or something? I like it... I did a more comics-based version using a Lone Ranger head (to get the mask) and one of cavalry torsos, but I like yours a lot better. Good work!
  12. The Simpsons 2014 Rumors & Discussion

Not a huge fan of the line as a whole, but I might pick up a few. I was really hoping for Professor Frink and Bumblebee Man, though!
  13. Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets

What I'd love at this point are some small "army builder" sets like they do for Star Wars... a small build, a couple of heroes (preferably ones we don't have lots of in other sets) and a couple of villains, or even just henchmen (more Hydra troops, for instance, or some AIM guys for MODOK). You can do 'em for Avengers, X-Men, the JLA... any sort of team scenario, really.
  14. Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation

Fantastic work! All he needs is a big pile of meats.
  15. Purist Superhero Figures

ianmrid, those are brilliant, especially Hellcat! Patsy's a particular favorite of mine... I may have to crib that design from you as soon as I get another Batgirl cowl/hairpiece to play with!
