    Nexo Knights 2016

First: Thank you Klaus-Dieter for the description! Second: This description really leads me to believe this will be Chima 2.0. Still holding out for pictures before fully condemning this theme though... But it's becoming harder to stay positive with each new bit of information released. I don't get it when people say this. That's like saying: "I HATE movies." Or: "I HATE TV shows." You're saying you hate something that presents every genre. All anime aren't Saturday morning mindlessness like Naruto. Now, if you dislike the manga art-style, then that's another thing I guess.

Perhaps it was a first for Lego, but color coded heroes are by no means a new idea. I know what you mean. I'm mostly hoping for nice, castle friendly prints. Torso, shields and such. If we do get nice castles and buildings instead of vomit vehicles, that's a bonus.

    Bionicle 2016 Sets Discussion

I disagree. The original leaked images of Bionicle's reboot created an extremely high energy atmosphere was really fun. (albeit a bit silly most of the time sometimes) Imagine this subfourm during that time if a rule barring discussion on leaks was in in effect, this place would have been a ghost town. And for what reason? In case they turned out to be fake? As for a rule that would allow sharing of leaks while simultaneously preventing this kind of trolling... Maybe I'm falling short here, but I can't see how that would be at all possible. This isn't something site policy should try to fix IMO. Anyway, the death of Trollchir's leaks means that dark colored shells are a possibility for the Toa again! Is anyone else hoping for this? I've always thought that Dark Red and Earth Blue look so nice.

Happy early birthday CM4Sci! Trans-yellow being abundant was the best thing about Trollchir's fake leaks. Sadly, I'm back to fully expecting trans-blue overuse.

But the purging of the Keetorange was the best part of this "leak."

    Moc: Sword of Blizzard

Very nice! I like the use of the transblue boulder for the pommel. Works really well. Like others have said, I'd make the handle a tad longer though. Still, great work!

I'm with CM4Sci, I'll need proof before I believe such an outlandish claim! Really though, pretty smart Lego.

Any chance of this theme being steampunk is dead. (unfortunately) Just look at the logo. Also, Nekchir has said there is abundant use of transyellow parts, that doesn't sound steampunk-y to me But that doesn't matter. Short of someone writing their name and store address on the catalog before leaking it, how would TLG ever pinpoint which store leaked any pictures? Judging by Nekchir's cautiousness, I assume it is possible, but I just can't think of how. Secret Danish spy technology?

    Bionicle 2016 Sets Discussion

I could have sworn that the first leaks of Bionicle's reboot were stamped "Classified." Those pictures were posted around this site no questions asked. Has something changed or am I remembering something wrong?

    Nexo Knights 2016

Same here. I was hoping for a flying/levitating castle, or moving legs. A castle on wheels doesn't sound nearly as appealing to me. But the golems sound great. Can't wait for pictures to leak!

    Nexo Knights 2016

Hahaha So true. Awesome. Thanks Jagger. A mobile castle done right could be really neat. Note to self: The best way to get info on release dates is to start arguments. Preferably about gender, or possibly religion. Can do... Can do...
  12. Wow, these are popping up already huh? Better check my local Target and Walgreens. The cashier went on your word alone? "Ahem, yes, I believe they are 1$ each..."

Aha. I knew it would be something obvious.

REVIEW: 71010 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 14

Thanks for the great review WhiteFang! Not a huge fan of this series overall. A lot of the figures are well designed, but don't appeal to me personally. My favorites are the Gargoyle, Fly Monster and (surprisingly) Monster Scientist. I'm still undecided on the Plant Monster and Banshee. I consider the Gargoyle to be one of the best minfigs this entire series has produced. These close up pictures only strengthen that view for me. The Fly Monster, while not super useful for my castle oriented world, is just too well designed to pass up. The Monster Scientist really grew on me. When I first saw him I thought he was terrible... Now I actually like his super weird appearance. The only real disappointments for me are Squarefoot and Specter. The former could really benefit from some torso printing, and the later just outright looks bad in my opinion.

Thanks for posting this! Interesting. "Paladum" is probably a play on/combination of paladin and dumb. Or maybe palladium? But what about Mixadel? I can't think anything castle related in that name.
  16. Aw man, I really wanted a Grim Reaper figure for the possibility of a new molded scythe and easily obtained tattered black capes. Oh well. I'm not, uh, invested in gender ratios. So the 4 female thing didn't bother me. I just like neat figures, no matter the chromosomes. And IMO Reaper > Banshee. But as 8BrickMario pointed out, at least the trans-black hair means she might have a unique color scheme. Hopefully she will won't be goofy like the Specter.
  17. I'll take just2good's word over a catalog. That guy is just2infallible. So... that still leaves the question, what/who is that hair made for? What? The Grim Reaper is one of the most common costumes during Halloween for all ages. I trip over plastic scythes every time I go down the costume isle in Walmart. The Grim Reaper wouldn't be a inappropriate choice at all, it would be a fitting and expected choice.
  18. Wow, the Gargoyle is perfect I wouldn't change a single thing. Love it. And I'll take 50 of those wing parts in all different colors please. Zombie Business man is just a rehash of the S1 Zombie... and that's a good thing! Since I missed out on the original, I appreciate not having to pay double digit amounts of cash (I think it was going for 20$ last time I checked?) for a zombie. Skeleton Costume guy/kid is well done too. That Trick or Treat bucket is a great bonus. The Venus Flytrap guy will make for some cool plant monsters once I switch the head out. The vines were a good addition. Bigfoot's head piece looks good, but the unprinted torso makes him look incomplete in my opinion. Too bad. The Specter is a pretty big let down. Apart from the lackluster head printing, he's just a grey blob. The Ninjago ghost wisp in clear is a great piece, and we can never have too many colors of capes, but those are the only things he has going for him when he could have been much more interesting. The Gargoyle is easily the best of the bunch here if you ask me. I'd say it's even among the best figures from the entire CMF theme. I'm hoping that the Grim Reaper is more like the Gargoyle and less like the Specter.

    A quick comment on spam

There is currently a topic on the General Lego Discussion forum describing various sex acts, including some illegal ones, plus a link to a site that would no doubt give you a myriad of viruses. This is the second such topic I've seen since I recently started browsing Eurobricks regularly again. Why don't I see topics like this on, say GameFAQs for example? I don't browse many, but I've never seen this kind of topics on other message boards. Don't misunderstand, I'm not complaining. I am just curious as to why this site is seemingly targeted.

    Scooby-Doo 2015 Rumours & Discussion

I haven't been paying close attention to these sets, so it's new to me. It's a great little cameo.
  21. Oh wow, that would make for a pretty nice figure. I've never thought about having that piece in white.

    A quick comment on spam

The spam advertisement threads that I've seen are always so hilariously garbled that I can't help but have a bit of fun with them before I report them. I didn't know commenting on spam threads was viewed as legitimizing them. I can't quite say that I understand that logic, but I won't do it anymore. (I think I did so just last night)

    RIP Satoru Iwata

I saw the news on GameFAQ's news sidebar. I had to blink and reread the title several times. He was always so funny in the Nintendo Directs, I enjoyed his quirky humor. It's a shock to learn that he has passed. Some of the tributes made by the community damn near bring a tear to my eye. I'm glad there is a topic here, I actually do enjoy GameFAQs, but when things like this happen I take a long break from browsing the boards. So many people just have no respect or reverence for the dead. Or even death itself.

    Yellow or "fleshy"

I initially viewed fleshies as an unnecessary abomination, but nowadays, I think it makes since to have Licensed 'figs be flesh toned. It better captures the likeness of the actor/actress or character. But it does break my heart to see all of those lovely PoTC and LoTR torsos are rendered unusable due to the fleshie stain... You people who are saying that the yellow minifigures are "outdated" or that they "should go" are outright blasphemers though. Death by lethal injection of liquid Mega Bloks for all of you!

    Mixels 2016 Discussion

Maybe it's just because I'm a Castle fan, but I adore Camillot! I wonder if his nose is meant to double as a cannon? I've only used past Mixels for their pieces, but I'm looking forward to this line as actual sets. I love the idea of little sentient castles.
