    MOC: Canal Street

That is awesome!!! I love the flower piece for the focal point on the blue building! The bridge is cool, and the signage is simple but lovely- especially the one above the door to the restaurant! So cool!

    [MOC] Bai Ze

I love the color scheme so much!! I can't tell if they are stickers or prints, but the decals were used so well! The tube pieces used for the horns are so smart, and the shaping for the mane is on pointe. It feels organic! Awesome build!

    Questions for LEGO Engineers

Ooh, that's really cool! How do you make a play feature fun for kids, and how do you balance the amount and type of features you include?

    Questions for MOC Builders

I see what you mean! That is definitely something I need to work on-- oftentimes I end up overdoing or giving up on projects because I think they have to be impressive. Thanks and cheers!

    Questions for MOC Builders

What do you mean by fads? Like, a popular style or subjects? What are some characteristics of fads that are out now? Thank you all so much btw! Super inspiring advice!

    Questions for LEGO Engineers

You guys are the best! Thank you so much!
  7. Hey! I am working on making my building skills more well-rounded, and I want to learn more about the engineering aspect of LEGO. I have some questions for technic MOC builders here. Do you prefer to recreate the actual mechanics of your subject, or come up with your own mechanisms to fit the LEGO system? How much do you like to prioritize aesthetics vs. mechanics? Is it a 50/50 split? How much do you like to integrate system bricks into your builds? How do you decide what subjects to build? How do you approach design challenges? If any of you have experience in real-life mechanical engineering, how is your LEGO approach different than your mechanical approach? What makes you choose technic over system bricks? What are your tips for a mostly system-based builder who wants to learn more about technic? Thanks!

    Questions for MOC Builders

Hey Eurobricks! I want to expand my LEGO design abilities and knowledge so that I can become a well-rounded builder. I am familiar with the fandom side of the AFOL community, but I want to know more about the artistic and engineering sides as well. I have some questions for MOC builders regarding their design processes. What goes through your head when you are designing things? What do you think about or focus on? How do you go about finding the right bricks for specific details? How do you come up with techniques to make complex or organic forms? Do you like to design or sketch first before you build? What are your tips for effective LEGO sketching? When you first started building LEGO as an AFOL, did you prefer to recreate things from real life and media or design things from the ground up? What about now? Do you find that you are more inspired by techniques or ideas? As in, is it more common for you to find a cool technique and make a build around it, or have an idea for a build and come up with techniques to make them work? What advice do you have for someone who is working on developing their building skills? Thanks so much!

    Hey Eurobricks!

I'm decemberssecond1! I have been building with LEGO pretty much all my life! I mostly design buildings, but I want to expand my abilities with a bit of experience in everything. I am keenly interested in the design process and artistry of LEGO. I also like biology, architecture, linguistics, and video games. I speak fluent English and limited French and Danish. I can't wait to connect with you guys!
