Nice video! The top 3 were a given, although the order could shuffle depending on personal preference... i'd put Eldorado first. Big shock for me was seeing Forgotten Island so high, which is not that great of a set IMO. Several candidates (definitely Skull Island) could have topped that one.

Not particularly. I did buy used parts though, so I didn't get much shiny parts... but I only did so because it was cheaper

Thanks everyone!

Haha surely it's not the best, but I'm very fond looking at it :) Thanks!

A while ago I found several bins of my old LEGO at my parents house along with a binder with (often worn) original instructions. It kind of was my reintroduction to LEGO. I took it upon myself to rebuild all my old sets. Along the way I ran into many missing/broken parts, for which I turned to BrickLink. Many BrickLink orders later I've now got most of the sets completed. A few sets are still missing an expensive piece (like the antenna on #6384). There's also massive amounts of yellowing and teethmarks and wear of years of usage, but that's no problem... this is nostalgia all the way.... Anyway, here's the pic: As you can see it's mostly city with some castle/space/pirates thrown in... That Star Wars fighter should not have been in the picture LDO -_-

Video Review- Imperial Trading Post set #6277
KenAdams replied to Captain Pirate Man's topic in LEGO Pirates
I've watched the reviews on the ITP, EF and RIR now... all sets I never had as a child, although I really loved the EF (and still do).... However, going by the video, I don't quite get what people think is so great about the RIR... EF is by far my favorite. -
IMO 2016 is a pretty disappointing years when looking at just City / Modular / Star Wars. Hence why I took the opportunity to collect some stuff I missed out on in previous years instead.

Watched and liked the video. The baseplate hurts my eyes, but it was nice to get a glimpse back on one of my favorite old time pirate sets. I need to pick it up from BrickLink (already go the Black Seas Barracuda to go with it).

Bought the parts for 10182 of Ebay. Only missing MarketStreet 10190 now in the modulars line...

How to tell Light Grey from Light Bluish Grey?
KenAdams replied to Merkurius's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Judging from these pictures, would you be able to tell if this UCS 10030 set is 'old grey' or 'light bluish grey': http://www.ebay.nl/itm/Lego-10030-Star-Wars-Imperial-Star-Destroyer-mit-OVP-/182165227215? The seller claims it's 'light bluish grey', but he has the ring manual which I thought was only shipped with 'old grey'. Hmmzzz.... -
AFOL... The Netherlands... City / Modular / StarWars... happy to be here!

These radical design overhauls are always a case of going one step back to be able to go two steps forward. I'm sure there's tons of stuff missing/bugged/wrong now, but I'm confident they'll be able to sort it in due time. I think we can all agree that a new modern design was long overdue though.

Got a UCS Tie Fighter 75095 from my misses for my birthday.
