  1. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

I'm disappointed that summer will see again the Jungle theme. Why? Because 1. there are still so many, never before in the City theme done subthemes (forest, mountains, Outback, ...) and 2. if Jungle again, I very likely will be only interested in new animals, but for sure there won't be (m)any big new animal moulds. :sadnew:

Hopefully, we'll see some civilian sets in summer, too, like some new shops. And a decent construction site would be nice, too. Plus for years and years I'm hoping for a new (container) harbor.

  2. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

I completely agree with @R0Sch and @Robert8 and many others - for me this series ist a complete disappointment!

I was really looking forward to this series because I thought that we will mainly get updated, but still with older versions fitting minifigures of classical Space themes of the past (meaning before 2000). How much I would have liked to add a different colored Classic Space minifigure (e. g. in blue or black) to the new amazing Galaxy Explorer from last year.

Instead, we mainly get randomly minifigures with crazy looks and the few minifigures based in classical Space themes look so special that you can really not combine them with classic minifigures of the Space theme. :sadnew:

If anyway, I'll try to get the pink Classic Space Baby seperately. But all other minifigures - no, thanks.

  3. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

Again Jungle in the City theme means that we likely will get back some bigger animals (tiger, panther, ...) and only will get some new small animals. Instead, I would have prefered to get Savannah back in order to get new huge animals like giraffe, rhino or zebra. So I fear that 2024 will be a lame year which concerns new (big) animal moulds. :sadnew:

  4. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

I already was sceptical about the last two Space Port Sets inside the City theme and disliked the Stuntz sets to appear under City. But these new Space Port sets for 2024 definately have absolutely nothing to do with a realistic City theme located in the present. They needed to be released under a completely seperate theme since they are Not Space Port but Space sets.

That after years we'll be getting a new boat - and even a sailung boat - is great news for me!

And which concerns Star Wars / Space: (Apart from "Rogue One") Disney drove Star Wars against the wall. So it's really time for Lego to release unlicensed Space sets again - otherswise they would loose Space customers to other brick companies.

  5.

    Hello everybody! :classic:

I thought it would be interesting to know which ten unlicensed Lego sets you want to be re-designed, e. g. as Icons / "Lego Moments" sets. So please share!

    Here are mine:

    And what about yours?

  6. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

Sorry to have to say this, but all in all for me this series ist kinda lame: There's no music based minifigure, no food suit minifigure and no realistic historical minifigure included. Apart from the thousandst version of a new dog we're not getting a single new animal (the goat isn't new). And there is (apart from minifigure pieces) no new moulded accessory.

The only four minifigures which I really like and plan to get are the goatheard, the locomotive guy, the mushroom suit minifigure and the dinosaur suit minifigure.

  7. The new CMF series has a new interpretation of the Bat Lord with the big shield. So it should be no problem to include it in the Majisto GWP, too.

If Lego did include a different faction (e. g. Lion Knights) instead of Dragonmasters, this would be a huge disappointment.

Judging from Brickclicker's video, it seems as if we will get a new interpretation of the workshop, not of the tower. That's a pity because I would have prefered the tower.

  8. Thank you very much for the information! :classic:

I noticed that the dog in the museum holds a bone in his mouth - so it has to be a new animal mould, hasn't it?

I must admit that I'm really disappointed that there is no new (non-dog) exotic animal in the new CMF series; I'm really getting tired of the many different dogs we're getting. :hmpf_bad:

  9. So ist seems you're right. I looked at Bricklink and the Tower and the Workshop have nearly the same number of parts - the only significant difference is that the Tower has a horse, a flag, printed elements and one more minifigure included.

It seems as if a lot of money has to be saved in order to get this set then. 😉

I should have been more specific; I meant that all throwback tie-in GWPs have been remakes (Forestmen's Hideout, Blacktron Cruiser).

    You're right.

But IF it really was a re-design, with two knights and Majisto in it, then it could only be a re-design of Majisto's Tower. I would really like this, but I fear that then either the  minimum order value would be very high (guessing 250 Euros) or the set would be downgraded what we don't want, too. 😕

  11. Thank you very much for the information! 🙂

I personally dislike the set: It looks too blocky and not really Pirate-ish (more Halloween-like with the bat and Fantasy-like with the rock looking like a shark's mouth). So it absolutely doesn't fit regular Pirates sets. That's really a pity since a Pirates GWP going with the new Eldorado Fortress would have been highly requested. 👎

  12. It's great that Lego ist going to release more retro Space sets. 👍

But with the Galaxy Explorer and the Blacktron Cruiser and the rumoured black space ship we only have and get space ships so far. So I really hope that TLG ist going to offer us some ground vehicles, too, and mainly a huge Classic Space base and a Blacktron base, too. Where should all the spacemen live otherswise?!

  13. Thank you very much for the information! 🙂

The daffodiles and roses sound lame to me since we already had some not long ago. 😐

But Cherry Blossons and Flower Pots sound promising. 👍

I guess the Flower Pots have a similar build and size like the Succulents. So the different flower pots should connect, too, but be brown and round and a bit taller.

  14. Thank you very much for the information! 🙂

    I personally would prefer a re-design of set 1906 (instead of 6048).

Til now we always have been thinking of this GWP to be a re-design of a 90s Dragonmasters set with Majisto included. But what if it wasn't? It could - like last year's castle - be a set with references to older sets, but otherswise completely new. E. g. a carriage for Majisto guarded by two Dragonmaster knights. What do you think?

Sounds almost to cheap if it has a lot of animals

No, you only feel like this because Lego has been releasing many way overpriced sets in the last years. 😉

I would expect at least one Castle GWP for next year, so more sets don´t seem unrealistic to me, although I don´t think they will make two bigger ones, but who knows. And we also have the Summer spot free, where all the other retro sets launched and I would assume we will get a new Set there again too - likely a Pirate one, as we get Space and Castle early in the year already.

I completely agree with you. Next to the already known retro sets for next year, I can imagine a re-design of the Caribbean Clipper, plus a Castle GWP. And maybe there could even be a buildable knight minifigure in the Creator 3 in 1 theme then?

Thank you very much for the news! 🙂

It's great to have this set confirmed and have some more details of it. 👍

I hope that it will be released in early 2024, so that we don't have to wait too long til then.

  16. Hello everybody! 🙂

According to brick clicker there will be three Space sets in 2024:

40712 Space GWP releasing in January

10391 Lego Moments: Space (black space ship (maybe Blacktron based) with two minifigs) with 966 pieces) for 100 $ releasing in April

40687 Space GWP releasing in May

I hope that these sets are all references to past, unlicensed Space sets. If so, this would be really nice and 10391 could likely be something similar to 6954 Renegade which was released (back in 1987) in April, too.

    What do you think?

  17. Hello everybody! :classic:

I know that I'm a bit late with this topic. Nevertheless I thought it would be interesting to know which are our TOP 10 Lego sets from 2022. So please share!

  18. I've got mixed feelings about this year's City Center:

Exterior: On the one hand it looks very detailed and nicely designed, on the other hand there are too much different architectual styles for my taste. So I would more have liked two completely seperated big houses, each one with a different (only one) architectual style.

Interior: There are rooms which have some very nice and decent interior (pizza hut, barber's shop, hotel room). But there are also ones, which definately lack interior details and wall decorations and therefore look unfinished and empty (comic store, hotel reception, vet, smartphone store, no wall behind the blogger in his room).

Minifigures and accessory: Imo there are enough minifigures and nice and fitting accessory for them.

Vehicles: On the one hand I welcome it that this set isn't overloaded with vehicles like past city centers had been. But one more vehicle like a taxi or a rickshaw would have been nice for the high price.

All in all, my favourite city center til now still is 60097 City Square.

so, it seems that the family home will be retire by January, having just 6 months run just like the grocery store.

Since it's my favourite 2023 City set (like was the grocery my favourite 2022 City set), this is really a pity.

  19. Thank you very much for the information, @Christmas Jack! :classic:

On the one hand there could never be enough family homes for the residents of Winter Village.

On the other hand the last family home is only two years ago. So for this year I'd have prefered a town hall, chocolate factory, ski lift or new store.

Well, still I'm looking forward to the winter hut.
