I did build my steampunk manor on the floor. At least most of the time. Things tend to get a bit out of hand there though. All the Lego spread out took a lot of floor space in the living room, eventually getting in the way of the guitar-stuff and the gaming consoles. So I think I will try to do my next bigger build on the sofa/coffee table again. It's also more comfortable and you enforce some self-discipline, because you want to eat and sit in that area too

Porsche Pricing & Availability
Littleworlds replied to nerdsforprez's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well, I do think the Porsche is targeted at adults, so they have naturally deeper pockets, goes without saying Though seeing it only from the price-per piece point of view, disregards other factors, and while Lego was releasing premium-priced sets before, the intervals become shorter and shorter. I wonder how long it will take until the market for these sets will be saturated. Contrary to children, where, thanks to demographics, every few years the customer-base almost completely changes, I think the place adult-sets can take is rather limited. Large sets are certainly a joy to assemble and fill you with more pride than just buying a ready-made model - and you get much more fun out of it too. Still I can clearly understand some scepticism towards EUR/$ 200+ price tags and share them to a degree. -
Hi Jarek and welcome from one newbie to the other! Lego is indeed very relaxing and I especially like that it is something manual to do. See you around!

I think this is a very profound observation. I see building with Lego as a very comforting activity. It gives you a lot of agency - something not many feel today, since we don't exactly live in the most simple of times. You can create your own happy worlds and I think that is something people often miss in their real lives.

Should flick fires be discontinued?
Littleworlds replied to Takanuinuva's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I am glad that the flick fire non-missiles are on the retreat. They never worked for me. The most I ever achieved with them was a plopp to the ground. So the new shooter-things are a big improvement. Even when they are oh so very light to release. But usually I simply dont load them, until i really want to use them. Works good for me! -
Thank you! Personally I build my Lego manually to stay away from computers for a change And I just love the feeling of putting a set together, even if it can be a serious torture for the fingernails to separate the parts again!

Absolutely amazing vehicles and worthy applicants for the Lego Ideas line, as I mentioned already at another place Very cool to see you are active here too!

So - hello! I came back to Lego a couple of years ago, after buying a set as a gift and seeing what cool stuff they have in the stores now. Well, what can I say? I got me hooked again Since then I am expending my collection piece by piece (no pun intended!), with no clear preference other than the set just has to say "YES!" to me. "BUY ME!" works too though I love setting up cute and fun scenes with my Lego and take photos of them.. Hence the name littleworlds, that's just what I'm doing ;-) Recently I started a blog https://littleworldslego.wordpress.com where I post these pictures, do reviews and might occasionally rant about things. I am also active at Lego Ideas (guess under which name), yet so far only with (hopefully) productive comments. Anyway, I'm looking forward having good and creative discussions here!

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
Littleworlds replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The new TIE Advanced looks also a bit too small for me compared to last years TIE Advanced prototype. Also the design itself seems more blocky and less sophisticated. I wont say though that is related to the ship being a different design. It isn't really that different to the prototype, or the standard variants. TIE fighters are basically all designed very alike. On the other hand they got the panels look much more accurate, which is a plus. I am certainly considering getting it though - depending if the retail price is ok. -
Raid Zeppelin or Jay's Elemental Dragon?
Littleworlds replied to novareb's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I admit I have no idea about Ninjago, but when I saw the Zeppelin, I just had to get it. The choice of Minifigs is odd, to say the least. But maybe thats just how Ninjago works The ship itself is really lovely and offers a ton of nice details. Yes, I would have preferred a more steampunky version of it too. And certainly without that useless targeting computer behind the steering wheel. That is completely unwanted
