    [COMIC] The Monday Deathmatch Tournament

Brutal, witty, epic and as weird as ever! I'm glad to see another episode. It definitelyshows why it took a bit longer this time. Great work!
  2. The last weeks have been quite a busy blur. I hope to get something together soon though!
  3. I will see what I can do! After all I hail from pirate island

    [COMIC] The Monday Deathmatch Tournament

Outch! I should have known this episode couldn't have ended peacefully. Again amazing technique in every aspect, but aw - that poor astronaut!

    [COMIC] The Monday Deathmatch Tournament

Wow! A whole episode without murder and destruction! At least some betrayal though! Same high standard as always. Keep it up!

    Desert Outpost

I really like these subtle but nevertheless superbly done wall textures. A rough, windswept outpost; properly utilitarian and lived-in. It definitely works. Its not a typical scifi-build, but then again it absolutely works and won't look out of place on Dune or Tattooine. Beautiful!

    Stormholme Castle

This is simply spectacular! Beautifully built with so many lovely details. Spending about a year on a MOC like that doesn't seems exaggerated at all.

(Classic) Space Cruiser 40th Anniversary: Re-Imagined

A well executed new interpretation. My first reaction to seeing them side by side was how much more balanced and sleek your version looks like - and of course so much more detailed, but back in the day a 400 piece set was already really big and expensive! But really, your project shows how far Lego bricks got since.

    TLG acquires Bricklink

My initial reaction to the news was actually quite neutral, if slightly positive. Now reading the concerns people here have, I guess we have to see how this goes. I don't think TLG is going to clamp down on the sellers, but surely the amount of customer-data is a goldmine for them. At least for the AFOL-sector, which I assume is the biggest group on BL. Ah well, wait & see...

    TLG acquires Bricklink

Hmm, these news came really surprising to me - in hindsight, with the recent collaboration in selling that limited run of MOC-sets - it maybe should not surprise us that much. I don't really know what the consequences will be and I'm not going to call this the end of days. After all, bricklink itself is just a platform. A platform of thousands of individual sellers, so the consequences of us as buyers will be probably not negative. And if they are, this would mean an open door for a potential competitor to pop up and has its moment. There are likely more Bricklink-MOC-projects coming up instead. Maybe it will even get as much importance as Ideas.

    [MOC] A french police station

Wow! This looks really quite gorgeous. I also really appreciate that its something different. I think police stations MOCs haven't been done much (which might have to do with the usual 'too-many-police-sets!'^^) and this one is not only very well build but also beautifully detailed and thought out.
  12. Another thing I can think of with pets is that there is the chance of peeing, causing a smell that can be hard to get away again. As for smoking, I bought a batch of Lego (individual pieces, not a whole set) from a bricklink-seller who seems to be a smoker. The bags smelled a bit, the bricks themselves got a quick rince with dishwashing liquid and were completely fine afterwards.

    Political correctness and Lego

Well, your post is just that. Its a what if. Pure conjecture and a perspective on 30 or so years of developement of the Toy purely from the perspective of political correctness, disregarding all the other factors that influence what kids are playing, in the past or today. Actually, it also seems that the sets today are more conflict- and certainly more action-based than in the 80s. From that perspective, old Lego was more 'political correct', whatever that term means in any given situation.

And so many more wing shapes possible to bolt on a TIE cockpit!

    [MOC] Service Station

Reminds me so much of a road trip I did recently. Your service station looks simply spot on, and the interior - absolutely brilliant! So many charming details. Its really bustling with life and ideas. Great work!

    Greek National Highway Road

That looks really good. Nicely diverse and cute designs. I just hope the traffic is lighter in the real-life version (but I'm afraid it isn't!) .

How Should I Display My Lego Collection?

My personal approach for displaying Lego on a shelf is to create a scene, usually a panorama. A row of buildings and in front of that a bit of a street scene. That doesn't takes away terribly much space in depth and can relatively easily rearranged. I'm always reluctant when it comes to putting my collection behind glass. Yes, the dust builds up and it builds up fast, but I like the accessibility. Putting it behind glass feels to me like 'locking it away'. But that comes really down to personal preferences. In your case, I would consider getting taller and using the full width of the space you got and maybe simply putting several levels on top of each other, if the height of your sets allows. You always want to leave a bit of a margin on top of them, so they dont look like squeezed in.

[REVIEW] 10266 Apollo Lander - The Hoax

Such a brilliant, hilarious review! How can it be that I haven't spotted this gem earlier? Excellent photography too. Especially the harsh moon-lighting is done really well!

15 surprised and 1 pink plant...

Very nice! So surreal and bizarre. Seeing MOCs like this from time to time is like a breath of fresh air.

    [MOC] Butterfly Racer

Beautiful shaping! The rather bold colour scheme fits well to it. Like something made for acrobatic displays.

    Medieval Ships

Very good models! It is pretty crazy how long some of these types have been in use!
  24. Excellent use of parts. I really like how you recreated its distinct colour-scheme and the typical Interceptor-shape in such a small scale. Very inventive, very cute build!
