    [Model MOC] T-47 Airspeeder (Snowspeeder)

I plan on building this at some point, it looks fantastic. I was surprised to see such a low piece count on this considering the level of detail.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that there isn't a single component that works for this shape of windshield. That landspeeder is nice, and that's basically how i originally thought of putting together the windshield for the Ghost, interesting to see something similar as an example.

I found some of those 8x8 domes listed in trans-black. It doesn't list any sets that had them in that color, so i messaged a seller who had one and they said it was indeed trans black 8x8, so i'll see how that is when i get it. For this dome, i'll probably build up the base to make it wider, since the actual ship has a white base under the actual glass portion which continues the dome shape. So this area will probably be 10x10 with the added base. I'll have to get it together to see what it really looks like, but i was thinking of some combination of these for the pilots windshield: Three of these tilted and angled to create the right shape (i might remove the hinges): https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 This: https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 With these on each side: https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 Maybe these with some other bits: https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 https://alpha.brickl...lor=13#T=C&C=13 The angles shouldn't be too much of a problem since i'll have plenty of space to work with to create a good skeletal structure. The angled corner sections will probably be where a lot of the structural support will be, since there doesn't seem to be much interior space in those areas, so i can take advantage of that space to get a rigid skeleton.

Those pics are useful. I actually found some images on the same site you linked: https://community.fa...ls-ships/page-2 They give a decent idea of the scale compared to other ships. I'll make my own thread for my build when i get something done. For the turret, i'm planning on using the front dome from the official Ghost set. There's a larger 8x8 dome similar to that which i'll use for the front instead. For the actual pilot's windshield i was planning on either using the windscreen from the Falcon sets, or a combination of some trans black slopes and wedges which can be made to work as a windshield.

Well i found these pictures for the interior: http://colonialchrome.deviantart.com/art/The-Ghost-Exterior-503756450 I'm not sure how accurate they are, but It seems like the main interior space takes up the "core" area, and the sloped corner areas don't have any real interior space in them. I haven't even begun on the design, but i was thinking of making it in a modular way so that the various sections would snap into place with technic pieces, and then reinforced if needed, that way you could take the ship apart and still have access to the interior areas fairly easily without having to completely disassemble it all. The images in the link above aren't to the same scale as what's written on this wiki page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ghost However, it seems fairly accurate compared to what i've seen from the show, plus it makes building it a bit easier, so i'll probably go for the smaller scale instead. That would make the bulk of the ship only 22 inches in length, since a lot of the extra length would be the front windscreen, and the engines at the back, which stick out quite a ways. The total length would be around 30.5 inches if you include the engines and front windscreen. I've done a bit of shopping for some parts to make up the front windscreens and some tires to make the engines out of, as well as a boat load of white pieces for the exterior. I'm having a hard time finding parts to use for the cone areas on the engines between the larger and smaller diameters but was thinking of making them myself since i can easily machine something out of some kind of plastic to work if needed. I've also got the official Ghost on the way and some of the parts from that will go into the MOC, i should have plenty of free parts for everything else.

Does anyone here know if anyone has done or plans to do a mini-fig scale Ghost? I had the crazy idea of doing it myself, but was looking around online to see if anyone had already done so. So far this one seems to be the closest, but not quite mini-fig scale, (although still very nicely done!).
