  1. There is a good chance that if they named the set “Discovery” that it might not even be a fairground set. It might be the return of the Space Shuttle as an officially licensed set. I hope they do it. I missed out on the first Expert set.

    MOC Lego Town sized vehicles

Well done! Reminds me of the old 57' Chevy Convertibles that I saw growing up still being used in some places.
  3. I got your instructions for the first batch of cars back 2 years ago, still have yet to get the parts to make them... I own 2 of the Holiday train sets, so is that enough parts to build most of this expansion? or are these parts that have nothing to do with the exisiting set? (I know the light wheel car is obvious lol)

This is what I am planning to do with it. Gonna have to see the instructions before I change the design more than I have in this render I just finished. The more I look at it, the more I want 2 of them like I felt with the Brick Bank. as of late, I have felt that you need 2 of the modulars anymore to make it feel like a full fledged modular building. Eliminate the gas station and turn that canopy area into a loading/unloading area.

oh come on, ;) I have some ideas for how to do an XL, just looking at the garage I can see it in my head without doing a photoshop. Maybe i'll try to do it in LDD first to come up with a builders plan. It has the potential to be a completely different building if the layout is changed somewhat. Take this set as a challenge, which I personally enjoy when I get 2 sets ever since BrickBank. and I absolutely loved how it turned out, probably my favorite modular I have done because of it.

    10264 Corner Garage

I ran into this issue at Brick Fair Viriginia when I first met a MOCer in person, they looked at me like I was trash when I asked them all these questions on how they did their builds, as in what inspired them and that it inspired me. Long Story short, I came away from the experience upset and angry, like they didn't have any interest or time to talk with someone that wasn't in a LUG. I even showed him some pics of my MOC from my phone, he didn't seem impressed, even though I have received high praise for it being my first steam locomotive moc. then a short year later, when I post my new MOC on the groups page for some thoughts and ideas on how to improve it, they literally destroy it criticizing the very design overall, making me not to want to even show it and they didn't even apologize when other members noticed how they were being too condescending. So maybe that is where I get my disdain for AFOLs. They are stuck up %$&holes all the fumes from the garage killed it lol

oh no, I was hoping to see what your XL might look like :( I had an idea to make mine into a hospital seeing how this design would work. The gas station would be the unloading/loading area and it would of course be twice that size since it would be 2 modulars

no, especially in the US, TV's looked like that in the 1950's, here's an example of an odd shape similar to it.

    10264 Corner Garage

I hated it at first, but after looking at non-official photos and YouTube videos of the actual set (not just photos) I think I like it but not as it is, but as a modifiable design just calling out to be changed into an XL

this too is a plus for me because if I ever want to BL the Town Hall, this will likely decrease the cost

It's a jumper for the 1x1, the 2x2 tile has a hole so it can work with it. all in all, its likely designed to make angles on top of tiles. Edit: Nevermind, I see its 2 badly scaled photos of the same part. The 2x2 is definitely a new piece though, maybe it works with a technic stud now?

exactly! the guy might be studying economics, but apparently doesn't get the difference between quantity and the size of the quantity in the coaster set. Lego mostly charges by weight, not strictly PPP

    10264 Corner Garage

actually it is, if you look closely at the gas pumps, the Octan sign is using a light saber style holder with a stud, but the piece is too small for the 2x2 round tile to fit properly so this is where this new jumper is useful.

One more reason why I would likely get 2 to fix those imperfections. make an XL and maybe change the gas station up or remove it entirely.

    10264 Corner Garage

I know what it has because I have one of the sets. your conclusion it was more expensive because of one unique piece is wrong. like I said before, when special elements such as track, which this set had an abundance of, are included, the price is higher than the average PPP. so you're wrong. The price per pc is around 7cents for the Garage, the prices have been kept low for too long and they suddenly increased it due to inflation they had no choice. A gradual annual increase would have been better suited.

    10264 Corner Garage

This pricing has nothing to do with the rollercoaster... the coaster was justified due to its special track elements, as is with train sets. they are much larger pieces. saying that its everyone's fault for buying the coaster and not forcing Lego to drop the price due to backlash, is a ridiculous statement. pretty hard to not question your sig when it blended in with your statement I was commenting on, do you always say the same thing? "Really?"

it says in some other reviews that this color hasn't been seen since 2005 for this piece

Just found this review of it. Makes me wonder if Lego waited this long so Reviewers had it in hand so they could promote it for them.

    10264 Corner Garage

It is sold out, Brick Bank, like I said, is the only one still in production and likely will end by Dec 31. so no, not 6 at once, 4. the production run for the Brick Bank is to fill the back orders from Cyber Week. It will be long gone before Corner Garage is available.

    10264 Corner Garage

Where are you getting 6 then? Reason I mentioned Ninjago is because of the 2 sets that are connectable, some fans like to call these modulars when they aren't... Detectives Office is retired, its no longer in production Brick Bank is retiring by the end of the year and will be out of production at that time

That pretty much makes it a baseplate... be serious... ditch the gas station and turn it into a doctors office or something

    10264 Corner Garage

That's an interesting note: We kept seeing the price go up each year here in the US. In fact, it was $149.99 USD for GE $159.99 for DO $169.99 for DD $200 for CG

    10264 Corner Garage

the Garage is American... and going by the gas pump mostly, this pretty much confirms that the modulars for the next few years are going to be American style and also the Diner was based on Art Deco styling which is European inspired, so it's not really a good excuse.
