splatman Posted October 25, 2013 Here's a way to keep your LEGO Room warm: That colorful thing on the wall is a radiator.
AmperZand Posted October 25, 2013 That's cool! Or should I say hot?
WaysofSorting Posted October 25, 2013 Where is this from? Did they custom make it or just deco over an old radiator? I'm assuming it's metal or something? Would enjoy hearing more details... Oh, wait. Got it - First announced in 2008, the Brick Radiator by Italian Design company Scirocco... They are indeed modular and evidently efficient (Each stud has its own plumbing and provides additional surface to release heat). Looks like these are available? Maybe only on the secondary market and maybe very expensive, and from what I can see don't look as much like LEGO as above, but rather single plates. Cool find, great dredge up of something I missed back then.
badbob001 Posted October 25, 2013 I thought this thread was going to be about being shun by the spouse or for being banished to the basement or shed.
Front Posted October 25, 2013 It's not a photo of a radiator, it's a rendering of a CAD model scene.
TheLegoDr Posted October 25, 2013 Only $7k... I was going to comment, my LEGO room is in our basement, so it does get quite cold down there. So cold, in fact, that I can't be down there for too long to build/sort. And with winter coming up, I don't know how often I'll be down there. I may need to invest in a space heater, but then that takes away money from more precious LEGO....
