[MOC] Minifig Scale Droideka, aka Destroyer Droid.

The ability for the Droideka to use it's characteristic rolled up position is sadly under appreciated by LEGO. For me that's one of the key features and just as important as an intimidating attack pose. For some reason the developers of the official versions got way too hung up on recreating the three feet and the round shape at the bottom, leaving out almost any other aspect of accuracy all together.

Now I've returned to an old mission of mine. Trying to create the minifig scale Droideka I've always dreamt of.

Please let me know what you think of the result.

More pics and a part list photo at my flickr.

I think this is the single best minifig scaled Destroyer Droid I've seen.

Very nice! The use of the pistols is great :classic:

I guess the binoculars couldn't be folded on the inside.

Awesome droideka! I love that it can transform to "ball mode" and the use of revolvers and handlebar to angle arms and legs  . Indeed the best minifig-scale droideka.

I saw this on Flickr and was quite impressed! I didn't realize you built it so it would roll up. Very nice work! I'm intrigued by the light gray levers in the droid's "face" and how you attached them. Might have to "borrow" that technique.
