Lilsniffs Posted May 5, 2010 Ahem. I believe the best word to use in this situation is "damn."
Big Cam Posted May 5, 2010 Wow good luck with the sale. If you don't mind me asking, why get rid of it all. Most of that stuff looks old (which is a good thing!)
d00dz Posted May 5, 2010 Not as WOW as the 21lb minifigs Im assuming this lot came from them?
Stash2Sixx Posted May 5, 2010 If the lot doesn't go, or you don't hit your minimum, lemme know by PM and I would be interested in some of that, but not all of it. Thanks.
LazerBlade Posted May 5, 2010 I am selling it all becasue my favorite theme is LSW. DId that answer your question Big Cam? And d00dz, I did not buy the 21lbs of figures. Read my last post on that topic. Sure thing Stash2Sixx. I will sure do.
fred67 Posted May 5, 2010 (edited) I would bid if I didn't have a wife and kids to support. Edited May 5, 2010 by fred67
LazerBlade Posted May 5, 2010 I would bid if I didn't have a wife and kids to support. I understand. So, do you all think I started it at a good price? Will it go higher?
fred67 Posted May 5, 2010 I understand. So, do you all think I started it at a good price? Will it go higher? Well, I was fooling around and didn't really look at everything it came with. After further review, without knowing the figures, I'd actually say that's quite a high starting price for an auction... $6 each for a fully equipped figure? I mean, a lot of castle minifigs sell for as little as $2/each on bricklink, depending on the type. Skeletons are practically worthless, IMO... a dime a dozen. Having a lot of horses, capes, and so many extra weapons and armor makes it more worthwhile, but the price doesn't really make me go "wow!" But then I'm a pretty cheap bastard. After looking again at the list and pictures and doing some bricklink looking, I don't think I'd bid more than $400... maybe $450 even if I didn't have the wife and kids. But again... that's me... cheap. I'm no expert, but I wouldn't doubt that someone will think it's a good enough deal... to be able to get so much all at once makes it more worthwhile for some, too. But you have plenty of time left... I don't know how other people ebay, but I generally look at LEGO and sort by time remaining, and seldom look at items with more than a few hours. You may not get bids until the last day, you'll just have to wait and see.
LazerBlade Posted May 6, 2010 (edited) Dude, if you could delete your post. Your hindering my auction. lol Well, I have been buying and selling on ebay, and I sold a lot of 7 castle minifigures and 1 dragon and it sold for $50 (dragon = $15). I am one of those cheap guys too. And I can not buy castle minifigures on EbaY for cheap. They go for to much. So, we will se what is goes for. fred67 Posted May 6, 2010 So, we will se what is goes for. No doubt you'll get a lot more on Ebay than I would pay! Didn't mean to discourage you... I have little doubt you'll successfully sell your lot of castle guys.

You nenver know on EbaY. A friend told me someone sold a frozen snow ball from a year before for alot of money.
Asterios Posted May 6, 2010 well for starters nice lot, but not the biggest on castle minifigs i've bought before, but definately the highest, if your looking to get that much you would have been better on making several smaller lots, people have a tendancy to not bid that much on 100 lot minifigs (last lot I got about a year ago had 120 Castle minifigs and I got it for $350 shipped and these were crusaders, wolfpack and forestmen mostly and lots of weapons and shields and horses, plus a bunch of loose LEGO castle parts), I do wish you luck, but remember this even if the lot doesn't sell you still have to pay eBay their fees (one of the reasons I do not sell there anymore). jamtf Posted May 6, 2010 What exactly do you mean by "minifugres" (see listing title)?
LazerBlade Posted May 8, 2010 Better detailed pictures have been added to action.
Clone OPatra Posted May 9, 2010 That's a nice ambitious auction you've got going there, and I hope you do well with it. Still, I'll have to agree with fred67 that there's nothing in the pictures that makes me go "wow." I suppose if you tallied it all up, saying about $2 per figure, etc. you could get close to $500, but I think you needn't have started it that high. One thing that detracts a little is that the figures are mismatched. Not that mismatched is necessarily a problem, but I think when people see that the value drops in their eyes. Good luck! LazerBlade Posted May 10, 2010 Mismatched? You mean I should put the dragon knights together etc?
The Who Posted May 12, 2010 Still no bids on it yet....
LazerBlade Posted May 12, 2010 Still no bids on it yet.... Splitting it up in different lots would be a better idea. Don't you think?
The Who Posted May 12, 2010 Splitting it up in different lots would be a better idea. Don't you think? For you, it would be.Before you did that, though, I would kind of like to trade for some of those parts.
