Pretty cool, But it would be a better Christmas present if they made shipping cheaper :hmpf_bad:

Wow, the solar sailor is a bit pricey :sceptic: Gwt it on sale I guess..

The priate prices are what I expected  and SW!

Solar sailor looks crap and costs $$$...I'll pass thanks.

Uhh you might not get it on sale if its TRU exclusive! Well maybe $10 to put it back to the RRP :hmpf:

Overall I must say pricing is "ok" but not for the bigger sets :hmpf_bad: BrickBeards bounty = $139!?! I'd rather get Medieval Market it'd be worth my money :hmpf:

I think Shanghai chase is well priced though :sweet: ...Vader's well $45 atleast would've been better

Oh well, I guess the new pirates and stuff will be out earlier then we though? :sweet:

Hoping the Soldiers fort isn't to expensive :sceptic:

Thanks for the heads up svelte! :classic:

This is fantastic news... not for my wallet, but still good news :classic:

That's the spirit!

Come on, we don't have to buy everything at once. It's good to know they are there (and better if they hit the Italian shops soon).

Urg....The BIONICLE prices are horrendous. The new small sets are 50% more expensive than last year ($15 instead of $10) and the larger sets are also $5 more expensive, becoming $25. I seriously hope that's an error, because that is way too expensive.

On the other hand, the BBQ stand impulse is great, and the minifig collection is only $15! The battlepacks where $25 for 4 minifigs, but this is only $15! Definitely getting a couple of these!

What a brilliant day to release new sets! highlights for me (UK prices)

Medieval Market Place £68.50

Brickbear's Bounty £48.95

Soldier's Fort £34.25

Dozer £19.55

Crawler Crane £39.15

Construction Site £58.69

Ashoka's Starfighter £29.35

Count Dooku's Solar Sailor £39.15

AAT £39.15

Darth Vader's Tie Fighter £29.35

Best bit - MMP :cry_happy: (hope the price stays like that)

Best suprise - Solar Sailor

Most improved in 'likely to buy' stakes - AAT

All the prices (with the exception of the Crawler Crane and Construction Site) are much better than I was expecting. Only low point is the lack of Farm, but MMP more than makes up for it!

I was hoping the sales and deals section would have been updated, but not yet (must keep sneaking away to check

Now where did I put my wallet....?

cheers and a wonderful Christmas to you all,

timbutnice

(sorry I haven't posted all the new UK prices, but I've got a large extended family to entertain!)

True - I was looking forward to Farm, but there's enough else around to distract me!

Thanks for the news! I just ordered;

10189 Taj Mahal (Stunning deal!)

10193 Medieval Market Village (I've been holding off the order for this set)

8956 Stone Chopper (I must have a rock monster!)

8886 Power Functions Extension Wire (I know, not very exciting)

But on a negative note, most of the prices are horrid; the Power Miners included. The 10 cent per piece ratio has been ignored, and 20 cents seems the norm. Star Wars is off the scale; Count Dooku’s Solar Sailer $99.99 for 385 pieces? Ahsoka’s Starfighter & Droids $79.99 for 291 pieces? That's crazy talk! Technic is no better; Hauler $114.99 for 575 pieces?

The only good prices seem to be Creator and Racers... and even these are not as good as last year. It's going to be a sale only year for me... :cry_sad:

Might have to see about shipping to someone in Northern Ireland to get UK prices and make use of the pound/euro exchange rate. Irish price for Mediaeval Market Village is €116.50 plus €15 shipping :(

This is truly sad. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that Denmark has gotten the highest prices, with todays exchange rate. And if that was'nt enough, all of the new sets are listed as "not available".

Yes, along with Sweden. :sceptic:

The LEGO prices are far too high. I´m seriously reconsidering opening a web-shop that sells LEGO to 3/4 of the MSRP. And I´ll get any sets I want (with exception of the exclusives) for ´company price´(don´t know what it´s called in English).

Finally some good £ prices.

Seconded.

I was happy to see the majority of Power Miners and Pirates being reasonable.

Star Wars is a bit hurrendous though, but it always has been. *Glaringly looks at V19 Torrent or whatever its called*

I don't think I'd say its worth even the £20 at Argos.

Well, response to my complaint about this pricing is basically that they do indeed set higher prices for markets where they can get away with fleecing people. I'm sick of this from every retailer and company concerning Ireland, now including Lego too. It may seem like such a little concern, this one set, but it's just yet another annoyance.

Was wondering if anyone knows why the Republic Attack Shuttle is not listed on the Australian Shop @ Home site ? I noted its on the US, but says the item is not available in Australia.

It is in the recent 2009 catalogue I received, so I'm wondering if its just a delay in listing.

I didn't have a lot of interest in this set until last night when I watched the Clone Wars episode "Rookies" (yes I'm way behind as I'm watching them in line with the Australian TV release schedule). The shuttle looked pretty good in that episode, same thing happened with the Twlight, didn't like it till I saw the TV series, then I had to get it.

Also I'm curious as to what the price will be, I'm hoping $100 AUD, but am fearing maybe $110 AUD !!

The Attack Shuttle isn't yet available for any non US country. Not all sets do become available all at the same time, sometimes - and there are glitches, like some of the new Pirate sets not being available to Oz even though they are for other non-US countries and all ship from the same European distribution centre.

Basically there are two Lego distribution centre - the North American one which ships to Canada and the US, and the European one which covers the rest of the world. They are often not synced exactly which is why some stuff appears at different times on each site.

I would expect the Shuttle would become available soon, and I would think it would be in stores by the second week of Jan anyway.

I agree that it should be available around the middle of January I think it might be $120 at the most :sceptic: I'm just glad I'm not getting it.

But yea like the Soldiers fort & Brickbeards base set thingy don't show the price and aren't available :sceptic:

*Terminator Accent* "I'm Baack!"

WTF/ I missed a lot over the last week. I've been skiing in the Alps from the 20th of Dec to 27th.

Not many Lego shops up there - all I could find in my resort was the large fire engine (€35!!!) so didn't get that.

I have been keeping a check on Eurobricks surprisingly through my mobile phone, but because the site isn't mobile friendly I've only been able to see the frontpage news items - still, I have noticed some Summer 2009 pics already (mainly Castle and Bionicle)...

EDIT: taken what I've bought out of this thread

I went to my local toy stores today, but none had the new sets. only one with power miner sets, but none with city or SW sets. How long does it take to send it from S@H?
