Thrash Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) To tell you the truth I didn't really plan ahead, I'm just feeling inspired by the lot of you! I'll look it over and get right back to you! I probaly won't be doing LOTS, but I'll pump out something every once in a while!41. Monastary 42. Chandler The Monstary looks good, I'll have a wack at that! What's a chandler? It seems undone, and I could techniqually build the two next to each other, and photograph thewm together. Just need to know what it is ;) Great to have you join, Zepher! A chandler is simply a candle stick maker. EDIT: I just posted my Wine Cellar in the Beta Thread! ISC, since I'm done building for the weekend (finally!), here is the code for my three latest modules: ~Thrash Edited January 11, 2009 by Thrash
Brickthing Posted January 11, 2009 ISC, since I'm done building for the weekend (finally!), here is the code for my three latest modules: Good, I was beginning to worry you'd never stop! Great modules though, I love all the detail in them, like the cat and mouse. Just remember to leave some for everyone else!
darkagent Posted January 11, 2009 Wow, all of Thrash's new modules inspired me to put something together today, the Royal Armory. I'll most the pics in the Beta thread. Thrash, if you could work your Word and thumbnail magic, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. Enjoy darkagent
JimBee Posted January 11, 2009 (edited) EDIT: I just posted my Wine Cellar in the Beta Thread! Thrash, quit it! I build one module after three months of being a participant, and then you have to ruin it by making yours ten times better than mine! Keep up the great work, but just try not to knock everyone out of the competition. By the way, thanks for all of the answers. I'll get to work on the Royal Treasury soon. (Don't make that one too!). As for the contest, I really have no idea on how to do it. I liked the idea that the best modules were voted for in in the respective teams, and then the one(s) with the most votes on each team would face-off. That way, the winner would win without leaving out his/ her team. And the other team... well they would just be SOOL. EDIT: Damn, darkagent! Looks like I have lots of competition, now... Dragonator Posted January 11, 2009 Well, you'll be glad to hear that I am actually doing something on the front gatehouse. Ain't that cool? Anyway, I have a basic floor-plan started (at least, where the outer walls will be), and I'm currently working on a design for the gates. In realtion to the walls, I'm, um, being a little naughty and not following the official design. Don't worry, it'll still fit with all the others. I decided that since it's the front of the castle it should have at least some ornamentation, so I'm doing arches along the walls instead of sloped bricks at the bottom and at the top. Hope that sounds fine to you ISC. I have a thing for arches. So yes, that is all for now. Carry on.

I don't know what ISC's thoughts on the matter will be, but I don't think that it will look out of place at all if the guard house walls are a little fancier than the rest, especially since I happen to like arches too... ~Thrash
Zepher Posted January 11, 2009 Okay final question. Is there a demensions thing? How big should they be? I can't find it, but I'll keep trying. On the other hand, you are incredible Thrash!
JimBee Posted January 11, 2009 There is no royal treasury, silly! There is a royal armory, but darkagent just did it... Yeah, that's what I meant. I generally try not to build ones that people have already done, but I was searching pictures of the various rooms and a beautiful picture of a wine cellar caught my eye, so I just couldn't resist.Whatever you decide to do next I'll try not to do. Nah, I was just kidding. Do whatever you want. Okay final question. Is there a demensions thing? How big should they be? I can't find it, but I'll keep trying. Try the first post. That shows how tall, wide, and long the rooms' walls should be. See the map for your room's dimensions.
Lt. Veers Posted January 11, 2009 I've been reading this, and it sounds kinda intresting. I have a few questions, though. 1. Will the type of room we build be our choice, or will it be pre-chosen? 2. Will the dimensions be our decision, or pre chosen. 3. How does the "competition" thing work?
Zepher Posted January 11, 2009 Okay, thanks Jim. Then one really final question. Would the hallway be built into the 16 times 16, or seperate! I should be able to finish one within the month, though I have another project I want to pound out first!

Will the dimensions be our decision, or pre chosen. 3. How does the "competition" thing work? 1. You can build any of the items on the list. It doesn't matter if they've been done or not yet. 2. The dimensions of the room are pre-chosen. See the list and maps in the first post of this thread. 3. It is my understanding that ISC is currently working with the EB administration to create a competition that relates to the EBCCB. As soon as the details are worked out, I'm sure ISC will post them. Okay, thanks Jim. Then one really final question. Would the hallway be built into the 16 times 16, or seperate!I should be able to finish one within the month, though I have another project I want to pound out first! The hallway is a seperate thing from the 16x16. The following diagram that I made illustrates this: Hope that helps! ~Thrash

I expected the gatehouses to be a little more detailed, though could you have the walls 12 high just on the ends to join up to the smaller modules. Then you can step up to as high as you want it. Do you wish to join up, if so I will put you into Beta and let me know what you want to have a crack at too. Thrash, I appreciate all the help, and Jim too. I will take a closer look at Thrash's work soon. Zepher, cant wait to see what you make, hope Thrash's 3d plan helps.

Buttons Posted January 11, 2009 Hey fellow builders 2 questions 1. How would I go about making a thumbnail 2. Who puts the fanncy writing for what module you are doing on the picture? I ask these questions as I have nearly finished my module and I will soon be posting it. Also why have I been removed from doing one of the staircases? EDIT: Damn, darkagent! Looks like I have lots of competition, now... Sorry JimButcher. I started off with an empty room and the figures. Then I looked at the list to see what I had enough parts to make and would go with the figures. It's all in good fun . Just make sure that you post a picture of it from the front so that I can put the writing on it and everything. Then I'll post two sizes in my brickshelf folder: a 640x480 and one with a height of 160 that will serve as the thumbnail on the first post. I don't know what staircase you're talking about. Regardless of what staircase you're talking about, you're still welcome to do it. ~Thrash
Sir Dillon Posted January 12, 2009 You've got some great work going here guys! I'm impressed with the success you all have achieved with this project. I'm planning on making an entry in the MOC Index for this, using thumbnails of five or six of the modules which will link back to the first post of this thread. I'm wondering if there are any in particular you would like me to use?
I Scream Clone Posted January 12, 2009 Here Is a well balanced selection for the MOC index Sir Dillon. Its nice to get it recognised in the MOC Index too Could you imagine if they had of all been posted in separate threads, what a nightmare organising that Here is the codes for all and a code for the first page too. Erdbeereis Posted January 12, 2009 I was starting on the kitchen, when I realized, I don't think I'll have enough light grey bricks for the whole thing... Do you think it would be okay to have a mix of 2 colors for the kitchen? Maybe light grey and dark grey, or light gray and white? And if it's okay, should they be in solid layers or mixed? I put them in beneath the vehicles section. I admit I was a bit relieved when you all decided to just post the modules in one place.

Maybe light grey and dark grey, or light gray and white? And if it's okay, should they be in solid layers or mixed? It should be fine if you just mix light grey and dark grey. Then if we ever find a way to put all the modules together we can just rebuild it with all light grey to match the rest of the keep. How does that sound? ~Thrash

Erdbeereis Posted January 12, 2009 Alright, thanks Thrash! I think I'll have enough dark grey and light grey, but if not, could I use black or white combined with light grey? I've never had much light grey for some reason... I'll have to order some from Bricklink sometime.
