Excellent. We are all counting down. For general discussion, you can always post topics here.

As of now, there are 15 players signed up to start. Not a bad count but make sure to tell your buddies, share it on your socials, and flickr. We want to build this up.

Map has been heavily updated. Please review and get familiar. Any missions posted will be available as of Friday. The mission signup thread will be unlocked then. If you miss out on a mission, don't fret, more will be posted and you can always do freebuilds with your own storyline as well.

Lastly, EclipseGrafx has offered to boost our initial run of builds here with some prizes. I will drop information on that soon but you won't want to miss out on this.

Map has incurred final round of updates. Anyone who needs to be added to an alliance planning forum, let me know.

Game on tomorrow! Happy Hunting!

Hi, that's because it is an existing country and a while back I asked for players with existing countries to give me their writeups. Please feel free to write something up and PM it to me and I will add it to the map for you. It is your country so we didn't want to change your story.

Awesome to see the missions live, sadly I am going to be packing up my bricks this upcoming week for the move back to my old folks place, therefor I won't be picking up any missions right now.

I expect to be active again late july / early august. I might be able to squeeze in a freebuild but it's not a good time to commit to missions atm.

Hi, is the PMC the PSIC or something else?
KR

PMC are private military companies, seperate of the PSIC or KLR factions.

How can I compress files to be smaller than 0.1 mb? I really need that now.

You should be hosting your Photos on a hosting site like flickr or imgr and then posting the pics here using the BB Code.

I would also recommend to use Flickr, I think most fellow GBW players make use of it.

Any players who are with an alliance and don't have access to the private planning areas for that alliance yet, please PM me.

guys, I am the owner of achmelvik, and I am looking to start a build, and so I wanted to know how the terrain looks in the plains, also what guns, and vehicles can I use, and are there any standards for militias, or military?

Mainly it is PSIC vs KLR. Think Western NATO-esque countries for PSIC and Eastern Socialist countries for KLR as inspiration. See also here: https://greatbrickwar.square.site/organizations

If you want to make a PMC that can really be whatever you want. With the Cartel (Hermanos Prósperos) as the tertiary enemy faction for both PSIC and KLR to fight.

edit* I'm not sure if it's possible to join a country that was established by an existing player, personally I would be fine with that happening however if you do join the country established by another (still active!) player in that case I would say discuss standards with that player.

Double edit* I didn't read properly, you joined an unaligned country. In that case I think you can style your military anyway you want like with PMC's.

Alright man sounds good, but how about the area, how do the cities look, like is there any irl inspo?

Not quite, alliances won't come too much into play until we have a conflict zone roll out. Alliances can help each other out but they are not really duking it out anywhere. Everybody is letting that rivalry cool down a bit after Soalon (at least on the surface).

There is a little bit of background information on your country on the map so I'd start there. The terrain is listed as "plains" and given how far north it is on the map, that should be an indicator of how your country might look. Beyond that, you have a large coastline too. The backstory on the map might point you in the right direction.

With regard to your troops, this is your country. You can make them look however you'd like barring having them look like they are from 80 years ago or in the future. We are grounded in realistic modern warfare and militaries. From there, it is all up to your imagination.

Lastly, remember that you are not limited to building just inside of your country. Maybe you want to setup a little back story or foreshadow something you have planned... or maybe you sign up for one of the missions currently posted on the map. The choice is yours.

Let us know if you need anything else! Look forward to your builds.

@TheBeeze Can I use non-Lego sets? I mean, if for example i bought a helicopter from Brickmania, am I allowed to use it for a mission or a model?

Definitely. Just make sure you give credit where it is due. I want to add that posting JUST a helicopter from brickmania won't net you any points. But building a MOC with the helicopter in the build goes a long way.

The one thing not allowed is to use clone brand bricks or kits. I am NOT talking about third party accessories like guns and gear. No megablok or other brands.

Haha I think I've been misunderstood, the way I ment it is in terms of what to style your military after, I assumed Brickvik either had or was going to join PSIC or KLR (before editing my post) in which case for PSIC main inspiration for military comes from more Western NATO-esque countries and for KLR more Eastern Socialist countries.

In most cases you are right but there are always outliers (look at latin American and middle eastern militaries)

Also a question was brought to my attention: you are NOT bound to only take missions on the continent your country is on. There are no restrictions beyond what is posted in the mission description itself. Even free builds can go elsewhere.

Another question came my way I thought I would answer here publicly. Players are allowed to reach out to PMC players directly to discuss services and pricing. However, in order for the PMC players to get paid they must inform the staff of the transaction prior to posting the build for services and the agreed amount from whichever player hired them so we can transfer the funds in the banking system.

This applies right now only to @jansued & @Labrickchenko (who are still free to do their own side builds or missions as they desire)

Not thought about that yet. Maybe staff should function as a "broker" for managing the amount of paid missions and the payment...
