Off-grid camping

Camping may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine! Unplugging yourself from the grid that controls your daily life, living off the land, disappearing into the marshes and going feral, perhaps becoming a local legend in the process! How does that sound?

____

There's actually more to this build than meets the eye. I made it for a school assignment. I'm doing a minor right now which is all about developing your creative talents through various art forms, and I'm really enjoying it so far! We had a creative session, in which each person had to come up with several little crafts from throwaway household items, 'pressure cooker' format. For the assignment, we were tasked to make something inspired by someone else's creation(s), in a medium of your choice and in a way that is "typically you". LEGO was the obvious choice, haha! The idea which sparked this build was a mini tipi tent made from blue cloth on a block of wood. Nothing special in the eyes of the creator, but I really liked it.

The figure is actually the sigfig of the creator of the tipi. She built it during the LEGO workshop that I gave, and I thought it would be a nice little nod to her being the inspiration of this build.

____

Some technical details about the build:
- Built in LEGO Digital Designer
- Finalized in Stud.io
- Decorations (taken from internet) applied in Bricklink Part Designer
- Rendered with Stud.io
- Added background effects in Inkscape
- 1176 pieces, some of which in non-production colours

 Larger pic on my Flickr.

That's it, hope you like it! :classic:

Thanks, guys! Yes I learned some new tricks when it comes to the background, very satisfied with how it turned out as well!
