Coal Fired Bricks

Steam Train Boilers- ideas anyone

I've been building a Boston and Albany 4-6-6t and have done the firebox, cab, and the coal/water bunker. Though I haven't found anything round(ish) looking for a 6(ish)stud diameter boiler.

Ideas, pics, suggestions wanted.

Wow perhaps the heaviest tank engine ever..

Interesting the way you'll use for the bunker bogey

anyway what about the Cylinder Half 3 x 6 x 6 with 1 x 2 Cutout bricklink 87926

Yes, I know this is an older topic and everybody hates when an 'old' topic is bought up but this is only a week old so it doesn't count.

 

Here is what I came up with for a 6 wide dia boiler

I'm pretty happy with it and the tiles with grooves (don't know the name) fill in the gaps between sides of the boiler.
