New members barred from tutorials?

Recommended Posts

I'm wondering, why am I as a new member denied access to the tutorials forum? I'm not just new to this forum, but also to Technic.

A message to admins remains without reply...

Regards,

Peter.

Which tutorial are you barred from?It seems strange as new users are often the ones that need access to the tutorials on using the site.

It's in user Pandora's signature (and others), right in the welcome post entitled "Welcome to Eurobricks New Member! Get Started Here!" This is the link: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19193

When I click this link I get:

Sorry, there is a problem

You do not have permission to view this content.

Error code: 2F173/H

Thanks for your time,

Peter.

Yeah, all users seem to be blocked from that thread. Presumably it is an old link that should be removed from any welcome message.

Anyone with less than ten posts should see/be able to access the forum through that link. Once you make ten posts, the subforum is hidden. @Thai bricks, does this link let you in? Please try it out before you make any more posts!

Out of interest, does my signature work correctly? As staff, I can access plenty of parts of the forum that normal users can't. So I can't test it myself without faffing about with spare accounts...

Hi @Peppermint_M,

Yes, that link works. Like I said above, if you go to the only topic there at the end of the 1st post there is the link in question (in the sig). I have also come across that link in one or two of the other FAQ/noob topics.

Thank you both.
