Too good to be true [WARNING SCAM SITE]

Recommended Posts

Beware of this German language site :

https://www.rebbstore.xyz/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=lego eisenbahn&inc_subcat=0&sort=20a&page=1

Almost fainted when I saw the prices, apparently they have a huge inventory of super rare sets such as 7786, 7750, 10027, etc.. and all new sets at around 35 Euros each.

So, a Chinese company, not a German one. It's available in a variety of languages, also.

When you use Google Images on some of the images used, it's also immediately obvious that they're copied from other sites.

No real contact info, prices that are too good to be true for articles that are pretty rare, pictures and info that have been copied from around the net and a site that's registered in a country where consumer rights are at least hard to defend... Pretty standard classical scam. You pay, your money vanishes.

Thought I'd make some noise as wasn't seeing it listed anywhere as a scam site, people could fall for it if only picking up one set off a google search.

Yes, the 7786 and 7750 images are definitely lifted and just one example, the going rate for a 10027 train shed is 250 Euro used and 350 Euro used.

The support email is also to a different domain and the English version doesn't show any thing which is just odd.

Good spot on the WHOIS info.
