Crusader2050 Posted February 2, 2017 (edited) I had a box of Lego as a kid that contained parts for ( amongst other things ) a black steam train.. Bear in mind I might now 40, it would have been around 1980 ish? i don't suppose there are any instruction databases that go back that far I could search? It would be nice to re-create it for nostalgia.. Edited February 2, 2017 by Crusader2050
Elektrychka Posted February 2, 2017 There is a set databese at brickset: http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Trains/subtheme-4-5-12-V/page-1 As I see, there are more than 15 sets with black steam locomotives. So you can check by the brickset photo of train.

Beck Posted February 3, 2017 Not many lego users are aware of peeron.com. It's a great resource for finding free instructions from all sets, new and old.

Peeron always used to be a great resource indeed. I think brick factory is the best for instructions though. Or http://letsbuilditagain.com.
Duq Posted February 3, 2017 Peeron used to be the go-to site for instructions and inventories but they mostly stopped updating a good ten years ago unfortunately. Start with this list on Brickset: http://brickset.com/sets/tag-Steam-Locomotive/theme-Trains/subtheme-4-5-12-V The handy thing with Brickset is that from the set details page it links to all the other sites that have instructions.
