BrickWild Posted May 28, 2016 Is there any way to remove any scratches or other blemishes to restore shine from any LEGO part by means of using a suitable polish for plastic? Usually when I find mixed parts in bags/boxes at thrift shops for instance, they usually have scratches as a result of being moved or shaken.
AmperZand Posted May 28, 2016 (edited) If you have transparent parts that have become cloudy due to micro-abrasions, you can use Pledege Multi-Surface Wax to remove the scratches. But Pledge won't help if you can trace the lines of the scratches with the naked eye. It only works on very fine scratches. And it doesn't work on opaque pieces. MAB Posted May 28, 2016 If scratches are not too deep, you can use really fine sandpaper (2400 grit) to get rid of them. You obviously take a very thin layer of plastic of the surface, so use carefully.

BrickWild Posted May 28, 2016 Brasso works really well to get the shine back and remove tiny scratches. But it can also 'erase' any printed decals if you're not careful!
