Event Report: BalticLUG 2 Year Anniversary

Recommended Posts

This weekend members of BalticLUG ( the united lug of Latlug, Litlug and Estlug) hosted an annual anniversary event at our ambassador's Lukas place in Lithuania.

The BalticLUG was founded on 8th June 2013 as a result of Lego CEE department's initiative to get in touch and liven up the afol scene in the Baltic countries.

They found builders from this region via. internet and the BalticLUG project was born. There were people building and posting stuff on internet before

but the foundation of BalticLUG has lead us to hosting nice Lego related events and spreading the word of this hobby to wider audiences. And each year we're hosting this members only anniversary event.

First off, meet the crew and here is a group shot of builders from the Baltic region, persons in the picture from the right:

Lukas( in the red T shirt)- the current BalticLUG ambassador, the owner of Enigma Bricks bricklink shop.

Lauris- the former BalticLUG ambassador and a fan of building Technic models created by well known talented builders like NKubate, Madoca, Nico71 and others.

Rolands- mostly known in the Flickr community as a masterfull and highly detailed model team vehicle builder.

Alex- a passionate Technic builder and Eurobricks user, has a vast collection of Technic set and moc creations.

Tomass aka. Ramidalis- active Flickr user and builds mainly with system bricks in wide range of themes like modular houses, city, space, etc.

Andris aka. TGBDZ- that guy who recently won the Eurobricks Technic C-model contest! Also known at Flickr for his stylish Mechs and Space stuff.

Marcis- a hardcore Technic builder, Check out his flickr feed Marcerius_lv to see what awesome Technic projects he has in the making now

Peteris- that's me and I'm mainly building a wide variety of stuff with system bricks. Also the one making tons of picture galleries from LUG events.

Obviously there are more than 8 builders in our lug but others for some reason could not make it to this event.

We also had some non Lego related fun activities like tasting fantastic local food (and beer) and having a chance to make a paragliding flight. That somehow stayed off the pictures but in good memories :)
