We’ve had a car, boat, train, plane, and even a horse in costume style. Theoretically the flying saucer from the Space series could count too. At this point there’s only so many modes of transportation left. I guess they could do a submarine, bus, horse drawn carriage, or fire truck? Vehicle Costume Series, anyone? Quote

Obviously I don't have any concrete data because we don't really have any way of quantifying that but like every piece of themeless Lego merch for kids whether that's stationary, plushies, Pencil cases is always littered with the costume figures, the hotdog guy is the closest thing to a mascot for LEGO and at least 2 of them are in every LEGO merch line, game, movie and so on. They're all over the LEGOLAND parks as mascot costumes and statues. Also it's the only themed CMF gimmick to be done more than once. LEGO has made stupid decisions before but if they weren't popular with kids there's no way they'd be pushed this hard. And, completely anecdotally, I remember back in the day the costume figures all were big deals when they were first introduced, people went mad over the Gorilla, Bunny, Hot Dog and such. I'm sure there are exceptions and kids who don't like them but even if I as an AFoL don't care for them it's very obvious they have a big market Quote

So I would say “almost” everything. But I can see CMF has its reasons for anniversary stuff. Quote

Lion King Posted December 21, 2025 Posted December 21, 2025 Okay, every Lego themes have their anniversaries every year. If Tahu and Lloy have their own anniversaries in CMF, did Basil the Batlord, Johnny Thunder and Dash get remakes in CMF because of their annivaries? Classic Police Officer showed up in Series 18 because he is a very first mini figure to show up in Town in 1978. Quote

That would be amazing if they do an exact copy of original minifigures for 50th anniiveary of min figures in 2028. I can’t predict how likely they do with classic minifigures we had numerous remakes of minifigures form beloved themes like Johnny Thunder, Dash Justice, Basil the Batlord, Mutant Blacktron, Ice Planet Explorer, M:Tron Powerlighter. Mutant Blacktorn is not exactly what Space fans were hoping tho. On other hand, I like idea of classic minifigures (as “legacy”) being introduced in every series. Quote

Take a look at the first town sets and then the last ones and then tell me if those are more similar to each other than the later to City. The design language changed all the time, just look at last/this years City Space or Construction and compare it to other city sets. In the end Town, City and World City are all the same thing just like Icons and Creator Expert, different marketing and Logo, but aside from that not that much changed. Quote
