I voted for:

1. Blacktron Renegade

2. Galaxy Explorer

3. Blacktron Cruiser

4. Lion Knights Castle

5. Barracuda Bay

Almost the same selection for me, but I put 10320 Eldorado Fortress instead of the Blacktron Cruiser. It has stickers and it is forgettable with the Renegade around in my opinion. And if I had to consider a GWP in this vote I would have take 40567 Forest Hideout.

Also I went full classic era revival themes because it is what I love the most and what I would like to see more in the future, so I excluded licenced themes otherwise I would have chosen 10316 Rivendell and 21348 D&D : Red Dragon's Tale.

I'm all for the revivals too (at least in the Space theme), but I have to agree on the Blacktron Cruiser being disappointing and still preferring the old one. I'm trying to make a size up Cruiser MOC going behind the Renegade cockpit but that's another topic for another day.

As for my votes, Blacktron Renegade & Galaxy Explorer share my highest spot.
The Icons ECTO-1 definitely gets a spot too.
Still deliberating the remaining 2 spots...

Blacktron Cruiser was not good set. It was quite the opposite.

Sadly I agree. And I also think the new Renegade is easily the worst Icons set ever, in terms of design and aesthetics.

I voted, and put the Galaxy Explorer in the top spot. I also voted for the Friends Space Research Rover, Forest Hideout, Lion Knight's Castle, and the obscure 60395, which is a perfect set.

I considered voting for the new Eldorado Fortress because I own the original and it is one of my favorite sets but didn't vote for the new one because I didn't like the reimagined Imperial Soldiers and the the fort would look a bit out of place next to my other Imperial Soldiers sets while both Blacktron sets fits seamlessly together with my old Blacktron sets. I don't see it as a bad thing that the new Renegade is a bit different from the old one because I plan to display both of them together. I prefer original style minifigs in the Icons sets like all three Icons Space sets have.

My votes:

75409 UCS Jango Fett’s Starship (2025)
(Slave 1 is my favourite SW ship design, and the recreation in LEGO is near-perfect.)

76286 The Milano Spaceship (2024)
(If I had to pick one set to represent the best of the best LEGO Marvel can offer, it’d be the Milano. Probably and most definitely the most uncultured pick, I’ll admit.)

10350 Tudor Corner (2025)
(I mean, in my eyes, it’s easily one of the best modulars in a long time–maybe one of the best ever.)

10316 The Lord of the Ring: Rivendell (2023)
(Most likely to get Number 1, and deservedly so. It’s one of the best, barring the tedious step of placing dozens upon dozens of 1x1 tiles.)

10497 Galaxy Explorer (2022)
(*insert gloating about how poorly done the Renegade was* …but this set is how you redo a classic and exceptionally so!)

Funnily enough, I own none of these sets as of yet, so take all that I said with the appropriate grain of salt.

Lion Knight's Castle, Rivendell, Barracuda Bay - I feel like these three are obvious picks.

Boutique Hotel, for some modular representation.

And Spring Lantern Festival, because that pagoda roof is still the cleverest official build I've come across.

True but the alternate build that is at the Lego building app, is actually good. I was not going to buy the Renegade. So ugly but the alternate build made me buy it.

The original Eldorado Fortress looks better, more yellow, better looking gates, doors,a better governers office....

And the most important part : the old bluecoats look more crisp. The white printing is terrible on the new ones. Absolutely no excuse for a premium product from a multinational.

Still I have bought it and also own the original.

I did wrote a bad review at Lego site but they remove It! :damn:

1 Lion knights castle ( my favourite theme is castle)

2 pirates of Barracuda bay (brought me back to Lego after a long dark age)

3 Galaxy Explorer (never had the original, was not even born but I did had a lot of classic space)

4 Rivendell (and I am not even a Lord of the Rings fan)

I would put BDP Mountain Fortress in it. It's a better looking castle then the LKC.

All sets above are displayed in my small brick room together with some alternate brands.

I agree. It is still a good set but not something for me. I ordered several large flags from PaB for mocs and idea book builds. I wonder why the Space sets (Galaxy Explorer, Blacktron Cruiser and Blacktron Renegade) have original minifigs and the Castle and Pirates sets have reimagined minifigs?

Well, I wonder that too. But there is a reimagined Blacktron 1 minifig from the CMF line years ago.(Not to be confused with the later Blacktron 2 mutated minifig.) It appears he is not human after all if you remove his hellmet.

Yes, and the upcoming minifig book will include a reimagined Blacktron 1 minifig. I've preordered it from Amazon.

Just looked it up. That Blacktron minifig looks amazing! Printed legs and Blacktron triforce logo on torso.

Why didn't they include it in the Renegade remake?!

I guess they wanted something exclusive for the book. I appreciate the original minifigs (+backprinting) in the Renegade but maybe one remake minifig could have been included. I have the older version of the book with the orange Classic Space astronaut.
