Ah too bad. A turning head piece always wins from a non-turning one. A non-turning one is also less useful for figbarfing.

Indeed & agreed.

I never thought that i’d like the peacock, but that headpiece is cool. Most of the headpieces look good. I hope the croc head isn’t attached to its tail?
Now all i need is a lot of Fabuland minifig torsos.
and i think the Cat is white and not tan

You're right. The cat IS white. Didnt see the second slide before, but that pic clearly shows it to be white.  Considering the mask looks like the cat from Series 27 and the yarn ball is the same color, I expect the cat costume will be the same S27 Cat Lover but wearing a disguise

.....

Also, in the third slide you can see the croc mask and the tail are molded together

I don’t’ think lack of turning headgear is a big issue. I just like Shark Suit Guy a lot. I could not remember if there is another animal costume fans with no turning headgears that separate from tails in non-licensed series so far?

Lizard suit guy.

That doesn’t count because it has separate headgear and tail, not a single piece like Shark Suit Guy’s.  I was saying that there are so many animal costumes with turning heads so Shark Suti Guy is only the one so far.

The Fish costume from this series will be the same

And I bet the Dolphin one as well

Yeah it ‘s nice to see more single-molded mask+tail pieces1

It’s interesting that there was no space-related minifigure in Series 25 then we got Space Series 26. But we do have animal costume in Series 27 (hamster and Pteranodon), yet we will get Animal Costumes Series 28.  It doesn’t look like it’s same pattern for both special themed CMF series after all.

Can’t we get Chinese New Year CMF Sereis?!

To be fair, Series 25 and 26 were back-to-back series, while 27 and 28 will be a year apart. It's not quite a straight comparison.

They're already included in the Chinese New Years sets, and get released one at a time. Most of the headpieces even end up on Pick a Brick (though they are quite expensive). I'm sure Lego including them there gets more sales than they would doing them all at once - especially when some of those animals might not be New Year's relevant for over a decade.

That’s very true. Definitely not a pattern for both Space and Animal Costumes, although there will be Seires 29 in May 2026.

I meant that it would be nice to have a complete Chinese New Year CMF series instead of waiting for a costumed minifigure exceutive to Chinese New Year set annually (even tho we are already halfway to finish the cycle).  But I completely forgot about PaB part!

Pics are out! It’s gimmicky, but I really like the series ^^ Some neat accessories like that new bubble piece and the lion tail!

They look really great, especially the peacock.

Legit did not expect to see new parts as accessories in this series - so the new bubble & rubber ring are a surprise! Think the dolphin & fish look pretty weird. Slightly disappointed the clam shell isn’t a new colour

Lion is my favorite of the bunch. I'll grab one of him, even if he arguably has the worst accessory. Might get one or two others, but I didn't need a full series of animal costume to begin with.

I mean, worse than the cat’s accessory?

The ball of yarn is at least new. Turkey legs have been around for, what, nearly 20 years now?

New since this year, but not really something special, since it was included in quite some sets since then.

Lions are well known for roasting and eating turkeys too

Ohhh they look great

Lion and Dolphin are my favs!

The Monkey guy totally needed short legs though

I wonder.... are they phasing out the short legs piece?

Because the fish costume looks like a little girl. That one also needed short legs, but they gave her the medium ones

I doubt they would phrase out short leg piece as that piece is still sued in other sets this year, don’t they?

ohterwise, I would be surprised to see a MOVING pair of short legs (again I doubt it).

Why does the Monkey need short legs though?

For the fish I would guess they took the mid legs, because they wanted to print them, and there isn´t really much space on the short legs to do that. To me that figure looks great as it is and actually I also think it would look weird with short legs having such a big head.

I love it! I love it! I love it!!!

My faves are the Lion, and the Monkey!

I really wish Lego would find a way to 'include' some sort of hand or stud attachment to the fins/ wings arms, so at least they could 'hold' something.

On the one hand, I really do like the mid-legs that are movable, but agree the goldfish may have looked cuter with short legs. Could it be that the tail fin would sit too low with the short legs?
