LEGO Collectable Minifurries Series 28. Rumors and discussion

This minifigure series will be all animal costumes!

My guess is that will reuse some of the chinese zodiac masks

Based on the leaks, we already know two figures that will be coming: koala and cat. 

I think another dinosaur is likely - probably a brontosaurus.

And I'll guess that we get a reuse of either the fox or pigeon and get a corresponding costume (even though we already got a fox, it could maybe repeat).

Don’t get me wrong but I prefer phrehstioryc creature over dinsoaur like saber-toothed tiger and woolly mammoth. 

I can’t see fox or pigeon mold show up in CMF as they already pop up in City theme…..

I think that’s odd that we will ahve a cat costume in Series 28 as we already ahve one in  Series 19.

LOL, i haven’t thought about that! Good one! :)  but i think it’s Mastrdon, not Mammmoth?

Accesories will be very tricky in this series, considering they'll need new moulds for the masks

Thats why I think they'll recolor some of the chinese zodicacs like Ox and Dragon

I feel like we will also get an insect costume, mini fig.

For the dinosaur costume, I do agree a brachiosaur is likely, although a stegosaurus would be awesome.

What I have seen is that 2 animal costumed headgear have leaked previously and now they call the series "animal" that do not mean the series will be all animal costumes? 
Even if that is the worst scenario, the best would be a normal series that are animal themed where every fig has a animal accessory. Or something in between is also possible where we get normal figs with animals and costumed figs dresses as animals, but without any animal accessory

I get that some of you (AFOLs) are disappointed that  Series 28 would be animal costumes-themed just like you were disappointed with Space Series 26 last year.  I was disappointed with the lame so-called CMF F1 series. I really odn’t mind about speical themed series like 14, 18, 22, 26 and 28 as long as they include non-licensed minifigures.  It would be fun o collect diverse minifigure in in-house (both normal and themed) series. 

Food consumes series, anyone? :)

I think a new insect costume is likely as well. Maybe a caterpillar, scorpion, dragonfly, or beetle?

I think insects are old hat - let’s have some marine invertebrates instead - starfish or squid costumes, anyone?

Another series for me to skip completely if it is all animal costumes. If that is what it is, for all I care they can recolour or reprint existing animal costume parts.

You can’t blame Lego… obviously they’re catering to the hordes of loyal Animal Costume army builders fresh off of all those Ideas Animal Costume 18+ high ticket sets and all those Animal Costume BDS entries they keep approving, not to mention all those sales of Animal Costume pieces repeatedly selling out on Pick A Brick.. They’re just giving us what we all want.

Ah too bad. I would have loved an animal crossing series. Now let’s hope that there are some useful new pieces with this series then. A few of them new pigeons with a guy in a pigeon suit would work for me

I feel like, if we get those sorts of characters, they will be more like the anthropomorphic animal characters we got via Vidiyo

I have a feeling it's nothing like Chima at all which sucks but this series might have some useful parts.

This thought hit me a few hours ago, if you're gonna make a CMF that's completely based off of animals, why not just make a Sonic CMF instead? 90% of the characters are animals themselves anyway
