The port train being the only one not yet revealed implies that they might be doing something special with that one

I was checking, we are missing 3 sets (and the advent calendar I guess), the bike van, the cargo train, and that my city set that we know nothing about. Maybe later releases, maybe the store desn't yet have the sets, or they won't sell them... I mean, they haven't yet put out the page for the Lava Land park. I don't think it's anything speacial though. It is wierd it doesn't come in the promo pictures of other sets though.

Oh right, I forgot about the van and my city set, guess we're waiting for May to see what they are

I think it's the Lava Land set.  There were supposedly 3 My City sets: Car Wash, Pizzeria and Lava Land. Was there a 4th one all along?

This is an excellent wave of city sets. I'm not normally into them very much, but will likely get several of them. I like that almost everything has a really clear play feature, whereas many others in the past feel more like models/dolls rather than truly interactive.

Nothing wrong with imagination, of course, but it feels different and good.

CITY Wave looks significantly better than I was expecting. Pizzeria is disappointing however.

60480 - Backhoe loader looks great, and appears to be packed with a decent amount of detail especially for its smaller scale. Also appears to have new narrow tractor tires?

60492 - Plane looks really good for 4+. Looks more like a private jet than a passenger jet though.

60494 - Vehicles look phenomenal. The little office is a bonus.

60496 - Looks like they tried to jam multiple concepts into one set. Car is about the only decent build, but not enough to justify what I'm sure is going to be $65 CAD.

60497 - Great build. Building and cars all look great, though I do think they should have used the other wheel base as the cars both do look squished. The driver of the red car is a neat callback to the police officer from January though!

60501 - Cool looking build, but very much a recolor of 60421. Curious to see where the ~200 extra pieces went though.

60506 - Great set. Almost reminds me of old Los Angeles/Miami.

60511 - Train looks bigger than I thought, however not enough to justify the price.

Overall a good wave. Still need to see the Cargo Port, and the Mountain Van. CITY has really improved this year overall though.

The new wave looks fantastic, especially like the construction set, the tram and the train. Guess the pizza is meant to be some outdoor event location like thing, kinda strange choice to me.

The beach tram gives me Lisbon vibes... I'm hoping Lego gives us some Portugal-style modular or maybe something similar to the Italian Riviera but Lisbon/ Portugal-based.

This set reminds me a lot of the Praia das Maçãs Tram in Sintra. Given it also takes you to the beach.

The lack of trolley poles and the brown seal nearby makes me think it looks like a San Francisco cable car / scene to me. However, if you added trolley poles I could see it working for the other cities as the car's bodywork at the ends isn't quite right for San Fran.

So, in short: it probably is a hodge-podge of body styles, tram types, and city locations mashed into one scene.

Yeah, I was thinking San Francisco as well (brown seal not QUITE looking like San Francisco's iconic sea lions, but certainly close enough to give that impression). I love the look of that set... the piece count seems a little low for the price (probably partly on account of the tracks and many large plates used for the beach), but overall the finished product makes for a really appealing scene with lots of play/story potential! Back when that rail ramp piece was introduced in Hidden Side, this was exactly the kind of set I was hoping it would lead to... train sets with smaller trains and partial track that you could either use on their own or to add to a larger layout.

Well, I'll take SFO then! LOL

But still wanting Lisbon at some point!

Construction sets... OMG this quality since Chris Stamp took charge.

I agree the construction sets are very well made, however I feel City is a little vehicle heavy these days, maybe that has been a problem for a long time:shrug_oh_well:
I would prefer a wave of farm sets or other animal heavy sub-wave, however they manage to include some animals still in other sets so not all bad

I agree. Fortunately there are City compatible buildings in Creator 3 in1, Modulars and BDP.

Hey, give Porto and the North a chance as well! :cry3::tongue:
But Friends last year or so had a tiny yellow tram... That was smth I guess. I'm still trying to understand the fact that the first sets about my country are about Ronaldo...

Just swap the parts for red and either close the sides or open them more and you got yourself a Sintra Atântico! I also think the fishing rod piece is perfect for a trolley pole!

I'd probably make it 8 studs wide to add doors. But as a moc instead because I really like the original colors from the set.

Ever since the release of the Icons Stadiums and The Around the World Gwps I've been longing for a Portugal inspired set.

Well actually... we had new fire station, central train station, airport, scrapyard, the city tower, prison island, robot world and now lava land. Then there are smaller things like pizzeria and car wash. We will see new police station in the future since last one is from (2022). We had also that city center set, biggest yet.

CITY is quite strong theme today. Bank, Energy station, hotel, corner cafe, police BASE, Spaceport... and maybe some futuristic stadium for Octan Racers. Near future sport (city 2100). Mayor office, court house. AND don't forget that we could combine superheroes buildings and modular buildings with own custom city.

I can see a Police Station and a hospital in the next few years. I’d like to see a combine harvester too and a telehandler.

I’m curious - are there some new molds in the summer wave?

And which sets are Great Vehicles for construction sets? I would like to add some to my modular city.
