According to Stonewars the black unprinted pauldron piece will be available at PAB (in October or later this year?).

Pretty strange! PAB-exclusive parts aren’t really a thing, are they? So maybe it shows up in a set at some point?

That's cool. I haven't been a fan of this piece but I might pick up a few to see how it looks in-hand.

The only characters I can think of are Wilco and enlisted Sandtroopers. Wilco's definitely not happening and this piece is in no way accurate to enlisted sandtroopers, so I'm not sure.

It'll probably just be used as some greeble on a set

I'm sure this is just hopium, but this can't be right. It has a smart brick, but is 473 pieces for $60? That's a downright reasonable price for lego these days. Whereas the X-wing is 584 for $90?, and the other potential smart brick one is 962 for $160? It doesn't add up. (Side note: glad lego's reduced those prices back down from the original US leaks. Assumably they either realized they were covered by the USMCA or that buyers were catching on.)

#20 is certainly a clone battle pack, presumably wolfpack or kashyyyk, maybe 212th.

I've got some hope for 25 and 26, those are good PPP ratios and they aren't 18+. 24 is rough but no rougher than LSW tends to be.

22's pretty suspicious. 33 fewer pieces than the advanced for $10 more. I almost wonder if this one's got a smart brick. Best case scenario, this is the smart brick one and the advanced is normal. Worst case scenario, this IS the advanced.

It probably doesn't have a smart brick. Only the large/expensive sets will, other sets will have other ways to interact with the smartbrick-system, I think.

Rumors still say the entire wave could be retailer exclusive, I really hope those rumors are wrong. Retailer exclusive means no discounts.

75421, 75423, and 75427 are the only sets in the list that could have smart bricks.

75421 is Darth Vader’s TIE Advanced. 75423 is Luke Skywalker’s X-wing.

The latest leaked list says it does, but again, it's such a suspiciously reasonable price per part that I'd be surprised.

Does this mean the TIE advanced may not have a smart brick?

This might be the hopium talking but you say they could, not that they do. The leaked list explicitly puts 27 in question, but seemed to say the Advanced WAS a smart brick set. But again, the price seems too reasonable compared to the other two- if you're able to clarify this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Of course, we can be reasonably confident the X-wing has a smart brick, even without the atrocious PPP the leaked sketch pretty clearly shows the design is compromised to incorporate the gimmick.

My theories:

I think that 75422 might be either a Tie Avenger or a AT ST.

75420 will be a Anakin’s Delta 7

The 666 piece set is a Emperor’s Throne Room (rather fitting)

And  75427 will be a Wolfpack gunship

Day #162 of holding out for a Tie Avenger.

For yourself and all other posters, if you're posting what you think or guess sets might be please clarify that in your post. Too many fake rumors have started because EB users post a wishlist and Youtubers then quote us as the source for what ends up being a false rumor.

Oh sorry. My bad. Edited it now.

Since the other 5 sets that don’t have a smart brick are still supposed to be compatible with them, wouldn’t it make more sense for all of them to be based on the OT? :shrug_oh_well:

If so, that’s definitely a monkey paw situation :snicker:

I hadn't even considered that, but that is a good point. That actually brings up some interesting questions regarding what's "meant" to be used together. I'm sure basically any kid doesn't care that much, it's only natural to mix all sorts of stuff together during play, all the more so with Lego in particular. But on the other hand, what kind of interactions would even occur if you used an OT set with a set from another era? I guess if it's just more generic stuff like laser and explosion noises then it's fine, but I think it'd be fun to see some stuff more specific to those weird interactions.

75427 is supposed to be a smart brick set. That might be a gateway into Prequel/ TCW territory. Also, who else but Clone Bros would eat that ridiculous $160 for 900 piece price tag?

Not necessarily. Lego's got RTG going and has some marketing thing going on to specifically advertise to kids that they should mix their comic and MCU marvel sets. Lego does like to start these gimmicks off with the OT, but they usually also start off with only 1-3 sets. This is 8- I wouldn't be shocked if there was a Smart Gunship alongside that $40 set being a clone battle pack.

I worded it that way because the others have no chance of being smart brick sets, while the ones I listed vary from "has a smart brick" to "probably has a smart brick" like the list says.

Indeed! I hope we hear more about the March sets soon :sweet: More minifig leaks for the January sets would also be appreciated. Also the M&G sets, even though it’s way too soon for them.

What are people’s thoughts on the Death Star now that it’s out? I saw the set in person today and I must admit it’s kind of growing on me. I would have preferred it if they stuck to the spherical shape and too many of the figures need more detail but I don’t think it’s awful either.

I saw the set yesterday in person. Looks great, maybe a little overwhelming with all the different scenes. I also don't mind the missing details or the form of the set but the price is still way too much for me.

I really like the shape, and I also like the decision to include multiple dioramas. I'm still unsure if I'll get the DS. "Unfortunately," I already have all the dioramas (Final Duel, Trash Compactor, Meditation Chamber), so there aren't many reasons why I absolutely need the DS...

And of course there is also the question of how to display it, a case case costs 200 Euro.
