So even though the newly revealed Vending Maschine spawned from the Ideas initiative, Lego should do this to Trojan Horse a Lego Star Wars CMF into existence... just without the gamble factor. So not really a CMF in the sense of blind bags, but more in a way of getting a bunch of desirable minifigs all at once.

As fun as that would be, licensing costs would make that set even more expensive than the prize machine, which is a set a lot of people are saying is overpriced. (Personally for lego in 2025, given a minifigure allegedly accounts for $3 value added to a set, I don't think it's all that bad.)

Very happy to hear that- new mold number might actually be on the high end when all things are said and done. Even if it's just putting them in a more accurate DBG and they don't have the orange markings or any new molds besides the head, it'll still be an improvement- I still don't get how the dark brown commando droids happened, did they just mix the two colors they actually are?

To be fair, do we know it's based on ROTS? Lego really likes generic prequel era sets based on no specific scene- the 327th set, for example, or the MTT- I can't remember P2 bly being IN TCW besides a single shot of a montage at the start of S7.

Well yeah, it would obviously be highly overpriced, like much more expensive than buying a whole CMF in sorted order. But as things stand right now, this might be the only way to get it done. And if the execution is just right, even the build could be something noteworthy, it could go a long way. Imagine a dozen or 16 most wanted minifigures all in one set... I would like to see them try. Just don't make it a Lego shop exclusive. 

I know. During my childhood, at our local store, you could buy these weekly released Star Wars Magazines called Fact Files. Each one contained different topics like droids, planets, vehicles etc. The thing was, you could actually take out individual pages from the articles to continually build up your ultimate collection folder. It was pretty neat. Since the internet was still rather limited back then, i learned a lot about the expanded universe in there, including Mara Jade Skywalker. She was a real badass. Like a very well written character. Unlike many female characters by today's standards.

I might be hyped for the TCW MTT now. Commando droids would explain why there are only two true minifigs. On the other hand, I do fear that the CDs are compensating for a lack of B1s included/space for B1s inside. We’re meant to be going up, not down.

It’d be crazy, but I can’t help but think about the Solitary Clone from TBB and imagine getting an Imperial Cody at long last, as well as an Imperial Crosshair updated with helmet holes.

That's good news indeed. Makes getting only two minifigs more bearable and adds some much needed value to the set.

I kinda want this even more now. Just make it a pure Separatist set at this point, like the AT-TE was for the Galactic Republic. But that's obviously too late at this point. Stil not too late for a surprising Wat Tambor inclusion, though! 

 

Until Lego comes to their senses regarding videogame coverage again, the only way to experience more Jedi Survivor is to actually play it all over again. That double platinum trophy (if anyone in here is aware of PSN trophies) isn't gonna be earned by itself. The Cal Kestis minifigure will watch my every move.

There is a leak of half a clone helmet on Reddit. Not to sound like an entitled snob but I hate when people drip feed things like this just leak the whole head/figure not half. 

im sure that those who wants a 100%  accuracy will find a fault in it I personally don’t really mind. Just want to see the whole thing now. Not sure if the leak is Bly or a regular but hopefully the leaker will release the other half of the head at some point :D

So far I find three faults in it: The markings are too wide at the top, there's yellow between the visor and the brow line where it should be white, and the shade of yellow seems too light.

At least the fin is painted yellow, so they finally got that right.

While i understand the annoyance that comes with drip feeding things and would most definitely be fine without it, we should be thankful to even get these frequent leaks in the first place. Otherwise this thread would be a off-topic wasteland, as we would have a whole lot less to talk about. Here's hoping there will be a more steady flow of leaks soon.

That’s why I’m trying not to sound entitled but just feels like when they leak like that they are doing it more for the attention and the ‘clout’ of being a leaker rather than some of the other leakers who leak info in a more complete way for the community not for social media. I do appreciate the info and the fact the forum is on target, as we are so easily led off course. We are well overdue a forum wide argument about battlepacks/army building and helmet holes lol.

Yeah, i can definitely see where you are coming from. I don't like this desperation for seeking attention for social media fame either. It always reminds me that you can do the right things for the wrong reasons. Still glad what we are getting. Surely better than all those stupid fake leaks. Other than that, i dunno what you are talking about. I would love to finally experience people's perspective on all the things you just mentioned. But until they share their thoughts, everything is shrouded in complete mystery.

I’ve been following the forum for a while and i remember one of the old school leakers he stopped because people would harass them demanding to know every detail and all that and I think they just walked away as it wasn’t worth the hassle. But social media side is very annoying but suppose it’s part of the game now, everyone wants their likes and follows.
 

im always in the court of getting all the info when its ready rather than drip feeding because sometimes you see half a helmet and then you just want to see the rest. 

Well normally when a new battle pack comes out there is normally arguments about army building whether it’s like how many sets you need to buy to have an army whether it should be 4 of the same figure or a mixture of troops etc or should just be one faction and not two blah blah blah.

I hate fake leaks there are a few accounts on other platforms that I have been gullible enough to believe. 

does feel like this summers wave is a big one in terms of number of sets but it’s been quite quiet for certain sets like the AT-ST. 

on a side note does anyone remember who the leaker was who said a loads of things would be coming to Lego and have all come true so far with the exception of the Endor MBS? Or was that the guy that had codename redwood but was the Death Star leak?

It’s definitely weird that we’re almost in June and still don’t have at least full descriptions of the summer sets. Information is being leaked at a glacial pace.

Initially I just interpreted that to mean there’s not much to look forward to from the wave, but getting updates on things like the new pauldrons / return of Commando Droids etc. reinvigorates some optimism that there may be more pleasant surprises on the way.

For your second (quoted) point, That leak came from @TandNbricks - pretty sure they confirmed that Redwood was indeed the Death Star rather than an Endor set.

I'd understand if they were cropping it weirdly to avoid a watermark, but I mean... obviously not. This is engagement farming.

I think a little fun with teasers and what not should be allowed  Of course it’s annoying when it crosses the line into engagement bait, but this is harmless so far.

I fondly remember when FBTB got ahold of the January 2006 set pictures and put a different funny filter over each one (like mosaic and swirly filters), only revealing the proper pictures a day or so later

I am under the impression i got the easier game going on. Yet i am slightly worried i am running out of fitting verbs, before this thing is either fully leaked or offically confirmed.

It might not just be the top of any helmet, but the helmet of one of the killers of arguably the most attractive Jedi alive.

The new pauldron piece is already marked as fake. That's the least thing we need right now. Drip feeding everything is tiresome, but you get there eventually. While fake leaks are just the worst, no matter how you slice it.
