thebricksbear Posted August 1 Posted August 1 1 hour ago, psqidexslizer said: I gotta disagree with this. Doomsday will be lucky to get six sets. Heck, with the way they’ve been cutting back on movie sets, I’d wouldn’t be surprised if it got four or less. There’s a lot of material to cover between the Avengers, New Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Dr Doom, and who knows what else. No way they’re gonna cover everything, or even the most important stuff. Plus, putting all their eggs in the Doomsday basket is risky. Sure, the Avengers movies did well, but a lot of that success came down to how much people loved Iron Man and the other OG Avengers. The new team isn’t much of a box office draw outside of Spider-Man. It’d make more sense to make a couple of X-Men ‘97 sets to cover things the Doomsday sets won’t. Plus, there’s plenty of characters that are covered by the show that aren’t likely to be in Doomsday. As far as the Blackbird and Sentinels are concerned, we have no idea if they’re even going to appear in Doomsday, and if they are, if they’re going to be important enough to include in sets. I agree, sadly. I'd put my money on the sets being spoiler free, or at least only containing trailer spoilers. I'd guess a set with some Xmen and Avengers, probably with some generic plate-terrain; a set with some New Avengerz and F4, and maybe another 1-2 with characters missing from the others... of course lots of repeats to make sure you're buying the whole wave and I'd assume Doom is in 1-2 of them. If we're lucky, it'll come with a D2C Baxter building since Feige has openly stated it's a staple set piece of the movie. All I want is a molded Herbie like the BD droids from Star Wars. Maybe we'll all be dead wrong and this'll be the best superheroes wave since Infinity War (or better)? Quote
doclord Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I have a feeling Sentry and Doom will be the standout figures, but I hope they show some love to the X-Men as well. Quote

Buckethead Posted August 1 Posted August 1 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/spider-man-brand-new-day-mark-ruffalo-1236232140/ Scorpion too! Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Kinda excited to see what they'll do with the Brand New Day sets. Spider-Man will hopefully look glorious in his new suit. Punisher and Hulk can probably appear in a bigger set. Scorpion would be great to get, it's been so long since the last one. Also, I wonder if Sadie Sink is playing a character that will make it into the sets... Quote
psqidexslizer Posted August 1 Posted August 1 It will be interesting to see how many of these characters actually make it into sets. Spider-Man is still popular enough that Lego might be willing to give him three sets, which depending on how many characters are actually in this thing, might be enough to cover most of them. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Punisher got left out for obvious reasons. Quote

To be fair, Spoiler There's been some pretty heavy leaks about them, controlled by doom, featuring in a major action scene vs the X-men So they're definitely in the movie. What's unknown is whether or not it'll be considered something too spoilery for lego. 6 hours ago, Sinistereo said: you're missing the obvious of what made it news-worthy: The suit has raised webbing and a symbol inspired by Tobey and Andrew's. JeanGreyForever Posted August 1 Posted August 1 There are still characters we haven't gotten from Endgame, such as Clint's Ronin, and it's been 6 years since that movie came out. No offense but anyone thinking Doomsday will cover what's probably a 40-50 character cast is deluding themself. Lego has less and less faith in the MCU with each new passing movie. With Endgame, they could repeat lots of characters who've already appeared in other sets, but most of this cast don't even have existing minifigures to reuse. Lego's been using TDW Thor for all the Lego sets with him, even though it doesn't match his look in many of those movies the sets are depicting. And more than likely, much of Doomsday's cast will end up in small roles or cameos. It's also a movie that doesn't have a completed script and is still being written as it films. What sets we do end up getting might not even match up with the actual movie, particularly when it comes to certain characters being downplayed or being kept as surprises. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Glad to hear a lot of the previously rumoured characters in BND already got officially confirmed, which means they’re more likely to appear in sets too! Theoretically, I mean. If they don’t show up, at least it won’t be due to spoilers! Quote
kevkipo Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) So happy to have a minifigure series where im tempted to pick up every character, spiderverse and Lego was a match made in heaven imo. If we could get Noir, Peni and Ham down the line it would be great to recreate this: Edited August 2 by kevkipo Quote
psqidexslizer Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Sony has posted a video of the new suit minus the mask. Looks great! Definitely his best suit yet. Quote
DaredevilFan Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Very excited for the new movie, only thing I don’t care about is the Hulk being in it. But all the new villains should be exciting. Hope we get 3 sets as there’s a lot of potential Quote
Pop Star c o Posted August 2 Posted August 2 I just saw the new Across the Spider-Verse series and man, it's so atrocious! I've always believed LEGO to not cross this line; I naïvely thought they have some dignity, but now I can see that they really got this far and I'm utterly disgusted. LEGO has been doing some appalling things this year I though they'd never do like making spiking up prices or black-washing Irene Adler but nothing even comes close to what they did this time. I don't know how the 1978 Police Officer could let this happen, I thought him to keep the watch around us but now it's clear and irreversible. After all of what we've come through LEGO destroyed everything with one sudden movement. I passed by the fake miniformulagures in silence, I remained retiring about black Irene, but I won't shut up now and I'm saying it out loud: MEGABLUCK LEGO!!! Quote

I personally intend to show Lego how outraged I am by boycotting the January 2026 Lego DC sets. I hope everyone here will be joining me. I repeat, do not buy any of the DC sets that Lego puts out in January. We need to show them how strongly we feel about this. Quote

Who are they, do they post like this often, like what are they complaining about with this series? Do they not like it because it's "woke" or whatever? It looks like every other Marvel CMF Quote

Pop Star c o Posted August 2 Posted August 2 31 minutes ago, Coryo said: What line did Lego cross here, exactly? The line of making twelve minifigures out of Across the Spider-Verse. Across the Spider-Verse is a monumental character-packed movie and it's unbelievable to me that someone would even think about only choosing a random twelve. That's fair, I do wish they would go back to 16 figures for each CMF series, especially the licensed ones. Something about Lego's attitude towards minifigures has definitely shifted since 2020, seemingly across most themes, unfortunately. Some of the choices were definitely frustrating when considering literally any of the other potential characters they could have included, I imagine the Werewolf, Cyborg, and Sun-Spider aren't going to be super desirable overall, maybe the Cowboy will have some appeal outside of Spider-Man fans. Fortunately I don't think anyone from this series will be hit by scalpers as badly as the Dragonborn Paladin or Wolfpack Beastmaster from the previous CMFs, those were near-impossible to find for me.
