I posted last year that the Second part of "Lego's Build the most detailed HOGWARTS" Series would be huge with 76454 Hogwarts Castle Main tower. You can actually see the size of the tower in the instructions from 76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons, page 132 and can tell that its going to be massive, The big question is of course how the stairs are going to be done!? Sadly Brickshelf is down and Eurobricks still doesn't have picture uploads available yet!!

Expand

Brickshelf has been bought since it was going to be shut down, so it's not available right now. EB has never had picture uploads, and I don't think ever will. You need to find someplace else to upload photos.

The Monster Book looks really neat but not like something I'd want or need, it's kind of an outlier that doesn't fit with anything else. I wouldn't spend EUR 60 on something like that. I still wonder if you can store stuff inside like in the trunks, though. Neville is also a very random choice of minifig to go with it and at the same time a boring one, seehing how often we've already had him. Why not Hagrid (as the teacher) or Draco (like in the old 4750 set)?

Expand

Not random at all. If people think about the book in the film, they will likely remember two scenes. When Harry opens it in the Leaky Cauldron and when Neville gets attacked by it on their way to their lesson - and I take Neville (hopefully with ripped clothes) over another Harry for sure.

Pretty sure the greenhouse set includes a roof because the sketch has brown lines in the ceiling portion. I think just one place is missing for the trees to poke through

Expand

Yeah, actually happy about this, so we can indeed place the greenhous at the ouside of Hogwarts (likely on next years big expansion. Given that they will prbably use big frames with glass, I would assume that they will just exclude the glass in one of them for the trees to go through.

At least it will be three different Nevilles, so probably the only thing they have in commone could be the hair, even the heads could have different second faces - though also possible that Monsterbook and  Pijama Neville share the same one. Greenhouse one I think it would be hard to make one fitting for that situation too.

Surprisingly, we already have the 2026 1HY set list, thanks to Brickmerge:

  • 76459 (8+)
  • 76460 (7+)
  • 76461 (8+)
  • 76463 (9+)
  • 76464 (12+)
  • 76466 (18+)
  • 76467 (10+)
  • 76470 (10+)

That's even more than we got this year! Pretty crazy! *huh*

1 more set, so nothing crazy but

The current 10+ sets are The Great Hall, Malfoy Manor, Mandrake, and Triwizard Tournament Arrival (and likely the Main Tower). And it seems nothing on shelves is 12+ (either 10+ or 18+) so that is interesting. Seems to hint at a large playscale set wave and probably a few decent size sets.

Really hoping for 3 sets related to the Modular Castle again like this January with 1 facade set and 2 swap-able module sets. Ideally to include the Viaduct Bridge and Divination Class.

Will the Viaduct Bridge be the flagship Hogwarts set of 2026, the way this year's set is the Grand Staircase Tower and last year's was the Great Hall? I'm guessing the Chamber of Secrets could be one of the sets or it'll be implemented as part of the Viaduct Bridge. The Slytherin common room could likely show up here too.

I expect the Viaduct Entrance (though I don't expect they will use this name as it is too obscure for non-super fans like Main Tower vs Grand Staircase Tower) to be the flagship, but given they didn't include any portion of the bridge in the Main Tower set (at least the sketch doesn't include any) I don't feel like any will be included in the Viaduct Entrance building. That is why I'm hoping they do it as a standalone set.

Once official pictures reveal, we should be able to confirm if the Clocktower will reappear as that would require a clip connection on the back of the Main Tower set.

As said above I think the Viaduct entrance could work. You could include the Slytherin common room with Malfoy, Harry/Goyle and Ron/Crabbe. Then you could do Myrtle’s bathroom and the Chamber underneath built into the base. Maybe Lockhart’s office as well?

There's quite a few omissions here, with 76462, 76465, 76468, and 76469 all currently unaccounted for. I'm expecting one or two retail exclusives out of these at the very least. Or possibly just sets that will come later in the year. Just as a reminder, 2025's numbering was all over the place. I.e. we had 76441-4 in January, then 76445 (Herbology) announced for June, then 76446 (Knight Bus) delayed from January to March, then 76447 (Flying Lesson) again in January but as a retail exclusive.

@brickbride

I think those set numbers are for the year 2026. At least according to reccent Unibricks video.

The UniBricks is showing those sketches that were on instagram, he confirmed moulded fluffy.

I was wondering, when have received a troll big fig in 2024, if it would be possible to get other creatures in the future sets in the same castle edition. Troll has not been remade since very long time, and for other big creatures we had Fluffy and Basilisk in the previous castle edition, and I thought it wouldn't be possible to have them again. But, it seems we are getting new mould for fluffy, then maybe we will get new Basilisk, or maybe a dragon in the future.

An illustration of the Hogwarts Express has been posted. It's actually Book-ends, not so much Book Nook. Like this, but no tunnel and with a Kings Cross Station/ Platform 9 3/4 setting.

I was personally quite confused at the idea of it being a book nook in the middle rather than book ends with a tunnel going "through the books" or something similar (haven't seen the sketch yet). This makes much more sense and should look really great I think.

And now it's Hermione's turn to get shafted  I think the HE actually works better as bookends as opposed to a book nook, but I hope the LOTR won't share that fate! Unless it's the Balrog on one end and Gandalf on the other. YOU SHALL NOT PASS... through these books in-between us!!

LEGO HP have been shafting girls for a while now, every affordable set including polybags since the Cho one has been Harry and Ron. Or Draco.

The Reobrix set is a book nook and looks great, but it has like 3.000 pieces. At LEGO's piece count bookends make sense.

EDIT: According to reddit there's also a non-licenced bookends set that looks similar (google Magic Railman Train).

Charms Class included Ron and Hermione at 19,99€, which should count as affordable IMO, Forbidden Forest also included those two and she was also in the Boathouse-Set aswell as the Potion class one.

I meant allowance-friendly sets. Like Aragog, Ford Anglia, Draco polybag, Harry polybag. Maybe you could include Charms Class which would give you 1 female minifig for 8 males, but the others you named are all pricier.

Fair enough. The theme as a whole has a much more balanced female-to-male-minifig-ratio than any other licensed theme, but they could still include more Hermiones, Lunas, Ginnys, Chos, Patil twins, or other female students in smaller sets ^^

I would argue that the term what is actually alowance-friendly is also quite different from person to person - but for many kids I would say buying a Set like Postions Class or Forbidden Forest should be possible - we shouldn´t forget here, that they won´t have to pay the RRP and also likely they would save up money for a set they want and not just spend it right away when they get it ;).

But eitherway, I get what you mean, but I do think that the main reason is simply because of the source material. We have two male main characters and one female one and if we check which would be the next most important characters, I would say they are Draco and Neville - and with teachers it isn´t different with Dumbledore, McGonagall, Hagrid and Snape - especially since the Sets Focus on the first two films.

Please not even more Hermiones (or Harrys and Ron´s) - I am actually quite happy that most of the Sets include just two of those three, if you want to have more included would mean less other characters ;)

I do agree that the problem lies partly with the source material; there's too few female characters and those are often not depicted positively compared to the male characters. (It's less obvious in the movies but the books make you wonder about JK's attitude towards her own gender.) It's therefore no surprise that LEGO love sticking Luna into random sets (such as the 2021 Chamber of Secrets where she's not even mentioned in the source material) or pick Hermione over Ron when they need two of the trio so that they can gloss over the imbalance. Even then, like I've said, LEGO themselves create an imbalance and prevent people from getting more female students at cheaper price points. The Cho polybag was a one-time exception but there should be more sets like it.

I also agree with @BrickBob Studpantsthat HP still has relatively more female representation compared to other licenced themes, but that by itself is something that should not be glossed over. (And don't even get me started on this year's updated Slave Leia over at Star Wars!) And frankly it's not as if they made much more of an effort with their unlicenced in-house themes. The only laudable exception was Friends. Before the reboot where they changed it because we can't have even one theme where girls don't play second fiddle to boys. /rant

That was a nice inclusion and a fun retcon on TLG’s part since she undeniably was present at Hogwarts for the events of CoS, given she’s only a year younger than the trio

Just like the first LEGO game retconned Sinistra’s and Vector’s movie appearances and how Kettleburn will soon be retconned into PS as well

Sure, but she's absolutely irrelevant to the story. Whereas, say, Draco and Snape are not but neither made it into the set. Or if they had just wanted a female and a Ravenclaw torso, Penelope Clearwater would have been a much better choice.

I have to say I like the greenhouse concept very much, if you ignore the exorbitant price. I sadly do not like the face print of the leaked mandrake. It will be interesting to see the minifigs. I hope for a recolour of the female hairpiece with ear protection.

I love the grand staircase concept. I care mostly about the first two movies. If they make next years expansion about CoS with the chamber, Basilisk and especially the bloody Baron, I am happy.  Sadly Kettleburn sucks with that hairpiece in my opinion.

I really hope for a 4th wave.
