Felkin Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I guess that nostalgia adults who fondly remember the old Batman movies are currently buying more Lego DC stuff than kids interested in "proper playsets". It's a shame, but hopefully 'Superman' will get children excited for DC again, and Lego will have time to bring out something for next year's 'Supergirl'. We might even get a 'Superman' set (belatedly) to go along with any 'Supergirl' set(s), since having Clark alongside Kara on shelves might help sales when Supergirl isn't as big of a name as her cousin. This is all dependent upon Lego finally remembering that they're supposed to make Lego sets of the properties they have the licence for, obviously. Quote
CloneCommando99 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 Huzzah. The Wonder Woman movie gives me hope that a Wondergirl will be featured in Teen Titans. Donna’s exclusion from the 2003 series did tremendous damage to her relevancy. Now we just need to get a fixer up in the video game department. Marvel and Image (somehow) are running laps around us. The possibility of world’s finest gives me hope that Lego will be backed into a corner and make sets based off it due to their Batman sells principle. Can we get Trinity, JLI and GLC movie announcements next please Mr Gunn? And a Dceased Elseworld adaptation? Now I eagerly await the Lanterns suit reveals. Quote
Mandalorianknight Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Good. It was absurd that she wasn't in the original plans. That post- DCEU, Pre-Gunn "10 year plan focused on Batman/Superman/Wonder Woman" still would have been best IMO, but at least the trinity are all getting movies now. Quote
psqidexslizer Posted June 11 Posted June 11 Great news about Wonder Woman getting a film and Superman getting a sequel. It is disappointing that Flash is the only member of DC’s big five not to have a project in development. Then again, it could be worse. Quote

He's who you meant by the 4th member of the big five, right? (Jokes aside I actually don't know who you mean. I've hard anything from Joker to HQ to Aquaman to, just, the concept of a green lantern. Not a specific guy, just the concept of someone wearing the ring.) Though A is A, and lego is lego, so regardless of what's coming unless it's wearing bat ears or makes more money than No Way Home we still aren't seeing sets. 3 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Lack of trust in DC films after a deluge of underperforming instalments They will backpedal soon enough if Supes does as well as hope it will! I think it's important to recognize that superman would probably have to do Avengers numbers to get retroactive sets. If it does good but not at that level, we might get a set for the wonder woman movie or a few for superman 2, but I doubt they'd go back to cover it retroactively. Quote

By big five, I mean the five big franchises for DC (excluding team ups) and core members of the JL: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Joker and Harley fall under the Batman umbrella and Aquaman is probably a close sixth. He’s just not as essential of a JL member as the rest and Super Friends did a lot of damage to his reputation. 25 minutes ago, Mandalorianknight said: I think it's important to recognize that superman would probably have to do Avengers numbers to get retroactive sets. Even if Superman does Avengers numbers, they couldn’t release sets until 2027. At that point, the sequel would probably already be in production (given it’s currently being written and is allegedly Gunn’s next project). Odds are Lego will just wait for that film and strike while the iron is hot instead of trying to cash in on a movie that released two years prior. Edited June 11 by psqidexslizer Quote

Kaijumeister Posted June 13 Posted June 13 It’s interesting to ponder that if Lego did decide to cover Superman this year for a true DC renaissance, how good would the sets have been? The (fantastic) trailers so have have shown us the minifigure and set potential are as expansive as they can be for a film, so many cool characters, scenes, and locations that would’ve translated amazingly into Lego. But all the same, we’ve seen how half-baked Marvel has been as of late (although this summer is certainly a step in the right direction), would DC have been similar? It’s a shame we’ll never know. The reluctance to cover the film is somewhat understandable given how the DCEU’s films have flopped in the past, but not covering the DCU’s first film with even a single tie-in set just seems like wasted potential. If Lego covered the set they’ve been covering others these past few years, we’d have gotten: Superman vs Kaiju: includes Superman and Kaiju If they covered it the way they covered sets 5-10 years ago: Superman vs Hammer of Bolivia: includes Superman, Lois Lane, buildable Hammer of Bolivia Justice Gang vs Kaiju: includes Superman, Kaiju, Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mr Terrific, and T-Ship Fortress of Solitude: includes Superman, Krypto, Superman robot x2, Lex Luthor, Engineer, and Ultraman Quote

Dr Strange 2 was the only exception, and that set doubled as an Infinity War tie-in. Quote

DaredevilFan Posted June 15 Posted June 15 (edited) The Ninjago Jan set names have leaked, so maybe we’ll get Superheroes soon. Hoping for at least 1 or 2 actual sets with characters and builds not just Batmobiles and a mech Edited June 15 by DaredevilFan Quote

But for January 2026 sets for DC, I’d probably expect only two sets, and those being: Lex Luthor Mech vs Supergirl BvS Batmobile Minifigure Scale (with only Batman and Superman minifigures) Quote

Winter GL Mech with Hal and John 4+ Batcycle with Batman and Catwoman BtAS Batcave with Batman, Robin and two new villains (likely Two Face and Poison Ivy) Summer comic styled Batmobile reusing figures from this years Arkham Fortress of Solitude with Superman, Supergirl, Lex, Krypto, and Bizarro UCS Bat-Pod with Batman, Bane, and Catwoman Edited June 16 by psqidexslizer Quote
Agent Kallus Posted June 16 Posted June 16 I reckon if superman does well we might get it's characters in a future DCU CMF. Quote
CF Mitch Posted June 17 Posted June 17 Since noone mentioned the very blurry pic of what seems to be Arkham Asylum on IG, I take it it's fake? Makes sense I guess, since it looks absolutely stunning, but therefor also too good to be true Regards, Mitch Quote
