I think it is true. A picture of the Schumacher Batcave was posted by a reliable source, if my memories serves me correctly. Also, the Schumacher films are no older than the Keaton films, which we have gotten sets for.

To be fair the Bale and Keaton movies have both got regular sets, as cheap as 40€. The Batcave is 100€, so it's still at a higher price point.

I think kids won't care anyway, it's not like they're more connected to, say, Nolan's trilogy (if anything, Schumacher has more wacky and colorful designs).

As for the rumour—no one's outright said it or confirmed it, but it has been unsubtly teased by at least two leakers.

Do you think as Arkham (and maybe the Batcave) is the only thing left this year Lego has a bigger budget to put in that set? or is that not how it works.

If DC was its own entirely separate theme, that‘s how it would work. However, they share a budget with Marvel, so the number of Marvel sets as well as the new parts, prints, and recoloured pieces in them affect the DC budget too

I'll probably take heat for this, but Batman Forever is probably as close to a comic book Batman movie as there is. Or at least it tracks as closely to the comics of its time. Agree that it's probably the one where kids would least likely associate it with a specific movie.

I remember reading an article Where Joel Schumacher's wife said that shortly before the WBD merger that management had greenlit a Schumacher cut as it only needed a million to polish it up. The merger stopped that happening 

 Timelines don't sync up so it's not but it'd be funny if this set, like the shadow box before it, was a loose tie in to a planned project that this time was pulled after they'd developed it

I honestly like this movie, especially Val Kilmer's Batman. I love my Batman being wacky instead of all broody and serious.

I like it. It gets a bad rap, although I'm not in the corner of the people who defend it as some great misunderstood work of greatness. It's got its plusses (like you said, Kilmer just being a normal dude), and its minuses (Tommy Lee Jones, what is you doing baby?)

Exactly! It‘s just fun. There are different flavours to Batman in various media, so there‘s nothing wrong with a more campy film version! To be honest, I even like B&R  It‘s stupid as all hell, but a guilty pleasure of mine

Batman and Robin is even better than Batman forever because it's fully leaning into the insanity. An Arnold Freeze, Uma Ivy and Green Bane would be great. Freeze's stupid Tank would be a fun set. ( Unlikely though considering it's not a batvehicle!).

If The Batcave has a good computer, a turn table, a Batmobile,Nipples and a Bat Credit Card, might be a pick up for me, I still prefer dark and brooding Batman though

Doubt we'd get brain-damaged Bane from that movie though

Batman, Alfred from Shadow Box,Mr Freeze and Poison Ivy, Robin is not included as usual

What if after seeing the success and hype from the Superman trailer Lego said “Arkham D2C, what a joke,” and replaces it with a Hall of Justice modular and all employees wear a superman costume in James Gunn’s honour?

Hello everyone. If Superman mech was released this year, does that mean that, theoretically, Wonder Woman mech or Supergirl mech could be released next year?

It's possible though if it did happen it would actually be the first of these superheroes mechs for a female character, there's been a of a bais so far.

Theoretically, sure. In theory, Lego and DC could decide to produce a mech for anyone they want from Batman to Blue Snowman. IMO, Supergirl and Green Lantern seem more likely than anyone else next year just because they’re both getting projects. But a mech isn’t a guarantee.

This would only make sense if the only figures the set came with were the employees in superman costumes. (Everyone using the torso print from the mech)

Honestly I don't think we get either of those unless it's like, august 2026 at the earliest and the superman mech was their bestselling DC playset in years. It takes awhile to make a set, and even though they could fast-track a mech, the superman mech would have to have had CRAZY sales numbers, and it still would take a few months for lego to see the demand.

I mean I think that's moreso because it's generally the A-lister heroes (Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Black Panther). We've had a couple for B-tier characters like Rocket and War Machine, but I'm not at all surprised that lego's internal research or whatever found that War Machine and Rocket mechs would sell better/made more sense than black widow or scarlet witch mechs. I don't think there's really much evidence for lego having some sort of bias against female heroes.

I can exclusively confirm it was delayed because lego realized we want more than just batman, so the figure selection has been altered to now include:
Batman, Joker, Composite Batman (It's just the batman figure with a superman torso), Superman (From the mech), Lex Luthor (prison jumpsuit), and then prison jumpsuit outfits for Ares (human disguise, re-used head), Captain Cold (re-used head), and Black Manta (re-used head).
