a guy from somewhere Posted January 29 Posted January 29 71843 Rogue's Mech Dragon Rider 584 pcs. $69.99 June 1, 2025 The set features a mech for Rogue that rides a mech dragon. The set includes 4 minifigures: Rogue, Rox, Arin and Dragonian. -Fateful Quote
Agent Kallus Posted January 29 Posted January 29 (edited) Rox in that set is good because I'd like to get her and that set was one that stood out as interesting. Of course pictures will be the the real decider! Fateful has also posted a list of which Forbidden five members are in which sets. For the June sets it's : Rox in set 71843 - Mech dragon rider Nokt in set 71844 - Ninja Combat vehicle Zarkt in sets 71842 - Rontu the master dragon, and 71848 - Temple bounty Drix will in set 71840 - Rogue Versus Drix Race car battle And the fifth member in set 71845 - Lloyds transformer mech Edited January 29 by Agent Kallus Quote
Lemerbrix Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Took us long enough to get Rox! However, why is it that the two figures everyone’s going to want, be in an overpriced set and a $100 set? Quote
Sikd4 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Do y’all think nokt, drix, and Zarkt will get new designs in the summer wave like the last major antagonists last year? Quote

mantax Posted January 30 Posted January 30 There's more set descriptions from the same source as the Kai bike and Fire knight mech: Arin's spinjitzu mech $20 213pcs - It's just like the elemental mechs, the mech has 2 large swords. Minifigures: Arin, Dragonian and small Riyu. Rontu the master dragon $45 381 pcs - Rontu has place for 2 minifigures on the back and stud shooters under the wings. There's also a small temple side build, with a function to reveal a hidden message. Minifigures: Zarkt, Lloyd, Sora and Wyldfyre. Temple bounty $200 - There's a sushi bar below the deck, The bounty is for the ninja, and not the Forbidden 5. Rontu does sound really great with the minifigures, but what I'm not a fan of is the side build, as this means less parts go to make Rontu, and less then 400 parts already felt small for her. Now the Rouge's mech might be a must have for me, as there might be the Arin from Thunderfang here, and with Rox exclusive to this set, this just feels perfect for me. With that I'd just need to get the Lloyd's transforming mech jet to complete the forbidden 5, and that set was the one I was the most interested in from the name. The placement of the Forbidden 5 isn't the best, with Rox and Kur being exclusive to only one set, I was expecting there to be at least one more set to have 2 members, which could then made it easier to collect them. At least I'm pleased with the fact that Nokt is in the most overpriced set of the wave, so that makes it really skippable for me. Now from the sets I'm the most interesed on if Wyldfyre gets a new suit. Since these would have been the 4th wave that version of Wyldfyre comes in. But I at least expect Sora to get one, as that new armor piece has leaked in dark blue, and I really don't think it's for Rogue. Quote

Rontu prob uses a bunch of larger specialized parts. Could be a similar size to the Riyu set from last year. I almost wonder if it's 4+ but that's too many parts for 4+ set. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Wow, lots of news, and I love the sound of most of them. Glad Arin is getting an Elemental-like mech, could go nicely along with Sora's. Rontu sounds like the most interesting set from the wave, and I'll probably end up getting this one. She'll go along perfectly with Egalt, and the minifigure selection is quite perfect for me, since Sora and Wyldfyre are my favourites. Rogue's Mech Dragon Rider sounds really awesome. The minifigure selection isn't as interesting though, since I already own Rogue, and both Arin and a Spectral Dragonian will come in a polybag. The Forbidden Five distribution is really weird. Nokt, Drix and Zarkt all come in three sets, while Rox and Kur remain exclusive to only one. I honestly think they should've taken places Drix's and Zarkt's places in two June sets, so the distribution would be 3-2-2-2-2, instead of 3-3-3-1-1. Anyway, this year is already absolutely amazing, and if that wave delivers, it will end up as one of my favourite Ninjago years ever. Quote
Sikd4 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Is it possible that P.I.X.A.L. will be in the summer wave with a new design? Quote

It is possible but side characters don't get suit updates as often so I doubt it. I just hope Sora isn't in her season 1 torso and legs again. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 30 Posted January 30 More set descriptions: 71845 Lloyd's Jet Mech: This set includes Lloyd's mech, which has poseable features and can equip 2 large sword accessories; this can be rearranged into its alternative jet form with wings, jet thrusters and a cockpit to seat a minifigure. Sora can ride on her small flying bike to face off against the Specter Dragon. Also featured is a banner containing a secret message that can be read using the Reveal Blade Included. 5 figures: Lloyd, Sora, Kur, Tyr, Spectral Dragonian Warrior 71844 Ninja Combat Vehicle: Following Ninjago's trend of combination vehicles, this 3 in 1 vehicle set can split into Kai's bike, Wyldfyre's bike and Frak's jet. Also featured is a banner containing a secret message that can be read using the Reveal Blade included. 6 figures: Kai, Cole, Wyldfyre, Frak, Nokt, Spectral Dragonian Warrior Quote

Also ghost dragons?! Why do I get a feeling that’s where Morro fits into this as a plot point. And I guess Lego’s taking the route of making a whole ton of new ninja by the looks of things. The original cast can’t stick around forever I guess. Quote
mantax Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Just when I thought the combat vehicle is going to be very skippable, they had have Frak exclusive to this set. But as much as I'd want him, I still don't see myself getting this, as the build dosn't really sound interesting to me at all(especially at that price). The Lloyd jet on the other hand feels really neat, 5 minifigures for $100 feels small, but that's the only set to get Kur, and with the build said to be an actualy transformer, this is a set that I'd most likely get. What I hate about this descriptions is the fact that the regular Zane and Nya are exclusive to a $200 set, they could have swaped them with one of the Sora, Kai, lloyd or wyldfyre figures, as they have duplicates in sets that are less then $100. Now with that being said, now I'd most likely get the Temple Bounty, since I already plan on getting Lloyd's mech, and Rogue's dragon, and the Kai bike. With all this sets I get all of the minifigures from this wave except Frak(and I really wasn't thinking about getting all the characters, since this just felt like a nice way to get all of the Forbidden 5 for me, so that just shows how their distribution isn't great). a guy from somewhere Posted January 30 Posted January 30 New ninjago city set has leaked! Fabulous looking, and a flexible corner. I love it! Quote
Meaf Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Seems a little bit smaller than the others, but that was to be expected. Looks great as always though, I love the characters on top of the two upper level buildings. Also I think Pixal is fighting one of them? Not sure what's going on there. The rest of the sets seem interesting but I'm waiting on pictures. Lloyd's mech and the display set dragon seem the most interesting so far. I somehow haven't ever bought a Bounty despite being a fan since Ninjago started, so maybe I'll finally get this one if it looks good. Quote
Lyichir Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Oh, the new Ninjago City set looks nice (and I appreciate the smaller scale which will make it slightly easier to find a place for it among all the others). Can't wait to get the full reveal so I can pore over all the little details. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Really good looking set. I like the overall layout, and how it actually feels like a mechanical district. Not sure about the mech, especially how it looks when displayed in the set, and not next to it. The minifigure selection is unfortunately rather poor though. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted January 30 Posted January 30 That's cool. I assume the bit in the middle that Harumi is sat on is a plinth you can stand the mech on to have them work on it. Frak getting a fig and seemingly joining the ninja team is good. I always thought a serpentine Ninja would be cool. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I just hope that Sora and Wyldfyre get new suits in those sets, because I can't bear seeing the exact same minifigures over and over again. Quote

That is also my main hope with these sets. I'd say that Sora will most likely get one, since we got that new armor piece leak in dark blue, and from some descriptions it was said that Rogue is the exact same as in the Dragonian Village, so it can't be for him. squiz18 Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Looks good, do we know when the official reveal is likely to be? Looking forward to seeing more details Quote

Agent Kallus Posted January 31 Posted January 31 They've started ramping up promotion for the third DR season with a trailer and poster. Gives us an official look at the complete forbidden five, in thier show forms at least. Quote
The_Fiery_Rooster Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Kur's look was completely unexpected, but very cool. I'm hoping the actual figure has a printed arm, since it seems they didn't add any printed arms to the other minifigs. Also, supposedly, the jet mech has a spectral dragon side build that combines with Thundefang. Makes sense given the unused clips on Thunderfang (wrists, back of the head, lower back) and very interested to see how it ends up working. My most hyped set by far! Quote
RichardGoring Posted January 31 Posted January 31 The official pictures of 71837 Ninjago City Workshops are up on Reddit. Lots of detail and functions. Pretty much all the rooms now come out as their own dioramas. Quote
