There is no way Gandalf will not be included in the Bagend Set - and I would think he and his horse will be included too - though it would still be possible that the GWP includes another Gandalf with the carriage. If there even is a GWP at all, as it is a comparable small set it could aswell just go without.

It would be about time LOTR sets started including horses, after all LOTR was the theme that made the updated horse mould 12 years ago. So hope you are right, maybe Gandalf with horse and cart in the set and a Black Rider in the GWP (another one in the set would probably be asking to much from Lego:hmpf:)..

I could see the GWP being a Ringwraith from when they’re searching in the Shire for the Ring. But I also think it’s about time some Ringwraiths make it into sets instead of always being locked behind a GWP

I think a ringwraith can be ruled out as a minifig in the Bag End set. They never make it that far, and it would kinda ruin the wholesome cozy atmosphere of the Shire that the set will likely go for

Always? It happened exactly once :laugh_hard: I know what you mean, but Bag End isn‘t the set to do it I think.

Personally, I‘m more looking forward to the book nook. Not my preferred format as I‘d rather have a regular diorama, but as long as the Balrog looks good, this will be an awesome set! :excited:

I’m talking in context of it maybe happening again

I never expected a ringwraith in the Set anyways, and not another Horse besides Gandalfs either. In this case though it hasn´t anything to do with Lego not wanting to include it, but rather that it doesn´t really fit in there, there are plenty of other Sets where it would fit better.

If it were a generic Shire set I would say include Ringwraiths. But being just Bag End it doesn’t need them. That doesn’t mean it wouldn’t make sense to include them, lego does that all the time if characters are in close enough proximity. By that logic, Barad-dûr shouldn’t have come with Frodo and Sam. Also the Ringwraiths do go all the way to Bagshot Row in the book. But since the sets are strictly movie based, I digress

I could see the GWP being 'Bilbo's Birthday' and including the cake, some barrels, tables & benches, ale cask and maybe a tent.

Honestly that would be awesome if we got travel Bilbo in the set and then party Bilbo in the GWP

Yeah, that would be nice.

Could be a pretty cheap and cheerful GWP.
Would even be a decent opportunity to reuse Merry & Pippin in the tent with the fireworks.

Plus two of them originally appeared in Weathertop, and the new version was available in online PAB aside from the hood. I've still got my original nine (well, 10 as I have a spare) but have mixed up the torsos now too, and once the hood becomes cheap, I'll mix some of those in too. So with 2 diferent capes, two different torsos and two differnt hoods, that is enough for eight different Ringwraiths. And the Witch King can keep wearing his knock-off aliexpress headgear until LEGO do an official helmet.

Anyway, all that to say Ringwraiths in a Bag End set wouldn’t be all that outlandish. But with it being a smaller set there’s just no room for that since hobbits would be the priority

We still haven't heard about brickheads, although I'm sure new ones are around the corner. So why not other sets with Bag End and the nookbook this year in addition of potential BH ?

Hopefully next year. I feel like a broken record at this point but we really need regular sets

I wonder who would be their next choice of Brickheadz?

Merry and Pippin or Aragorn in his regiular outfit and Boromir to complete the fellowship ?

I vote Merry and Pippin!

Definitely! Bilbo is also a good candidate, as is Boromir, as @Khargeust already pointed out :classic: Theoden, Eowyn, Saruman, Sauron, and the Witch-King are all viable options after those four are done ^^

I'm not interested in BH either but I find noteworthy the fact that there are certainly other ones planned while we don't have any rumors at the moment. This could also be the case for sets with minifigures. Maybe I'm too hopeful.

Why? You don‘t have to buy them if you don‘t like them  There are plenty of people who collect them, like I do. They are a separate theme, so it‘s not like they’re taking the spots of playsets.

I mean brickheadz are there own line so it's not like they're taking resources away from other LotR sets ( unlike star wars and it's non- minifig system sets)

Oh they absolutely are taking resources away. Set development time, unique sticker sheets, etc. Any resources spent on brickheadz are resources not spent elsewhere (maybe that wouldn't have been a different LotR set, but it COULD have been). Whether this effect is substantial or playing any role in not getting playsets is certainly debatable. But it absolutely takes up Lego R&D resources no matter how you split it.

It's a separate department. Should we just strip away their whole budget just because three people on eurobricks don't like them? The LoTR brickheadz have like three prints per set it's not that big of a deal. They're cute sets and clearly are doing well if they have been around for nearly a decade at this point.
